Guin couldn't help but wonder in a humourous way if Kalique had training as an actress owing to how well she played the part. But it wasn't the agent that they had to sell it for, but rather the lofty lord himself.

Tryst was menacing in silence, for whom everything would not be enough to sate his pursuit. For the entire time, he had thought well of Kalique but such consideration ceased once she spoke her views of the force. Suddenly his face paled, rage buried beneath the surface pooled and whirled, contained within a frenzy and moderated by a lifetime of experience.

And just like that, the calmness in his face returned. A cold and calculated voice broke the ice once more causing unease and concern to all those who heard it. "Spoken like someone afraid of themselves, my dear." His eyes glared intently, staring into her mind and soul with calculated malice, a wicked smile embraced.

"You've been glancing at that stone far too much for someone who claims to know so little." Perhaps she would disagree, perhaps not but it didn't matter one bit.

At last, Guin had cracked the firewall and subtly made her way into the lord's file system on her handheld device. Taking extra care to remain undetected, both electronically and in the room. Slicing through the directories she groaned internally. Really, what's with guys and taking those ugh. Continuing onwards, she made her way into some folders recently created. The contents didn't really make a whole lot of sense to the agent, purchases of strange and weird things, travel documents, and the like.

Guin knew that Kali would sense her thoughts, even if she was quite busy with him at the moment. Her heart dropped when she found a folder named the Experiment.

The lord cocked his head to the side softly, studying her response before making her an offer she couldn't refuse. "I would like to offer you a job, I'll pay you whatever you wish, but you must complete the job no questions asked." A thick emphasis on the latter reinforced how he expected her to answer, his hands hidden under the table.

The agent's face paled as the blood evaporated from her face at what she had just seen, her heart rate spiked, thinking only one thing. It's a trap. Images and images of bodybags in thumbnails under the subfolder 'force sensitivity trials' filled her mind, the horrible thoughts and panic set in. Guin's training barely held her together externally, without realizing just how dutifully she had been clutching her Nautolan.

While the dear Lord's facial expressions were incredibly hard to read, something about her reply seemed to trigger him immensely. While she would have loved to just narrow her eyes, Kalique obviously flinched as if afraid of him lashing out while she was actually more than ready to pounce.

However, he instantly relaxed and what remained was this cold, indecipherable version of the older man who didn't make any sense in her mind. Who the kriff was he and what did he want. Also, what did he even know and how would it serve them? He suddenly pointed out that her curiosity was suspicions and just like that decided to place her into a certain category.

Did he sense that she was coiling the Force around herself? Was he aware of the mental link she established between Guin and her? Now her eyes did narrow as her posture relaxed the slightest bit. Maybe she needed to deal with him right away after all. For now though, she still remained patient, knowing Guin was close and that they had to be clever about this.

She did held his gaze as if having been caught at least to some extent. She then swallowed, her mind actually racing but her body unflinching. Lord Tryst continued and as he suddenly offer her a job, she did finally react after another few moments. "A...job?" she quirked a brow, pretending to be relatively surprised and curious while Guin finally made it.

The agent disclosed the details soon after and so her final response was finally settled. This man had to be defanged. She didn't witness all the horrible images Guin had to see, but she did sense what she was feeling and this was enough to finalize her decision. She reached out through the Force and located the guards without having to lift her gaze of the dangerous man in front of her.

Four guards and the Lord and either of them could, possibly, command the Force as well. She had two Civilians with her and Guin who was without a weapon, so the odds weren't good. "That...sounds tempting" she replied calmly, slowly tilting her own head as if truly enticed. She threw a glance over her shoulder, her features immediately shifting into sheer coldness as she kept this charade going before meeting his gaze again. "I might have to offer services others can't provide...". Two could play this game and her statement was at least just as alluring.

With his signature cold and calculated smile, the lord didn't waver under Kalique's allure. The seriousness in his voice held firm under the tremendous pressure to perform. Her answer would determine the fates of everyone in the room in more ways than one and likely in ways that she couldn't even fathom while she made a decision.

"Building an empire is a cliche these days, and I would hate to fall behind." His monologue continued mixing a honeyed voice dripping with icy malice. "My artifact business has been affected by an upstart working out of Taris, destroy him and claim your reward." The enticing offer would likely eclipse the total compensation Guin could ever hope to receive in her own lifetime, although Kali's family meant that credits weren't likely a large motivator for the Knight-Captain. But with the stone and Guin in the crosshairs, the lord was confident.

The agent watched as the four guards stood to watch around them, now focusing intently and hands resting gently near their holsters. The tension in the room was palpable, but Guin didn't dare say anything lest Kalique be caught distracted. But from the images that she saw, this lord was clearly something else.

Attempting to communicate with Kalique somehow, even if it was just thinking in her own mind, Guin would do so. He's evil AF Kali, I ....I saw things... she struggled with the words to describe it. He's experimenting on force sensitives and artifacts, trying to synthesize the force. Why would he do such a thing?

He continued on, perhaps a little less cryptic than before but she was still severely displeased with the shadiness of this all. At least he started disclosing what exactly it was he was trying to achieve, but she couldn't deny that as he mentioned Taris, she was even more confused.

What did he have to do with Taris and why was he even spelling it out for them like that? He had noticed she knew more about the Force than she had claimed and he had offered her a job, knowing she was Force sensitive and apperently still wanting to recruit her to even take an enemy down an enemy.

It simply didn't add up. If he was working on this artificial connection to the Force, she also assumed he himself wasn't Force sensitive, but the fact alone that he intended to conduct more of his completely messed up and sick research indicated how dangerous be was.

"A reward you say...how would this look like?" she wanted to know, even if she was more concerned about how she didn't even had a chance to say no as there were still three other uninvolved people in this room whom she needed to protect. If they knew she was involved in this, they probably knew too much already and so she assumed he didn't intend to actually let them go anyway.

Why trust her though? His motifs were hard to decipher and she felt sickened by this bastard's vile experiments already, but there were still civillan casualties that needed to be avoided at all cost. The tension in the room kept rising and she stayed overly alerted still, however actually waiting for the right moment to strike while she still hoped for more information.

The whirlwind of tension caused a caustic display of power to unveil itself as the master laid his cards on the table in a manner of speaking. As much as the man caused revulsion and disgust, taking him out wasn't a simple answer to the quickly complicating question that was unposed. It was fairly typical in tyrannical tributaries for the successor to exceed the sins of the former, and in this case, it would likely be no different.

In fact, they had already met the lord's son and heir, a monster in waiting and to slay the man before them would only set worse free from its patriarchal chains.

Would they be responsible for that?

Lord Tryst lingered in expression longer than he cared to admit, savoring the moment and the look of fearlessness in the face of certain defeat that Kalique offered. "As I said, whatever you wish for. Perhaps a promotion that you've always wanted, and deserved." With an icy tone and methodical pausing, the lord laced his words with promise and poison. "A house worthy of your deeds and comfortable enough to raise a family in absolute safety? I've always liked Serenno."

Whatever doubts she may have had about his knowledge vanished in an instant as even Guin caught on to the less-than-subtle implications of what he was presenting. He had clearly either been fed information, a leak perhaps or their names traded for something. From the comfort of his chair, the lord leaned slightly, catching the agent's gaze and scaring her with his vicious smile.

"And you must be the trusty sidekick." The facade of the charming lord dropped as he was no longer interested in playing games. Brandishing the blaster pistol from under the desk and pointing it toward Guin, his threat was absolute.

"Comply or they die."

She was deterred by everything. What he said, how he said it, what Guinevere had already discovered and all the shit he was seemingly involved with. Yes, it was tempting to simply kill him and be done with it, yet she knew she had to play along. For the Empire.

If there was a way to help uncover a terrible background story that costed them not only credits and resources, but risked getting secured artifacts into the hands of Sith, she'd definitely do whatever it took, even if that meant faking commitment to his twisted course.

There were countless questions running in her head, questions she knew she wouldn't get answers for, but she'd get at least some. He seemed to know a lot about her on a surface level, but he had no idea about her real ambitions and motives, so that was definitely an advantage.

She didn't crave a promotion, she'd earn it when it was time. Safety was surely a sweet promise, however she didn't buy anything of it, yet she'd dutifully play along. "Very well, my Lord...your offer is still tempting, so I'll accept. If you promise the rest will get out of here unscathed".

She wasn't afraid of him at all. Neither of his guards. Quite the contrary. She was ready and confident she could take them all out at once. This story seemed so convoluted but she'd pretend to be in in and attempted to gather the information she needed. If there was a mole, she was there to stop them.

She was fully on edge, aware of every subtle movement going on in the room. If any of them would draw a weapon or something, she'd know. If anyone did a wrong movement in general, she'd act on it. The tension was still climaxing and even if she had promised to comply, there was still a fair chance that while she was about to cross him, he'd cross her before that.

Full of confidence in himself, and his threats, the lord was equally impressed that she had accepted without breaking character nor revealing weakness. That was the kind of business partner he could rely on, well, so long as their interests aligned. He had no illusions that she would have no respect for him or his practice but that didn't exactly matter as far as he was concerned.

"Very good." His voice boomed in a commanding way. With a simple nod, the remaining guards lowered their weapons slightly to put the room at ease if that was at all possible. "I don't make promises, my dear." His icy tone remained, but she could tell by the softening of his facial pose that he wasn't about to do anything drastic. "So long as you complete the task, why would I need to harm them?" In that regard, it was about as good as she was going to get in lieu of a promise.

Baspa attempted to finally interject, having overcome his frozen fear. "My lord, may we take our leave?" With yet another nod, Tryst dismissed them and turned away back to the auction happenings below.

By now Guin realized just how tightly she had been clutching her Nautolan companion, who like Baspa, had mostly remained still and silent. Together as a group, they were permitted to retreat and return to the table. But if she was being honest, the rest of the night was likely to be a blur, only coming later in the night when it was time to go back to their rooms. By then, she knew that she'd have to check in on Kalique and make sure she was alright all things considered.

It was fairly obvious that the lord was more than pleased about her apperent compliance. Kalique didn't smile, sticking to her role. There were so many thoughts rushing through her head that she simply nodded. She had agreed to this charade and even if she didn't believe him, they were somewhat free to go it seemed.

Taking a breath in, she replied, "Then I guess you really want have a reason to do so". Again, the thought of just killing this influential, twisted lord ran thought her mind, but she simply knew it was unwise. They had something in hand they could investigate and it was of interest for the Empire.

She waited for him to release them and they were soon guided out. The rest of the event was nothing like a blur and it honestly mattered so little compared to what had happened behind closed doors. She felt bad for Baspa and Yukan, however was even more worried Guin was about to freak out after involuntarily having been dragged into this.

They dutifully stayed and mingled, keeping up their facades though until the event finally ended in the middle of the night. She entered her room first and quickly removed the make-up they had needed and changed into something more comfortable, before she reached out through the Force and checked whether the coast was clear.

Only after gaining clarity about how the halls were empty, she slipped out and knocked at Guin's door. 'It's me' she telepathically told her, not wanting to worry her and then waited for her to let her in before she immediately plopped down on the bed.

"What...a night. I can't believe that happened..." she didn't even know where to start as her thoughts were a little all over the place. "What do you think about all of this?".

Guinevere was quite thankful that their Nautolan dates were gentlemanly enough to escort them back to their rooms at the end of the night with no funny business. With a hug and a wave, they departed and left the women to enter their rooms separately. The agent barely got through the narrow door gap before its electronic locks engaged. She didn't realise just how much she had been operating on burnt nerves and adrenaline and now, with everything over, it all came crashing down.

A steady stream of emotional tears formed and dripped down her rosy cheeks. What a night, she thought. Filled with horrible men and delusions of grandeur and everything in between. With how everything had gone down, it had been an exhausting rollercoaster, both frightful and full of learning experiences. Wiping an arm against each cheek, she wanted to remain positive in spite of it all.

The agent thought to how far she'd come in such a relative short time, and how on their first mission she'd barely held it together. Now? She'd stared down the scariest man she'd ever met, with help of course, but she hadn't broken down or ran away! Surely that meant something, that she was doing better or improving. The self reflecting was absolutely necessary in her eyes, and perhaps she would review the recording later to get a better insight into what happened.

The knock at the door caught her by surprise, but the warm consolation offered by Kalique immediately disarmed her worry. Pulling herself up, the agent adjusted her clothes and hair for a moment before opening the door and letting in her friend and following toward the bed.

Sitting down next to her, Guin tried to broker a smile though her manifesting intrusive thoughts. "I know..." was all she could reply with initially. The worry on her face apparent, it wasn't just that, though. "I know you could handle yourself and all, but.." Guin looked away briefly and bit her lip. ".. I was worried that if a fight broke out you'd get hurt trying to keep me safe. I'd feel terrible if I was responsible for that happening."

But Guin was nothing if not mission focused, her mind solidified to the task at hand. Brushing aside another tear just under her eyelid, she looked back. "My recordings and report should be enough to get the ISB to look further into this lord, but in the meantime I want to help you in any way that I can with this new mission of yours."

The night had surely turned into something they had never expected or seen before, but after all the rollercoasters of emotions, fateful revelations, decisions, and hours of keeping up their appearances, it was time to wind down and talk.

Kalique could sense how Guin was much more agitated, obviously lacking her meditative skills. Still, she had bravely gotten through this all without faltering even if she had been faced with the terribly Lord who apperently hid much more terrible secrets than they had assumed.

Once settled on the bed, she could feel how the emotions plainly washed over her like a tidal wave, desperation setting in. Her expressions shifted quickly and suddenly she could no longer keep those emotions bottled up. She listened to her intently as she shared her worries, nodding sympathetically before she exhaled slowly.

"I know...it's been troubling" regardless of how brave and confident she was, this ahad clearly worked her, too. Still, she knew she couldn't give in to those feelings and so she was regarding it from a professional distance. She had to try making sense out of this before taking down the thug.

"You wouldn't have been responsible, Guin. It is my duty to protect you, don't forget that". She would give her life for the Empire, for soldiers, for agents, other Knights. It was a natural principle to follow. "We are fine. I still had it under control". She wasn't lying, she had felt rather confident about taking down the Lord and his gang if they had pushed her towards it...but this had been much better.

"This new mission...well. I guess we'll have to investigate for a bit while staying in contact with him somehow. He has to keep believing we're carrying out his will". She replied with an inner reluctance, however knowing they had to.

"Thank you for all your support...you have been incredible today". She added after a little moment, meeting her gaze. She wanted to ask for more details about what exactly she had seen on his data, but decided she could do it tomorrow as well. She had enough to stomach for the day. "What roles do the Nautolans play? Are they just...his employees?". She really wondered whether there wasn't more to it. "Also...where did he gather all the intel?". It had been weird he knew that much.

The emotional turmoil that she felt about the situation was somewhat comforted by the soothing words offered by her friend. She had no doubt that Kalique could protect her, having seen what the woman could do first hand on more than one occasion. But all it would have taken was one stray bolt, or one tricky surprise to catch her off guard for things to go sideways, and even the best fighter in the galaxy could be surprised sometimes.

It would be rather easy to get lost in a mission without a clear objective, but Guin suspected that the lord wouldn't just send them on a wild goose chase, if indeed he was serious about the endeavour. A small smile peered across her face to break up the inhibited signs of weariness, at her genuine compliment. "Me?" The agent often discounted her own contributions, usually happy to sit outside the limelight and let others take the credit and attention. "I suppose I did,..... but likewise, you did amazing!"

Thinking back to all the time they spent with the pair of Nautolan all of which seemed to have been rather fantastic than suspicious. Guin leaned back to fall flat on her back and stare up at the roof in thought. "I didn't find anything, yet that would paint them poorly, perhaps they were like us, caught up in the web." Scratching at her waist briefly, nothing came to mind, but Kali could do something that Guin couldn't. "Did you ever sense anything off about them?" she asked with a touch of curiosity.

The question of how he had known so much about them was also another revelation that she had been struggling with. He'd either done his homework quite well, had a mole leaking information, or had somehow bought the intel. Potentially a dirty combination, she hated the thought. "I'm not sure yet, but perhaps the mission will show us."

After all, they would likely be dealing with their own dirty laundry, so to speak. With a quiet tone, she asked, "What do you know about Taris?" She'd hate to go in completely blind and would likely do some research before they left.

With Guin's inner turmoil finally ceasing, Kalique was even more relieved about how she kept holding on so well. She was happy about the compliment, but it had been a genuine one and as she gave one back, Kalique smiled warmly. "Thanks...not gonna lie, I was very close to attacking. I really had to repress my insticts, because this situation seemed pretty dire..." she admitted, openly revealing how this had truly bothered her, too.

As for the Nautolans, she still had mixed feelings about them. They had been all perfectly courteous, but she felt bad for them. Guin might have been right. "No...there was nothing. Maybe they cloaked their presence within the Force and maybe their just cogs in Tryst's machine of messed up attempts" she shrugged, the uncertainty about them also still bothering her if she was being honest.

"So this pervert experiments with force sensitives in cruel ways? We have to do something about this for sure..." she wasn't sure how much she'd go into detail, but this was so damn bad. "Maybe...I hope we'll gain some clarity soon. I have so many questions" she sighed softly, rubbing her temples before she met Guin's gaze again.

"Not much, actually. A while ago I had to clean out the sewers as there were some thugs hiding inside. They had a force sensitive with them as well. I aided Commander Karn and I know he's stationed there. The underground is a problem and crime is all around, but I haven't stumbled upon anything Tryst related yet". They had no real leads, but it seemed like they had to visit soon enough.

Chilling in the bedroom debriefing with Kali after the tense mission was just the calming relaxation that she needed, Guin thought to herself. Whether she knew it or not, her bestie radiated an aura of confidence and charm that disarmed and waved away anxiety and fears and good thing too, because the agent often carried them.

"Perverts is right." The blonde stared at Kali for a second before bursting into laughter, having being reminded of the certain folders you never want to open when looking through their files. "For once, I'd like to slice into a hard drive without seeing such ...things" An agent could dream, causing a giggle fest again.

Rolling onto her side, Guin brushed through her hair, parting it over her ears. "The boys were pretty cute, I'll admit." But as always, work seemed to complicate things. "But I think I'd rather date someone that wasn't connected to that monster."

Taris was a whole another kettle of fish for them to deal with. "Hmm interesting." There had to be some connection that they could uncover, Guin wasn't exactly keen to replace one bad guy with another, but perhaps they'd be able to find a way to deal with both problems at once. "I'll see what I can turn up before we go, perhaps we have some old files that could be helpful."

Placing her hand on Kali's shoulder, Guin smiled. "I do hope you're okay, I know you have had a lot on your plate." The agent's compassion shining through like a beacon in a stormy night. "But you don't have to do it alone, you've got Jon, me..others."

With all the support that the knight had lent out, Guin felt it was important to offer the same in return. "And you're welcome to crash here tonight, if you want." Well, some part of that was supporting Guin too, she smiled at the thought.

"Hard drive..." she couldn't help but to repeat, bursting into laughter with her. There was no way the pun hadn't been intended and after everything that had happened tonight, it was gold to get engaged in a somewhat goofy exchange after having had climaxing tension all night long.

"It does sound like a curse though...maybe you simply cannot never not find them" she added giggling before she uncrossed her legs and leaned back as well. "Yukan watched out for you even if he was frightened...that was pretty cute to watch" she told her, a warm smile planted on her lips.

Admittedly, the circumstances under which they had met were bad, but apart from the Lord Tryst encounter, Guin seemed to have had a great time, which was nice for a change. "Yeaaah, you might have a point there". They were still working for him and that was a problem until Kalique would take care if him.

"Sounds great. You work your magic and when time is right, we'll take a look around". Kalique wasn't very hyped to keep pretending to play along, but if they could take out another big fish, they'd even win more from this in terms of the safety of the Empire.

"I'm fine" she then reassured her, giving her a warm smile and placing her hand on top of hers. "I'm glad you're fine too. And yes. For that I'm super grateful". It was always great to have people you could count on and she was still glad that their paths had crossed.

Even if she seemed much better now, the tense night had left its toll on both of them. As Guin was asking her for a spontaneous slumber party, Kalique couldn't help but to chuckle, assuming the idea was based on her own racing thoughts. "Oh sure, that sounds fun!". It was also, in fact, much safer. Tryst's men were all around and Kalique wouldn't have to keep alerted through a wall. "I'll grab my stuff and maybe we can watch something to get distracted". It was late, but winding down appropriately sounded like a great idea.

Guinevere joined Kalique in laughter at her repetition of 'hard drive', the humorous innuendo was definitely one of the highlights of the night. "Perhaps you're right, they used to tell us at the academy that knowing your targets made it easier to infiltrate." With a silly waggle of her eyebrow, she giggled. "I don't think that's entirely what they meant."

The blonde placed the toes of one foot under the heel of the other as Kali addressed the blue man in the proverbial room. "I knowww, he did give me his number, soo maybe I could text him later." Guin smiled with a hint of blush.

Their friendship was quickly becoming one that they didn't always have to verbalise, they just knew. And that if they shared something, it was truly important. Kali had mental reserves far exceeding anything that Guin could ever hope to achieve, but that didn't mean that they couldn't lean on each other for support when it was needed.

"Sure, I'll set something up!!" she responded with an excited grin. As Kali went off to gather her things for the night, Guin scurried about getting some snacks and hot chocolates ready for the pair of them on a nearby bench.

Slipping into a more comfortable pair of pyjamas, she climbed up onto the bed, awaiting the other's prompt return. "Do you wanna watch somethin spooky or funny? I'm down for either." she propositioned. If Kali chose the former, she'd let her choose something, otherwise her pick for funny would definitely be "Legalised Blonde"

Taking one of the pillows and handing it to Kali, Guin held a mischievous smile compared to earlier. "Hold this, I have a surprise for you.." The blonde turned around to grab the second pillow, before suddenly spinning around, aiming to slam the fluffy thing into her friend. "It ain't a slumber party.." she started to say, ducking the oncoming swing. "Without a pillooow fiight." Oh, this was the coolest mission ever.

And just like that, the agent was locked in an incredible goofy mood that seemed to replace all the tension and fear that had grasped her earlier. She chuckled and rolled to the side, facing Guin with an amused smirk. "You absolutely should. He might no be in his position because he wants to be there...and he seemed quite interested in you", she replied, genuine happiness written in her face because it was simply good to see the rather shy agent happy.

Kalique then rolled off the bed again before she left to gather her stuff. The hairs were already up in a messy bun and the make up removed, but she had to change in a comfortable pair of sweatshorts and a top, fold everything back into her luggage and move over, readily packed for the next day.

"I still saw some lights and heard music" she informed Guin after having been let back into her room, hinting at how this event was seemingly ongoing and filly open ended. The first official items om the agenda started early in the morning, but they didn't have to attend those anyway.

"After everything that had happened, I'm down for something funny", Kalique admitted. She was a great horror fan, but she was craving something more lighthearted right now. She placed down her belongings and rejoined her on the bed, making herself comfortable and stretching out her legs before she accepted the pillow with a raised brow.

"Oh...Kay?" assuming Guin had just spontaneously figured out how to arrange the pillows more logically to give them more space or something, she immediately directed her attention onto the wide screen before she was suddenly brutally assaulted.

Without having been prepared at all and her guard fully down, the soft cushion fully slammed into her face, making Kalique not only jump but stare at Guin in perplex disbelief. "That..." Kalique muttered speechlessly, brushing the hair out of her face and behind her ear before her lips spread into a smirk, "was a mistake". Without hesitation, the Knight-Captain now slammed in back into her friend, aiming for her mid instead of her face though. She couldn't quite tell where this playfulness came from, but it was such a silly idea that it actually helped calming her nerves.

Guin giggled with delight as her plush assault landed squarely on target, even better that Kali hadn't even seen it coming. The cheeky grin evaporated just as quickly as she saw her friend rallying for a counter-attack, for which she was not prepared. Quickly pushing the pillow in front of her head to block the incoming strike, the blonde found the pummelling whack her mid-section with a thump, sending her sprawling backwards onto the bed.

Feigning injury, Guin dramatically placed the back of her hand against her forehead and begun speaking as if upon a stage. “Death, that hath sucked the honey of thy breath, Hath had no power yet upon thy beauty.”

The seriousness of her ailment lasted all of a few seconds before bursting into laughter, the silliness of the last few seconds becoming an elixir for the weekend's troubles. It was easy to forget just how invested the pair had gotten into their work as of late and, at least for Guin, she seldom ventured off for fun without somehow finding a way to injure herself...

Shimmying across the bed, she pulled out the remote and switched on a comedy for them to enjoy. "Have you ever seen a Legalised Blonde? It's my favourite! There are snacks over there if you're hungry." Between the two of them, Guin was probably more likely to fall asleep before the movie ended, but that was alright with her. There wasn't anyone that she felt safer being around these days, and that alone would be a much-needed comfort as she drifted off to the land of nod.

Despite the strands of loose hair in her in her face, Kalique's half blind counter attack was just as vicious as Guin's first assault, but after the short, fluffy exchange, the two left it at a temporary truce. However, Kalique wasn't prepared for Guin's reaction and the dramatic, even theatrical change in her voice that almost made Kali choke.

"Who are youuu" she demanded to know, even in subtle disbelief about the sheer amount of goofiness the agent suddenly exhibited. They had surely deserved such a silly time off after the exhausting nature of their multi day mission, but now that work was done, it was truly good to just laugh it off because it definitely helped Kalique cope.

She finally caught her breath and leaned back again, finally settling down and into the fluffy pile of remaining pillows. She sank into the sheets, watching Guin choosing the movie. "Ohh my! I used to love the first movie as a teen and it was hilarious!" so Kalique was definitely excited, but she was definitely fine without snacks for now as it still felt like there was a knot in her stomach after all the struggles of today.

"I don't know-" that was when a yawn escaped her, "How much longer I'll make it, but I guess it's not any different for you" she then chuckled, already assuming her yawn would infect her friend. Regardless of whether who fell asleep first, for now they began watching for now. They had more than a solid lead and a task to continue with, so they could depart tomorrow with their mission having been a full success.
