Force User Only

Could I make a Jedi that only used the Force, instead of the traditional Jedi that used the Force and the lightsaber? Or would that be dumb?

Mm, I would say just make a lightsaber. You never have to use it, and you could concentrate purely on the force like you wanted, but it would make sense to have one as it is symbolic.

My ex-Ospion from last timeline was a master of Force techniques and rarely used a lightsaber. Doesn't seem weird at all.

My character is much more focused on Force powers over lightsabers on the rare occasion he would have to fight.

And beyond that, I personally think it's a great idea, and a Jedi should want to use their natural abilities over a weapon whenever possible. In my novel The Chosen One that I'm writing, that's something I'm making a point to focus on with the Jedi.

They weren't very effective in the Dark Saga series and they were darksiders.
