Slaves, spice and gas. That summed up Kessel in Jay's and most of the Imperials eyes who dared to explore this land. Smugglers in the system regularly transport both spice and coaxium. And those both fall into Imperial interest.

On the planet's barren northern side numerous mines stood. One called K47 particularly had been operating for nearly a year now. The slaves doing the hard work were mostly aliens, especially wookies. Some humans worked alongside them, but they handled the machines and everyday operations.

"This is what I had my eyes on for a while," Jay said as they landed nearby with his Nerf-Class Freighter. "Hope you don't mind I brought you along. Just keep your head down, don't let them know where we from."

To cover himself Jay wore a special Imperial Covert Dress that was designed to serve both protection and disguise. Underneath the clothes by his blade he hid a "Quickdraw" Blaster Pistol and wore a CZ MSBR attached to his back using a sling. His grenades were on him, as always. Nothing gave him away, he looked like any other criminal or mercenary.

"BZ-85, be a good droid and let us know if someone follows us or another ship comes," Jay ordered his BZ-85 Drone. "I am not expecting issues, lets talk to them and see what they have to say."

Arsenio Ulgo had decided to take a solo mission himself, coincidentally this one overlapped with the one the overseer had been assigned to take. Despite their close proximity to one another, their goals were completely different. While the Overseer and the Sith accompanying him had their agenda, Arsenio was there for a separate assignment. He was dressed in Ruffian Armor though a lighter variant with the same armaments and tech functions as his typical Imperial armor. The disguise was to make him appear without any faction delineation; an ordinary criminal on a task no different than the smugglers and bandits that raided Kessel. He was standing outside the entrance of the mine, cigarra lit in his mouth while his helmet cupped in the crook of his right arm.

Subtle glances towards his watch as he kept an eye out for the time, while in the corner of his vision he set his glance on the Overseer. The men had never met before and were not likely to identify each other. A moment's glance before
Arsenio shifted his attention back onto the slaves working in the mines.

Kalanda secured the helmet of her armor, listening to the distinct 'pop' sound it made as it locked into place. She wasn't exactly thrilled to be with Jay again, not after their last mission; he still hadn't forgiven her for killing that dying pilot, of all things to hold a grudge over. "You're the one who should keep his head down." Kalanda stated, standing as the other two members of her team landed on the surface. Securing the saber and blaster to herself, she joined the two men on the surface, as whatever the hell Jay was thinking had brought them here. "I doubt this is going to go like you think it will. I remember how the last deal you talked about ended up." She commented, keeping her senses alert for any spoil sports that dared show themselves. She gripped her hands, feeling the chill of the barren world claw at her armored form, as her senses reached into the mine and the surrounding area. She didn't like this one bit, what what was she supposed to do? She was the one who agreed to all this.

There were many reasons for Teran Atrix to come to the planet of Kessel, but most of them weren't pleasant. Seeing the horrible lives of slavery that were lived by so many of the people here made Teran's stomach churn, which was one of the reasons he'd decided to come here: to help the slaves who had been agonizing under the hardships of cruelty. The Jedi had used his medical skills to disguise himself among relief workers who had somehow managed to convince the guards to allow them to provide medical care to the slaves of the world.

It had been a difficult week as the darkness and cruelty of this world seemed to press in on him from every side. It had been an intentional exercise in self restraint as he struggled to maintain his own balance while surrounded by the many evils of this world. But Teran's decision to come here also carried with it the ability to scout the area out in the hopes of coming back and helping free some of these poor prisoners.

Little did Teran expect that Sith would appear on this Mandalorian held world. Not that he realized the Sith were here yet. As Teran bent over the broken leg of a Pantoran slave, Teran felt a dark chill crawl up the back of his neck. Pinpointing who or whatever was causing it wouldn't be easy, but then, that meant that the likelihood that he would be identified was slim as well.

I'm gonna take a break, he said to one of the fellow clinic workers as he headed out through the hallways from the improvised clinic. His lightsaber and any other identifying marks were already hidden (no point in advertising yourself when you're undercover), and none of his other equipment would draw attention on a world of criminals, so that wouldn't draw attention.

Each step he took through the area was careful but designed to blend in with everyone else. An outright fight wasn't what he was looking for if there was a fight at all. Caution was his friend until he knew what he was dealing with.

⌬ THEME ⌬

Kessel had long been a known place of slavery. Brent liked his fair share of coaxiun fueled joy rides and casual recreational spice just as much as he next guy. But he did not stand for slavery. His vices were not worth the price of people spending their lives in bondage.

For now he stood off to the side as Teran took a break. The two of them had come to at least just help with the slaves being worked to death. They did not exactly get healthcare here. His hand was balled into a fast. The medical gloves he had on had some blood on them from working on an injured person earlier.

Lowering crossed arms he pealed off the gloves and threw them in the trash bin. He was just wearing his normal street clothes though there were some hidden protection in the same places as his armor though. Small profile but still reliable. To the casual observer he would just look like a particularly handsome volunteer for these people.

Deep down he knew that his fellow Knight wanted to free everyone here. But Brent was not so quixotic to think that he would try to rally everyone here and now. There would be severe repercussions for the faction as a whole. They had to be smart about this to bring peace to these poor souls.

Of course Sumas would be picked to babysit a planet. He was a fighter! Not a guard. Regardless, some rumors were that there would be Sith on Kessel so that's where he was. Though he was no fool. He knew they would not be stupid enough to walk around in their usual armour or robes. He had to keep an eye out.

He wandered the area, keeping a low profile between people. His armour also wasn't that conspicuous, not when there were a bunch of other Mandalorians here and there as well. He moved around, keeping his eye out. A freighter touched down not too far away, catching his eye. The one person disembarking looked like a normal spacer...his girlfriend, however, didn't. Her outfit screamed "OI SITH HERE!". He actually face-palmed for her part. The smuggler then launched a drone into the air to probably keep an eye out. He was on the move again, sticking to the crowds to stay hidden while keeping an eye on the Sith and her friend. From the side he saw two medics exit their little improvised hospital. One looked fairly average, while the other one had a bit of a groove to him. As if he thought he was a particularly handsome medic...he didn't look like much in the Zabrak's opinion. He figured the Sith would have more than simply two people, but with no sight on any more he figured to just be careful.

His hands were on his pistols as he followed after the two at about 40 meters, his rifle beside his jetpack in case he needed it. He made sure to keep an open mind to try and hide from the Sith, while he kept to hiding behind beings to stay out of the drone's sight.

"Thank you bubba". The piping hot coffee had foam with a nice steady steaming cloud exiting from its top as the dark slave boy handed it towards Arsenio. Taking the coffee in his right hand, he sipped on it slowly, feeling the sting from the heat ever so slightly on the tip of his tongue as his eyes continued to scan the scene in front of him. He appeared relaxed in his loose fitted Ruffian clothes, sure he had weapons on him but so did numerous other slavers and spice runners. In fact, out of those that were present, he probably fit in the most inconspicuously. From the corner of his vision, he momentarily glanced at the two Jedi that appeared to be medics as they exited from the health tents and towards the greater masses of people, still a good 25 meters away from him. Eyes flickered to the right, capturing sight of a more menacing individual; Sumas would have done a good job of hiding if he weren't pacing with his hands on his pistols as well as the glaring blaster rifle mounted near his jetpack.

Arsenio brought his free left hand upwards, scratching an itch on his chest as he continued to sip on the coffee. He appeared as if he was caught in his own thoughts but in fact the agent was simply observing his surroundings. At this time, Sumas had just passed him by, Arsenio's location about 5-6 meters behind the Mandalorian. As the agent watched the Zabrak, two midget men slowly came up near his position. They carried two suitcases and without saying a single word, just simply dropped them on the ground besides Arsenio's feet.

Kalanda turned her head, as she felt a shift behind their little group as if something disturbed the area. It made her raise an eyebrow behind the set of armor she wore, as something was trailing them, or maybe she was just being paranoid. This Aresenio fellow was rather weird too now that she was thinking about it. She didn't like the whole slave thing, but it was an ugly reality that wasn't going away any time soon. Eyes front, somethings up. She sent a small warning towards her fellow Sith, as she was certain someone was trying to trail them, almost like they were trying to hide but really bad at it. She might not have been on such high alert if not for the fact this was Mandalorian territory. Aresenio had gotten coffee (somehow) from a slave boy, and stopped, seeming to want to take up the rear, not that she minded. She put seven feet between herself and Jay, with her hand not staying too far from where she had concealed her lightsaber under the silly skirt they made all the troopers wear. She'd removed the Sith emblems with some of her lingering sewing skills, but now she realized that just because you throw some point over an old ship, didn't make it brand new. She continued on, her senses on alert for the lack of negativity within the near by areas; after all, those who were lacking in such emotions were probably the ones here to stop them.

Maybe she was paranoid, just a little. Experience had shown her that shit hit the fan in moments like this, they were in the belly of the beast after all. Then she had a thought, why the hell was she doing this anyways? She diverted her course, having no intention on ending up stuck here. Jay was going to have to manage this on his own time. /exit thread

He had caught wind of another Mandalorian who had been sent to the planet Kessel and although he had no interest in the planet itself, the still young member of Clan Ordo did think he ought to stretch hit legs. It'd been a while since he had been out in the field, but his time working for the Cartels meant that he was certainly not any less sharp.

Only trouble was... before he had a chance to touch base with the man and let him know he was coming along for the ride, it appeared that they'd bounced. "Never. Mind." He thought to himself, making his way to his own ship. He'd shortly be on his way. That wasn't before he would hang up his helmet, get himself a nice hot brew and make himself comfortable in his pilot seat. His ship wasn't anything special, but Viladous liked to make his trip as comfortable as possible.

The trip would go smoothly, and as he punched his way out of hyperspace he made spun up the information regarding landing co-ordinates of the man he aimed to join upon the surface. After a brief moment of transferring his details to the relevant authorities at the space port, his ship entered the atmosphere and hurtled towards the desired location.

Before he departed his ship, he clipped a hooded cloak to his pauldrons the clicking indicating that it was fastened in place. He did a couple of safety checks on his pistols, then again on his rifle, the latter slung on his back and the former slid comfortably in their holsters, clips loosely fastened so as to make their drawing faster if the situation required. Lastly, he slid his Beskad into its sheath and was ready to go.

"Lets go find our friend" he said to himself out loud. Removing his helmet from its stand as the ramp to his ship lowered. The click of the helmet married up to the clunk of the ramp as if Viladous had rehearsed it. He would remain vigilant as he joined the packed streets. The man he was looking for was a Zabrak, a man he knew only by name rather than ever personally meeting him. Sumas of Clan Solus.

Kessel, not a place many people wanted to be. For Cardinal however, he felt right at home. This was where the real money-making experience was at. Slaves, Spice and Gas. Cardinal dealt with Spice and gas, but not slaves. He didn't have good feelings buying or selling slaves. Cardinal had been on Kessel for the past three days, meeting with his spice contacts. He hadn't come alone of course. Kessel was a sketchy place, sometimes even more so than Nar Shadda, so he had brought several guards along with him.

Ships had been coming and going all day. One though had caught his attention. A Nerf Class freighter just landed. Those ships were common enough, but it reminded him of his old pal, Jay, from the Empire. He doubted his friend and contact from the Empire was here, but judging the missions Jay did, it was always a possibility. Cardinal motioned for his men to follow him as they made their way to the ship. Cardinal sure hoped it was Jay, they had lots to talk about. To anyone watching Cardinal they would assume he was some businessman or gang leader, and that was the way Cardinal wanted people to see him, a independent player in the war of factions. Inside his suit, concealed his saber. He carried a NEWDA that concealed his blaster, and carried another blaster on his hip. His men had standard equipment, chest armor under their cloths and they carried vibroblades and blasters. There were six guards with Cardinal. They made their way to the platform.

Jay was confused when he spotted Cardinal. What even was he doing on this planet, explicitly at the mine they attended? This couldn't be a confidence, someone must had leaked information. This matter must be looked into later. Now, he had one way to find out, through speaking with the crime-lord.

"Cardinal? I never knew you had spice interests here, what a coincidence! I was going to chit-chat with the folks here, join me?"

Minutes ago Jay ordered his BZ-85 reconnaissance droid to report if they're being tailed. On the deserted land, at a spice mine with only a handful of people around, Sumas Solus, weapon on hand, forty meters behind followed.

"We are not alone," he whispered. "Contact at five."

Jay turned to the side and crossed his arms, taking a hold of his blaster. He walked Cardinal toward Solus to get a bit closer. Then Jay glared over his shoulder to spot the man, before he rapidly drew his "Quickdraw" Blaster Pistol and pointed it at Solus's general direction.

"Hands up or I'm going to shoot you! Do you understand?!"

Teran kept walking on past the individuals gathered already, neither group seeming to pay attention to the other. Despite Teran's alertness, there was no way to identify them outright. At least... not at the moment. But the feeling had been recent, and only so many ships had arrived recently, which gave him an idea.

Walking casually over toward the recently docked ships, he never quite made it there. Maybe thirty yards away, someone was now shouting and waving a gun... at a Mandalorian. Oh, that was a good idea. Being the "civilian" that he was, Teran dropped low and slid behind a nearby waist-high wall, just aiming to not be in the line of fire if this started up.

His pistol was out in one smooth motion, but his lightsaber was still hidden away for the moment. He wasn't going to take the first shot, but civilians began scattering to their own cover. The man waving the gun was as likely to be shot by random people just for that than anything. And there were plenty of random people on this world with guns.

Sumas had followed behind them for a bit, observing them. The range grew to 40 meters between them by the time Sumas was made by the Imperials. The Sith had left but in her place came a rather interesting individual. A mafia boss by the look of it. As he watched, it seemed that the undercover agent knew the man.

He kept his distance, but he quickly noticed when he was spotted by the agent. The agent reached for his blaster and started to close the distance to be able to use his Quickdraw, something Sumas' Strills didn't need to worry about. He drew both his pistols and shot a bolt from each simultaneously at the agent's center mass while he was still trying to close the distance, intent on knocking his backside to the ground. Not sticking to one spot, he jumped to one side to get behind cover. His jetpack, in combat mode, launched him quickly behind some crates, making sure he was out of the range from the agent's Quickdraw. As he flew he switched to his rifle for some extra firepower.

He checked his area as best he could, but so far the only people he saw as a threat was the agent and his buddy.

In the distance, there was a feint shouting and commotion and in his wildest dreams Viladous couldn't have imagined it to be associated to the Clan Solus member he was trying to find amidst this crowd. "What's going on?" He said to a civilian as they dashed passed him, ignoring his question. "What's going on?" He said again, a slight anger in his tone now but again the question was ignored by another passing civilian. "WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?" He yelled, this time grabbing a passing civilian by the throat, the material of his gauntlet making a noise as he pulled the human man towards his mask and tightened his grip. He was by no means strong enough to simply lift a man off the floor with one arm, but he brought the man up on his tip toes with relative ease.

"There is a gunfight about to break out down the road. I don't know who the hell is involved but someone said it was some Zabrak Mandalorian fella who has fired the first shots." The civilian man's voice crackled in fear as he struggled for air and to get his words out. Never the less, by the time he had finished his sentence Viladous had already released him and began heading down the road in his regular blarsay fashion.

"What the heck has this guy got himself into... Oh well." Viladous said out loud to himself, unclipping the buttons of his holsters and drawing for the rifle slung on his back. He was still a fair way away from his Mandalorian friend, and was comfortably out of sight of all those currently engaged with each other. He would move slowly down the street that was rapidly clearing, observing his arcs left, right and straight ahead. Occasionally he'd turn around to check if anyone was sneaking up behind him, remaining alert at all times.

Surprisingly enough, Jay was indeed here. Cardinal approaches him and smiled, “How are you buddy?” Cardinal nodded to Jay acknowledging the presence of an enemy. He didn’t turn to face the person, that would make him. Instead Cardinal rested his hand on his holster. His men understood something was happening so they kept their eyes peeled.

Cardinal and Jay walked nearer to the target. Cardinal didn’t know wether to attack or stay. So far the man hadn’t done anything wrong. All of a sudden, Jay withdrew his QuickDraw. It was over at that point every guard in the vincinity would be on top of them. “What the Leif! Dude there’s too many people let’s just leave.” Cardinal didn’t like the odds but he had to back up his pal. He withdrew his own blaster, not using his saber for now. He didn’t want anyone to think he was a Sith especially to a Mandalorians. Not like he was a Sith anyways.

The mando shot first. They always did. Thankfully it wasn’t directed at Cardinal though he probably knew Cardinal was an ally of the agent which would also make him a target. A crowd began to form. Cardinal ran, blaster in hand, and hid behind a wall behind Jay and Sumas. He took out a smoke grenade, and tossed it into the center of the battle. Hopefully it would cause the crowd to move and distract Sumas.

Luckily the recon droid seemed to had warned Jayscreec just in time. He had that pistol on him that he could always pull quickly, otherwise he might just be dead already. As soon as Sumas Solus also reached for his weapon, Jay fired his pistol at the Mandalorian. He slightly stepped to the right and crouched down, like a reflex, to become a smaller target.

Who was around? Jay saw in the corner of his eye that many of the scattered people were watching. What could they think of him, he wondered. Dressed like another criminal, fighting a presumably local at the space mine. He looked either as bad as the slave-keepers, or those who believed easily could think he came to save them.

Neither of them were right.

"Run Cardinal!"

The smoke grenade in Jay's view was perfect. That crime-lord, - he sometimes despised so much, - grew a lot in his eyes. Maybe this time he saved him. The situation seemed too much at first glance, something that might not turn out as good as he expected. Overwhelmed by this feeling Jay decided to run.

"To the ship!"

He pulled his head down and kicked the dust, sprinting as fast as he ever could to get out of here.

Teran had been nearly to the Sith ship when he took cover, which meant that in order to make their way back to the ship, the Sith and crime boss would have had to fight their way through the Jedi Knight. Luckily for them, Teran was less interested in keeping them here on the world, and more interested in ending this fight.

Instead of targeting the retreating Sith (@Ediwa), he began to move to his own left and pushing forward toward the flank of the crime lord. If the man decided to stay and slug it out with the Mandalorian, he would quickly find himself outnumbered. Teran had yet to send any shots downrange since the target was in cover and Teran didn't want to give away his own position yet for no reason. Plus, the Mandalorian seemed to be doing just fine.

Unfortunately for the gangster and his imperial friend, escaping wouldn't be that easy for them.

The agent was still approaching, not the smartest move. He fired as Sumas did, though his shots would do little more than scratch the paint on his armour as he was out of range. Luckily for the agent, his step to the right saved his life. One shot missed, but one still collided with his side. The damage would be bad, possibly life-threatening, but nothing a med-pack couldn't fix up. Though it didn't do much in the way of stopping him as he ran like a bat out of hell to get to his ship. @Ediwa

The gangster ran for a better position. Sumas took aim with his rifle and fired a single burst towards the gangster's center mass as he tried to run for cover, leading his target beautifully. The shots would also interrupt him from throwing his smoke grenade. If he persisted with his current course, Sumas' shots would also slam into his chest and likely cause the same fate his friend is suffering. @Brick

Off to the side, Sumas caught eye of the medics. One was standing like a lost lamb in the middle of the field. The other took cover and drew a pistol. Very interesting. Didn't medics have that "hippopotamus oath" or something like that? Either way, as long as he was on Sumas' side he was happy. @Phoenix @Darasaurus

OOC: Autohit on Jay since he failed to move out of the way of Sumas' shots.

Viladous had continued making his way through the streets that had cleared by now. He hadn't yet been able to make contact with his Mandalorian Comrade - Something that was almost certainly going to change. Although he had been able to hear the sound of several blaster shots being fired, he had struggled to pin their position. A combination of busy streets, screaming civilians and line of sight meant that he had been moving blind.

He had been moving with caution but he caught sight of the site of the battle. He moved towards the end of the street where he found himself at a T junction. Two his rear was the long lengthy street that he had patrolled down, to his front was a solid line of buildings and to his left was a street leading god knows where. The battle however was down to his right and pressing his back up against the wall he took a quick peak round. "Who are you I wonder?" Viladous thought to himself, his eyes picking out the figure of an unknown man rapidly approaching before a set of well timed and aimed blaster bolts rendered the mysterious stranger badly injured.

Viladous could not see if the target was unconscious, but he ducked around the corner anyway. Drawing his Beskad he waited to swing at the mans Center of mass as he ran into the opening of the T junction. He would use the flat edge of the blade however, hoping that the combination of the blunt trauma and the injury they had already sustained would render the target unconscious long enough for Viladous to tie them up. The man would have to have a 6th sense in order to know that Viladous was there, his peak around the corner being subtle and swift almost certainly covered by the injury the man had sustained during.

"Those blaster bolts must of been from Sumas" he thought as he waited. "No one else can shoot that well" he smirked, focusing on capturing this Empire swine so that he could question him.

Brent new people. He knew how to push their buttons, how to make them laugh, that was his whole deal even though usually he just annoyed the crap out of people. What he would notice was some strange rather annoying presence of some dapper dressed individual. It was just painful to look at and made him not really want to stare at the gaudy presence. If the sight of @Cardinal Paroaria was a scent it would be an abrasive cologne. It just rubbed Brent the wrong way, almost like he was in a story with lines of narration that were too bright to stare at. He looked like a monkey in a suit.

The Drast just watched the people around the camp as he reached to get another thing of Rev-all for an injured slave. He looked down, sorting through the tools to only look up and see a series of surprises. The Jedi Knight must have been deep in thought because everything happened quickly and Brent could only manage a genuine look of surprise.

When he finally stopped being a bystander the Jedi pulled his DH-7 blaster pistol set to stun and pulled an inactive lightsaber hilt from his NEWDA. Teran was already ahead of him and closer to the action. If for nothing else he had to make sure to get Teran's back. His left hand began to built up the force in the event he needed to just force push some of the haphazard placed boxes out of the way or better yet, a person. But for now his path was clear.

Well, at least Brent was good at cardio because he ran as fast as he could to catch up with his buddy. He fired towards Jay all the while keep the obvious hostile at bay or risk getting clotheslines by a stun bolt. This was dumb. It was very dumb. But maybe it would work. Brent was one step away from yelling as he ran but thankfully he had that much composure in this sudden turn of events.
