I was just curious, but is it allowed to have a Sith character serving in the Chiss Ascendancy? Since they are so closely linked to the Empire, would it not be possible for some Chiss to learn the ways of the Force, at least to a certain degree?

This is probably something best brought up with the faction leaders (Malon for Empire and Mars for Ascendancy) involved: I'm pretty sure that the Empire is allowing Chiss from the Ascendancy to join their ranks, but I'm a little iffy as to whether Sith would be allowed within Ascendancy ranks.

Unless it is to teach Chiss Force users or because it was required by the Empire, I doubt the Chiss would suffer lesser races to actually join their ranks unless they proved themselves on Chiss terms (which I doubt a typically arrogant Sith would deign to do).

Chiss are capable of being Force Sensitive, so yes, a Chiss that is in the Sith is very possible, however they need not leave the Ascendancy to get training depending on how the Treaty of Bastion goes. As far as javing a a Sith in the Chiss, I'd be hesistant as they're very xenophobic and would likely treat such an outsider as a spy sent to undermine the authority of the Imperator or some such. While non-Chiss can get into the Ascendancy, one most keep in mind that it'd be hard as hell and most Chiss wouldn't like them much even if they did make it somehow.
