Polar Base, Akuria
Standing near the viewport as the droid piloted the ship through final descent, Ashla felt a shiver run through her spine, though it had nothing to do with the frozen landscape they were approaching. It was the memory of their first proper meeting, all that time ago on Mygeeto. She had been a bumbling fool then, thinking she knew the way of the world, of her own place in it. He had shattered those illusions, forcing her to accept who she was, who she was meant to be. It had taken time, but she had felt herself slowly move down the path she was meant to take.
The droid beeped in warning, letting her know the ship had touched down, and taking one last look at what remained of the former Imperial base, now a small town in its own right, she turned to leave. Moving towards the ship's cargo hold, where a ramp was descending to allow them to step out, she activated her comms and sent a simple message.
"Master, we are here."
Stepping out of the ship, she took a quick survey of their surroundings, making sure there were no immediate threats before stepping aside from the ramp and waiting. She had dressed for the weather, her cloak thick and lined with fur, but under it she wore her normal armor, ready for whatever challenges might await her today. Something else she had picked up over time, always be prepared, for whatever might come your way.
