It had all started when, while slinking through a bazaar on Commenor, a kind-looking old man had picked him out of the crowd and offered to buy him a meal at a nearby vendor. While usually suspicious of most individuals, especially those that appeared out of nowhere, Galen had experienced an unusual feeling of tranquillity from the man's offer and accepted. Mere minutes later, his bowl of stew was empty and the man was telling him to seek the Jedi Order on Ajan Kloss.
A week of deliberation followed until Galen had made his decision and sought passage to the jungle world, catching a ride on a cargo freighter that would be stopping at Fedje, allowing him to step off and find a ship heading for the Jedi's world. It dawned upon him quickly that the closer they got to the surface, the more anxious he became - thoughts of being surrounded by unknown people who might despise him, as part of an equally unknown religion. Perhaps it would be better if he just left the planet as soon as he arrived...

He took a deep breath as they set down and the boarding ramp lowered, allowing him to hop off of the ship and travel up the path towards the temple. Was this like a university? Would he have to wait until next semester or something to join? Maker, he hoped not. The young man crossed his fingers and entered the building with a small amount of confidence in his step.
And that's how Galen Solusar became a Jedi Padawan.
