Intro: While trying to chart a course to Deucalia the Sith are beset by raiders. They had been keeping an eye on the. Sith and are armed with ion cannons so they can try and board the ships and steal what they want. This will be a difficult dogfight to overcome and even more grizzly if the Sith are boarded.

They had the astromech droid. Bringing it back to the ship the two sith had been able to anlyze it and gather the information from it and had it work with Zan's own astromech droid to piece together. The two droids were able to get the coordinates to make a secure jump to what was allegidly Deucalia.

After that was completed they left the surface of the sand covered planet behind. Being able to copy the information had taken some time but now their two ships would both be able to jump to the same location.

Before they could fully exit the atmosphere Zan picked up several contacts on her scanners that were not normal merchant ships. In fact there was a swarm of them. "I've got ten contacts moving in on our vector." she warned her wingmate. She sounded the signal for her crew to prepare for battle stations.

The speed at which five out of the ten were approaching meant they were starfighters most likely. Chances were they had had a source following the two Sith and learned they had the coordinates for Deucalia on their ship. The other five contacts were still closing in but were noticeably slower ships.

Once in range her gunners performed just as she would expect. Each of them finding their mark and taking out five star fighters in the blink of an eye. However some of them had managed to let out a barrage of laser cannon fire which lowered the heavy star bomber's shields noticeably.

"Beginning hyperspace jump calculations" She said. The woman was not opposed to a fight and her ship was able to deal some serious damage but there was a tough fight and just tempting the force with an opportunity to send her to the afterlife. Her astromech droid bleeped and began working on plotting a hyperspace route. They would need to break the gravity well to make a safe jump.

It was quite the trip in the desert, but in the end, they managed to acquire the desired astromech and bring it back to Zan's ship. As both girls left the golden coloured hot planet of Tatooine behind, Irolia followed the other sith in her own ship, The Black Talon. "Alrighty men, strap in, I'm going to sweep the incoming ships" Called Irolia over the comm to her men in the back. One of the men from her squad armed the rear turret and one manned the seat behind her, controlling the shields.

Turning around, Irolia flew away from Zan's position in an attempt to weaken the remaining 5 ship's shields in a sweeping run, before following Zan. "Parrot, begin hyperspace jump calculations and be ready for my signal," said the droid's owner and she went in with her attack. All around red and green turret fire came at her but managed to evade most of the incoming fire, though a few shots provided some hard damage to the ship's shield.

The moment she got close enough, she opened fire and lit up the suttle ship's shields, damaging them enough for Zan's heavy bomber to do some real damage to the slower ships. Irolia blasted her throttle forward to get beside Zan's ship. "Their shields are damaged greatly" informed Irolia to her wingmate.

The shuttles were going at their maximum speed, trying to close the distance. Zan could out run them without even using her XXX sublight booster if she wanted but that would require her to turn away from the ships and remain in atmosphere. Her goal was to escape the gravitational pull of the planet and get to safe hyperspace jump parameters.

Looking from her chair she saw the streaks of laser fire from Irolia's craft against the five slower ships. They had chin mounted laser cannons making their field of fire difficult to hit her. The closer they got the better her scanners were able to process what types of ships they were. Then the blue skinned woman's voice came in over the ship to ship secure link. "Understood" she replied.

Turning to her inner ship system she relayed the information to her crew. "I want to give them a good broadside when they get within range." All of her troops replied in unison. They were a well oiled machine and she expected no less.

When the five shuttles came within range her crew opened fire. A host of shots from each turret streaked out and pelted what remained of the ships. Shot after shot landed on the shuttles until they started scoring direct hits on their hulls. It was clear some of them were taking a great amount of damage to the point that three began losing altitude. The other two were able to let out a volley of shots that significantly dropped the shields more than they should have.

<"Bloody hell"> she cursed in deucalic. The other two surviving ships banked to avoid further fire and were on their last legs. They still stayed close by intent on coming back for another attack run on either Irolia or Zan. "I think they've got Ion cannons" she guessed. The rate of fire was like that of a light laser cannon but they had lowered the heavy shields down to half. Any other hits were going to have the chance of penetrating the shields and knocking out some systems. <"who the hell are these guys?"> the Crusader wondered. Most raiders could not afford the type of equipment these attackers possessed.

[Irolia Shen]

The shuttles crept closer and closer and soon they were within reach of their Ion Cannons. "Incoming fire!" shouted her co-pilot looking at the scanner. "Evasive manoeuvre" replied Irolia with a stern look as she jerked back the joystick and pressing the throttle all the way forward. The Black Talon flew in an arc up and backwards and rolling around quick as she evaded the fire from the Ion Cannons. Coming in hot, Irolia lit up the shuttle ship's shields with blaster fire from her ship's frontal medium laser cannons. The blue-skinned alien completely removed the shields of the two remaining shuttle ships and severely damaged the closest of the two shuttle ships.

Coming around in a big circle arc, she looked out the cockpit's windows and smirked at the heavy damage she did on the front shuttle ship. The shuttle ship closest to Zan had sparks sprouting from its failing engines and quickly just floated forward in space with no way of stopping or turning. The other shuttle, however, started to turn around, not feeling like taking their chances with two enemy ships, with no shields. "Let's get out of here, don't want to stay our welcome," told Irolia to Zan over the comm.

And sure enough, no less than a few minutes called Irolia's co-pilot out multiple incoming ships on the scanner. "Parrot, how long till we can jump to hyperspace?" Asked Irolia and looked down at her little droid. Beeping back, Irolia rolled her eyes, "not my fault we're getting shot at" shot the alien back at her droid. "Zan, are you ready for jumping? No way my ship holding another wave of these farks" Asked Irolia and sped up to be able to jump for hyperspace.

There were ships still losing altitude but they were well within range. Shots from each of the shuttles were still dancing around the lash heavy star bomber. "Hold on!" She yelled to her crew and hit the burst thrusters.

The ship changed directions almost immediately and started going down as well. This was the only direction that was going to allow the relatively slow and large bomber to avoid more shots for the time being. It was a delay of taking further damage or being affected by the neutralizing ion cannons.

Ten more contacts were coming in on the scanners. The same as before. Five star fighters and five slower ships. "Another wave is incoming. Watch yourself!" She called out to Irolia.

[Irolia Shen]

Irolia could hear her co-pilot tell her incoming fighters 6 o'clock, which the rear gunner open fire on the 2 out of the 5 fighters charging both Sith. These seemed to be better pilots as they kept dodging the blaster fire for them. Irolia passed over Zan's ship in blasting speed, trying to shake the two fighters or shoot them down, with no luck so far. "Blasted pirates" cursed Irolia when a shot from one of the two fighters hit the Black Talon's rear gun, disabling it, making everything shake.

"My rear gun temporary out" announced the blue-skinned Sith to Zan over their secure comm line. Again and again, dodged and zigzagged the Black Talon again and again around Zan position with both pursuing fighters right behind. The heavy but slower ships split up just as the fighters, 3 going for Irolia and two heading for Zan, all three armed with Ion cannons and it seemed they were planning on using the weapons on both Sith ships.

The starfighters were coming in fast. Zan was not happy but luckly it seemed that five of the contacts were slow enough to not be approaching any time soon. If she kept pushing her star bomber's engines and also used the XXX sublight booster sparingly then even with the shuttles at full speed they would not be able to reach her.

The starfighters on the other hand were going to overtake her in moments. "Ready up, those fighters are coming in hot!" She called to her gunners. The woman was not going to be able to keep escaping the the shuttles if she turned to get an angle for all of her turrets. Thankfully five of the turrets were able to get beads on enemies. But at the extreme range the fighter craft were able to dodge some of the shots.

The starfighters chasing Irolia were taken out while the rest were missed but broke off to avoid getting hit. "Those shuttles are too slow. The starfighters are trying to slow us down but don't let them. We just need to hold off these starfighters and we're out of here."

Left and right, rotating wildly to dodge the fighter, pursuing her. With her rear gun taken out, for now, made returning fire annoyance for Irolia and had to think of other ways to take out the last two fighters after her. Thankfully the heavy freighters seemed to have trouble with gaining in on the two Sith, as long as they kept flying fast enough.

Then Irolia got an idea, the stupidly brave or bravely stupid kind of idea. Flying in a big arc, Irolia headed directly for the freighters, still trying to get to her and Zan. "Men, hold on, this is the point of no return!" relayed Irolia and blasted straight towards the freighters. "DIIIE!" Screamed the blue Sith the moment she got within range of her front cannon, she opened fire while spinning, making the lazer look like a spiral tornado of light. The front freighter started to turn, to get their ion cannon in a position to fire back, but too late.

Irolia's massive firing tore through the freighter's shield and managed to destroy the ion cannon on the first freighter. The other two freighters fired their ion cannons but missed and hit the fighters instead. However, in do such a dangerous move, one of the fighters had managed to destroy The Black Talon's rear gun, making it impossible to repair and fix on the go.

"Jumping soon. Get into position Shen!" She called as cannon fire trailed behind her. But the woman dropped her sublight booster as they were approaching the safe distance. A few of the shuttles were coming to the side and intercepting her point. They were not chasing after her, they were trying to cut her off.

The turret gunners focused fire on the nearing enemies. Six turrets fired and hit two of the shuttles, able with combined fire to take them out. After that the woman waited for Irolia to circle back and come along for a synced hyperspace jump. Once she was in position, provided she did not get smoked in her reckless actions, they would be out of the system and heading toward Deucalia. "come on... hurry up. " She muttered to herself.

Irolia blasted away from the tree freighters still trying to gain in on Zan and now also Irolia. Luckily the two with working ion canons was out of reach to fire at her, but the one Irolia destroyed the ion cannon on, fired a volley of blaster fire, in an attempt at damaging her.

She dodged almost all of them, except for one lucky shot that damaged her radar, making her unable to comm Zan or any other ships. But, Irolia managed to get out of reach for all three freighters, blasting towards Zan position in the safe distance to jump to hyperspace. Irolia tried to comm Zan, but only white noise greeted the blue Sith, so she just hoped Zan was ready, cause Irolia would jump in 1... 2... 3...

As soon as Irolia was close to Zan, slammed Irolia the button for jumping to hyperspace and was gone within seconds.
