Fuel the Fire

[Mad Dog]

One hour before.

The Alecto sat dark and quiet in the abyss of space near the end of the Corellian Trade Spire.

Kae'Tl's ship was the first to arrive.

Kae'Tl sent hails over the Protectorate's secure encrypted line,"Anybody out there?" Her hail also sounding over her on-board comms.

The endless space surrounding the ship, only the light of the far off stars to lightly illuminate the horizons, her target a CZ-PCT01 PriceCorp Tanker 01 was scheduled to arrive shortly.

24 hour posting period until skips.

Finally, a mission. Five years, and all Xel had done for the Protectorate was transport goods. Though the mission was simple enough, it was easier said than done. It was good to get out and about for once though. Xel heard the voice of Kae'Tl from his intercom and smiled. At least someone was there already. He responded through his ship's com link. "Xel reporting in. Just a few parsecs and I'll be there."

Xel finally exited hyper space and stopped his enormous frieghter the left of Kae'Tl's ship. He reached for his FRAB blaster rifle mounted on the wall to the right and behind him. He put it on with a long strap so that it was easily carried on his back. His BP01 blaster bistol was already in his right cargo pant pocket. He had a tendency to always keep it there. He spoke through the secure network once more. "And it seems we're the only ones here."

"Welcome to the party!" Kae'Tl sent back,"The tanker should be here soon.." she finished, she'd known Xel for several years since they met in a cantina, that Kae'Tl later demolished, and was glad he'd arrived.

Kae'Tl looked to her crew, they were ready, as always. They were all tending to their pre-boarding routines. Dax cleaning his blasters and making sure they were ready. Kae'Tl's daughter had been seated right in front of her on the floor, at only four years old maintaining her attention long enough for Kae'Tl to braid the long silver hair sprouting from her head.

"Xel, how would you like to proceed? They're likely to be unescorted due to our intel, so should be a relatively simple board." she called into her comms as she read a graphic book over her daughter's shoulder.

Wile pulled out of Hyperspace alongside his fellow Protectorate members, "Sorry i'm late", Wile said into the ship comlink. Wile pulled his N-51 up alongside the other Protectorate Ships, "Can I get an update on the tankers location?". As he sat idle waiting for a response, Wile gathered his things; preparing to board the tanker once it arrived. Wile adjusted the Lightsaber on his hip and checked he had sufficient rounds for his Thunderbuster. As he settled back into his chair, Wile toyed with his Lightsaber, waiting for a response.

Xel leaned back in his chair and sat straight once more. Right, that blaster is on my back. Think Xel, come on. He shook his head a little and heard the voice of another Protectorate member through his intercom. Wile. Xel hadn't ever really had much contact with Wile, but he was feeling jeaulous that of the three here, Xel was the only one who lacked a lightsaber. He responded to Wile almost immediately. "I only just got here, no need to say sorry. The tanker should be here soon enough, Kae'Tl should have the specifics."

Xel moved his frieghter in front of Kae'Tl, but still the on her left so he would not get into anyone's way. Except for the tanker's. He spoke once more into the com link, not talking to anyone in particular. "I can create a small blockade so you two can board. Once they notice you two, I'll board as well."

Xel was thoroughly pleased with his plan. He hoped the tanker they were targeting had little to no armaments, for he would like his ship to stay in good condition.

Kae'Tl welcomed Wile to the scene, thinking back to when she had met him and how the two had almost locked sabers.

"As far as we know, The tanker shouldn't be escorted also the tanker comes standard with zero armaments so it likely we could finish this without any shots fired, if you want to of course.." Kae'Tl informed her team.

Kae'Tl Sat upright in her massive throne-like captain's chair, her daughter's hair still filling her hands as Kae'Tl continued to braid it,"Xel, excellent plan. The tanker should be here relatively soon, provided its on schedule. Wile would you like to board first? Xel can hold a block while I do a quick sweep for an escort?"

"I'm more then happy to board first" Wile said into the comlink. Wile drew his ship back about 100 metres, before speaking into the comlink again, "I'll hang back until it arrives, keep me updated on any changes to the plan". Wile reclined in his seat, keeping a watchful eye on the vast mass of space flooding the outside of his window.

Wile was happy with the plan they had hatched, as long as there were no casualties on their side, this was an easy claim for the Protectorate.

Xel opened up a holgraphic galactic map that had been stored in the small cupboar like space the the top right of the command station in his ship. He set himself insinde of the hyperspace lane that cut through the whole galaxy and hoped that tanker was the only thing coming out as far as they were. As soon as their target got close, they would realise that there was something blocking their path. They would stop and the plan would fully commence. Now all there was to do was wait for the tanker.

A thought ran through Xel's mind as he sat in his captain's chair, staring at the few specs in space where there were stars and far off galaxies. He put his thoughts into words through the Protectorate's com channel. "How are we going to move that tanker once we get a hold of it? Tow cables? Tractor beams?"

 

[Mad Dog]

"In the event we cannot ' persuade ' the existing crew, an option is to dock Wile's Nova inside your massive freighter, then have him pilot the tanker alongside my army of astromechs. I picked up quite a few of them back on Eriadu. That'd be quicker than towing." She said,"I can also spare a crew member." She added, Dax giving her a look.

A few minutes later a beep came from the sensor array,"Capt'n, she's on the radar." Dax's low voice grumbled.

"She's early.." Kae'Tl called over the comms,"Eyes up for support ships." She called to her crew.

The tanker loomed over Wile, it was a bulk of a ship; and just what they Protectorate needed. "Kae'Tl, our special guest has arrived, how should we handle this?" Wile said into the comlink.

Wile circled the ship, waiting Kae'Tl to respond, ideally he would shoot the Tanker and incapacitate it, but the protectorate sometimes operated in ways that differed from his own.

Xel ran over the other part of their plan through his mind when Kae'Tl said it. That should work out fine. He was not sure that anyone aboard that ship would want to join the Protectorate when their ship is getting hijacked by them, but you never know. Xel replied to Kae'Tl hrough the com link. "Copy that. Give me the signal and I'll pop open my hangar."

Xel eyes darted around the tanker when it broke out of hyperspace and slowed down because if the large tanker in its way. Xel saw no escorts, but he didn't doubt there could be a few on a ship of that size.

Kae'Tl sent a hail to the tanker,"You've entered restricted space, under the authority of The Kjlljk Protectorate, cease movement and prepare to be boarded.." Kae'Tl said over the hail hoping it would work, Wile and Xel's ships were included in the hail, allowing them to hear what she was saying.

After a few moments the slowing ship came to a complete halt.

Kae'Tl spoke into the encrypted Protectorate comm link,"Wile I think we're good, I'll board shortly after you, do not hesitate to defend yourself, we can always repair the ship back on Terminus.." she spoke softly into the comm as if there was anyway possible the tanker could hear them. Kae'Tl shifted the Alecto closer to the tanker, her guns stilled primed and missiles at the ready, in case any unwanted visitors fell out of hyperspace.

The tanker opened a landing hatch, it seems that the Tanker had given up without a fight, at least on the exterior. As Wile hopped off his ship, a blaster bolt signaled his way. Looking at its point of origin, he could see two crew members hiding behind some crates, blasters at the ready. "They're aggressive, keep it on mind when you board". Wile spoke into the comlink.

Wile sprinted over towards the crew members, he kicked one backwards before firing two rounds of his Thunderbuster into its chest. As the other crew member tried to scramble away, Wile pulled his lightsaber from his waist, and pierced the Trandoshan through the back of its thick hide; watching the body crumble to the floor. Sheathing his weapons, Wile spoke into the comlink once more, "Its safe to land, just be aware that the crew aren't so happy we're here". Wile put the comlink back in his back, and headed down a nearby hallway.

Xel was not surprised when the tanker allowed for Wile's fighter to board, and when here was resistence on the inside. But no matter who they were, they would likely all die or surrender to the might of a lightsaber, and more Protectorate members if needed. Xel pushed his ship just a bit closer to the tanker so that there was only about a small building's distance between them. He wanted everything to be easy for Wile once he docked his fighter in Xel's hangar.

"They're aggressive, keep it on mind when you board" Wile's voice called over the comms, Kae'Tl had no doubts of Wile's ability to handle whatever resistance was on board, after all it couldn't be much more than seven or eight hostiles at the most right?

After allowing more than enough time for any possible escort to drop out of hyperspace, Kae'Tl pulled the Alecto up next to the Tanker and secured the mag-locks for boarding.

Lasers flew from behind cover as Dax the four armed Basilisk dual wielding a pair of XPC-71 Particle Blaster Rifles pumped round after round, mostly as cover fire, into the "enemy" tanker. Anna the ships dedicated missile gunner and ground force sniper resorting to a pair of CMBP-12's took cover quickly waiting for the dust to settle before joining in with the skirmish. Sinya, a Twi'Lek, and the crews main assault "trooper" took her place next to a crate brandishing her CZ CMP2.

A little ways behind the Alecto's vanguard stood Kae'Tl the only one in the group not wearing armor or brandishing a firearm, but instead holding a single lightsaber, that was not yet activated, in her right hand,"Wile, we're on board." She spoke calmly into her comm.

After a moment, she activated the saber and a beautiful red glow filled the boarding area, a dark core red lightsaber in her hand."Let's go." she whispered to herself.

On board the tanker a solitary scream could be heard over the blaster fire,"It's the Sith!" although incorrect, the voice was clearly filled with a misinformed but still fitting fear.

Kae'Tl walked into the tanker, she could tell only three, maybe four, of the crew were fighting back here. A blaster bolt flew towards her, her lightsaber whirrling around to send it back up its trajectory catching it's sending just below the jaw, his body falling limp to the floor. A few more blaster bolts were fired about the area, at nowhere in particular, as the operators of the blaster began blind firing from behind crates and walls.

Once more a bolt made its way toward Kae'Tl her saber perfectly copying its previous move, however this time the bolt simply dissipated. "They have particle blasters..." She called over the comms as she launched herself into the air landing directly behind a wall one of the blasters was sticking out of, her second lightsaber flying from under her waste cape and landing in her hand. Only a half moment later she activated it facing the wall moving the blade in a circular motion until the blaster fire stopped.

Dax had put more than a few holes in another combatant in the loading area, leaving just one man, a human, who dropped his blaster and sunk to his knees,"P... Please don't kill me!" He cried as Kae'Tl approached him both sabers drawn.

Kae'Tl had her crew restrain the surrendered man, and as a group made their way to the helm of the ship.

Walking through the dark hallways of the ship, Kae'Tl noticed the ship appeared to have survived several fights in its interior, blaster fire appeared to have scorched many spots along the hallways, broken pieces of doors and lighting laid scattered on the floors,"She was stolen recently then?" Kae'Tl said to her crew mostly looking at the man that was being dragged along,"What'd you do with the old crew?" She asked the man.

After a lot of stuttering he replied,"We spaced them out the air-lock..." He said, obviously wondering what punishment would be levied on him by the Protectorate for his actions.

The group arrived at the blast door to the helm, it was locked..

"How many more of you are there?" She said angrily at the restrained man, then proceeded to pound on the door with her fist, the force causing the door to rumble beneath her fists,"Open up!" Kae'Tl yelled,"...And we won't kill you..." She added less loud.

OOC: ... I wonder if Levi is okay, it's been a while...

Xel sat in his little chair, completely unaware of what was happening inside the tanker in front of him. He had faith that anything going on would be handled easily. All he had to do was wait. Luckily he was good at that. Xel had several past experiences with hiding and waiting being a key part of survival. He wasn't exactly hiding in this scenario though, just waiting for his time to shine. Which was merely opening and then closing his own cargo bay door. It was fine with him, not too much riding on his shoulders.

OOC: Hopefully he's just busy.

Kae'Tl hit the door several more times,"Open it, now!" She yelled through the door.

"Roy, just surrender they've killed everyone else!" The man being held added.

After a moment the door unlocked and Kae'Tl pushed it open to reveal a single human who was back stepping with his hands up,"P...Please don't hurt me...." He whined.

Kae'Tl sighed,"You're under arrest." Some words she was sure he wasn't expecting. One of Kae'Tl's crew escorted the men back to her ship to be detained, after they were both cuffed.

Kae'Tl checked the status of the ship's systems. Since they hadn't needed to fire on the ship, Everything was in excellent condition.

"Xel." She called over her comm,"We're gonna need to tow this beast back to base." She said as she took hold of the tankers controls and angled it towards Xel's ship.

"On it. This is gonna be one hell of ride there... It'll take ages to move my ship, along with a towed on tanker, back to Terminus... My ship is slow enough as is."

Xel sat up in his chair and depolyed his tow cables. Once they were secured onto the tanker he reported that back to Kae'Tl. He also asked if eveything was ready to go as he checked whether or not he was clear the make the jump to hyperspace.
