Information regarding the illusive 'Gabriel' and his organization known as 'H.U.S.H.' has remained largely undisclosed to the public. Many have speculated this to a strange string theories of where they originally came from. Their motives have remained unknown to to units deployed against them whenever their operations have been initiated. Usually too late and in process, H.U.S.H. is extremely violent. Often taking hostages, planting explosives and using any means to accomplish their goals. They have been labelled officially as terrorists in the eyes of the Border Alliance, citing their many crimes against their humanity, brazenly attacking time and time again. There has been few prisoners taken, as many have resorted to fighting to a bitter end or killing themselves for their cause in an effort to not release any information. Recruits are generally the only ones that have been captured, but more will be discussed on this topic further down.
Records point out that H.U.S.H. is extremely skilled in various forms of combat, indicating that within their organization that there is a degree of training that is committed to their new recruits. It is believed that the source of this training is given by founding members and is passed on and so forth. Recruiting efforts by the organization is something of a mystery, but speculations have been made and they look to the areas of operations that these terrorists often make an appearance. Worlds that have been brought into conflict between the supposed Sith threat and the Border Alliance specifically. Many are displaced due to the war and officials believe that it's a high possibility that H.U.S.H. finds these individuals and presents them with 'opportunity'.
Recruits are also considered not to be officially apart of the organization. While in terms of motivations and action, they are never given information beyond their means. If a recruit is handed a weapon and asked to report to a specific location, this is all the information they receive. Proxy agents have been identified as well, keeping their information compartmented, thus furthering the effectiveness of using recruits to act as lone wolves.
Deriving their intended mission is a matter of debate. Some have thought their intentions are merely chaotic in nature, following conflicts and influencing the local populace that has been affected by the war, often locals that are poor and downtrodden. Others have tagged along on this thought and have deduced that they only began showing themselves shortly after the proxy wars started between the Border Alliance and the Sith. And furthermore, a question left lingering is what allegiance they could have. Are they a lingering threat of the Sith from all those years ago? Could they have gone to sleep after the war had ended and now they've been activated to ignite the flames of a true war? Or could they be beasts of no nation? It's possible that they could be a pack of wolves scouring the field, picking clean what the Border Alliance leaves behind, growing more and more with each passing conflict as they sharpen their fangs. Waiting to sink them in deep and devour the Border Alliance before turning their gaze to the Galactic Senate.

The operation itself has been widely regarded as a success. An incident occurred on the planet of Trandosha that involved a radicalized regiment of the planet's formal standing military. Dispatched to covertly handle the matter, Gabirel and his squad were inserted behind military lines to gather intel. The mission progressed into having to deal with the regiment entirely as they were discovered to have a weapon of mass destruction. As directed the squad dealt with the radicalized Trandoshans, but were forced to detonate the weapon in the process.
While the media has called into question whether or not the incident was truly an incident at all, the operation was a success and the Republic's ties were never called into question. The organization that called in Gabirel's squad for review for their program were satisfied with the results and took them in to be initiated into the program.
The program itself was known as PHANTOM. The objective was to create soldiers who could excel beyond the normal limitations of their unaltered bodies and act as one-man armies. They would be inserted behind enemy lines, much like any other Special Ops team, with the simple directive of disarming the remaining Sith that were engaging the Border Alliance.
