Friends, Foes, and Acquaintances on Jedha

Hi there! I'll keep this succinct. I'm in the process of making a young Jedi Guardian character (Asa) who I'll likely start out at 14 years old. I've already got a grumpy Jedi taking me under his wing, but I'm still looking for Jedi (and non Jedi) friends!

More specifically in looking for characters that Asa could've reasonably met while I training at the Jedi academy on Jedha, so it doesn't have to be younglings per say. Come to think of it, we don't really need to be friends either. All I'm looking for is to create some pre-existing connections as I believe they add depth to characters and, frankly , it's fun to have friends, foes, and anything in-between. I'm very open to connecting with indies too. Who knows, maybe Asa "borrowed" something from your shop the other day...

My character is still in my workshop at the moment and I'll update this post with a direct link once his character sheet is up.

I'm willing to throw Tarlo at a bit of a link. He is in his 30s so perhaps he helped out a little with your training or was part of the team that discovered you were a force sensitive. Just a couple of thoughts.

Yeah, sounds good! In my current character history, Asa was with the Jedi from very early on, but I could make a slight modification and have him be discovered later.

Training is definitely an option! Maybe Asa learned the finer motions of Form II from Tarlo?

Vanilla training threads don't appeal to me much, but I noticed Tarlo likes to spar verbally as well and Asa... well he's a talker. I think we could figure something out :)

Sounds like they'd get along very well. I kinda prefer the training angle myself, but you're right they can get tedious at times.

What do you have in mind? :)

Oh don't get me wrong, training threads can be made fun. I'm just not a fan of "grind-y" training threads where we get into paragraph long descriptions of how one character moved their foot an inch forward.

But, a training thread with some purpose behind it I can get into. By purpose I mean plot, some underlying story question that needs to be resolved, some tension existing between the characters. Could be a simple "want". Perhaps Asa wants Tarlo's approval because he looks up to him. Perhaps Tarlo is trying to get a confession out of Asa for some past mischief.

Now that I think about it, perhaps Asa was starting to get a bit arrogant because of his skill with a lightsaber (it is his strongest point, he's not so great with the force) and Tarlo is there to smash his pride. How does that sound to you?

Oh I really like the sound of that, and it would be right up Tarlo's ally to spread the wisdom he has learned. :)

Jedha sounds like a great idea, but do we want to start directly with training or start by bumping into each other?
