Hey, new members, just wanted to bring an arc called Trials of Heroes to your attention. It is an OOC tournament designed specifically for new members, to help get in the swing of PvP in a safe environment. Characters in the Brotherhood, Republic, and Jedi can sign-up. Links to the factions' respective signs are as followed: Brotherhood, Jedi, Republic.
Battle of Vontor
When the Brotherhood forged the Saleucami protectorate in bloody conquest, planets became fearful they were next. When Ques and Terman were taken during the Saleucami campaign, Vontor feared it would meet the same fate as its neighbors. In order to stave off invasion the planet bribed the Moff of Sriluur with shipments of precious kiirium. When the Brotherhood began to expand in its current campaign, the Moff blackmailed the planetary leaders into submission, holding the kiirium deposits over their heads. The populace had tolerated their new fate, though fights have broken across the planet. However, the Republic team that has assaulted the planet has sent an operative in order to steal a kiirium shipment which contains evidence of the leaders' misdeeds. If exposed, the populace could be roused into action to beat back the Brotherhood invaders. However, the Moff has sent their own champion to oversee the latest shipment of kiirium and won't go down quietly.
Republic/Jedi Objective
Defeat the Moff's representative in order to steal the kiirium shipment in the midst of the battle.
Brotherhood Objective
Defeat the infiltrator in order to secure the kiirium shipment, thus preventing the Moff's schemes from coming to light.

Battle of Xoman Three
Xoman is on its way to becoming a fully-fledged member of the Republic. The Republic build an embassy on the planet in order to begin the process of assimilation. Being one of the truly legitimate sources of Republic activity in the area, the Brotherhood has sent a War Leviathan to attack the planet. The Republic ambassador has called for Republic assistance in evacuation, though help will take hours to arrive. As the Republic contingency consolidates around the embassy, pushing back any Brotherhood assault, word has come that the royal family is making a dash for the embassy, seeking asylum now that the capital is suspected to fall to enemy hands. With the royal family, the Republic would have legitimate reasons to come back in force and attack the planet in full-force. However, an assassin sent by the Brotherhood is making its way to the royal family's cavalcade. Unfortunately the Republic forces are occupied defending the embassy, leaving the fate of a rescue up to a single brave soul.
Republic/Jedi Objective
Defeat the Brotherhood assassin in order to protect the royal family of Xoman Three and deliver them safely to the embassy.
Brotherhood Objective
Defeat the guard sent by the Republic embassy in order to have a clear shot at killing the entire royal family of Xoman Three.

Battle of Dirha
Dirha has served as a refueling station for travelers for centuries, lately serving as the last fueling destination for the Brotherhood's Death Watch allies in their pilgrimage from Geonosis. Hoping to secure the fuel for themselves and cut off Mandalorian reinforcements to Klatooine and Nimia, the Republic has made a desperate ploy to seize the planet. As the Republic invades the planet, the Brotherhood has made a counter-move, hoping to win favor of the local Hutt cartel that controls the fuel. Vodasii's Helm is the largest depot on the planet. As ships war in the sky, both sides have smuggled in a single operative into Vodasii's Helm, both seeking to seize the control room. However, only one person can grasp control over the fuel.
Objective
Defeat the enemy infiltrator in order to take over Vodasii's Helm on Dirha.

Battle of Kafane
When Nimia fell, the local militia fled to Kafane, a poor agricultural world that fed several of the nearby planets. Control of the food controls the fate of millions of neighboring populaces. The Nimian militia awaits for help sought from the Republic. However, most of the Republic presence on Kafane are transports for foodstuff. The Republic erects a planetary shield just before the arrival of an Empyreal-class Star Destroyer, giving them an advantage in their fight with the Brotherhood above the planet. The shields should be able to hold long enough to last the siege before Republic reinforcements arrive. Unfortunately, an agent of the Brotherhood was sent to the planet a week ago, spying on the agricultural food processes for weaknesses. The agent is now assaulting the primary shield generator to take out the shields. Without the shields, the Republic and Nimian forces may be forced to retreat. The surviving guard in the facility is forced to face the greatest threat of their life.
Republic/Jedi Objective
Defeat the Brotherhood agent in order to stop the planetary shields from being lowered.
Brotherhood Objective
Having slain the rest of the guards, defeat the final surviving defender in order to deactivate the shields.

The Brotherhood seeks to expand its Saleucami protectorate, and the Republic has no intention of allowing the Brotherhood to engulf more planets. However, as the battlefield is further from the nexus of war, fewer resources have been placed in this campaign, forcing reserve forces into action, a slow campaign that will culminate in a final confrontation at Boz Pity. However, there are forces that even the Sith and Jedi are unaware of lurking in these waters...
The Trials of Heroes is an unofficial tournament designed for new members on the site, to get a taste of PvP in a controlled and story-oriented environment. The preliminaries and semifinals will be death-disabled, which means characters cannot be killed; this is because the purpose of these exercises is to learn the basics of PvP. Please note that death-disabled is an exception, not the norm, and most PvP will have the capacity for character death. The tournament will be taking place during the conquest of the S9 grid, with the preliminaries serving as the prerequisite missions, the semifinals serving as 2/3rds of the campaign battles, and the final round serving as the third campaign battle. Only newer member will be allowed to participate.
