The grand halls of the citadel were decorated with banners of his sigil that he had designed. It was the first time a sigil was created to represent his house to formally establish it as nobility. From here on out, the Din name would be one of royalty. It was a tremendous amount of pressure, but he knew he wanted this. He also knew he wouldn’t stop here, his ambitions expanding far beyond this. Altair was put through several different rituals and baths to cleanse him before the coronation, incense and perfumed oils all around. It was all new and strange to him, but he followed all the customs.

ve73nvpxoqj71.jpg

The grand hall before the throne was lined with columns, each one displaying the banner of his sigil. The throne was on an elevated platform at the end of the hall, several attendants standing there. There were several Imperials standing there as part of Altair’s official royal guard. There was a banquet room adjacent to the coronation hall where the guests could celebrate later.

If Altair was nervous, he certainly didn’t show it. He knew his family was there in the crowds, but he didn’t focus on any individual right then. The tiefling walked out into the platform before the throne. There were several items that would be given to him, the crown the very last to go on his head. Altair gazed out towards the crowds.

He was adorned in his military officer formal attire shortly before one of the attendants placed a regal cape over his shoulders that had been worn by many kings prior. He was also handed a ceremonial blade. Altair stood tall and proud in his attire, his face impassive and not betraying the anxiety he felt. This was a historic day not just for him, but for the entire Din household. This was the day he was writing his name into the history books to be read well beyond his death. And it was one of many chapters to follow.

The official ceremony would begin shortly.

The day had finally come and Celeste couldn't even believe it yet. Altair's coronation had finally arrived and she was allowed to attend the festivities as a guest this time. She was overly excited, however her excitement was not even referring to her chance to attend the event, but to the fact that Altair was actually going to get crowned as the king of Eiattu...

This was how much had changed. The nervous young Tiefling back from Ord Radama was no longer a Champion, he had already changed a lot when he had officially taken over the rank of an Imperial Commander, but now he was getting another step closer to where he wanted to get.

The first thing that immediately came back to her mind was how he had lounged in her large bathtub, enjoying the royal treatment like he had called it then and that he could really get used to it. Now he had actually achieved one thing: He was entering the status of royalty and his name would always be remembered.

She was changing into her long, elegant, bugundy dress with a wide, warm smile on her lips, her mood fitting the extraordinary occasion. She was happy and looking forward to this day, and she had enjoyed the last days as well, as they had gotten the chance to secretively spend some time together every now and then, but she also knew that once he was officially crowned, their secret meet-ups would even get more difficult.

This was a thought for later though. They'd figure something out eventually. For now she was just joyful for being able to participate in the ceremony because Altair was obviously in charge here. She had chosen a festive hairstyle as well, although she was obviously not aiming for a super fancy look that would stick out unnecessarily. And so she waited for the ceremony to begin...

Standing among the crowd and looking ahead with pride in his eyes and a smile on his face, the older brother couldn't help but think back on simpler times, back when his little brother was a lil brat that had fire in his heart and nothing in his head, it felt like it hadn't been that long ago, yet here they were now: Little Tai was now a king after killing some crazy sith tyrant, like the shining hero of a fairy tale. Khalid was almost as proud as he was back when he won that Huttball game, almost.

"Yond cape looks mosth ridiculous on our lil' king" The Tiefling cowboy told his twin sister (@Scoobert), an unholy attempt at making a snobbish noble accent coming out of his mouth, mixed with both shakespearean basic and his usual southern accent that made even Khalid himself cringe as he realized the shit he had just spewed outta his mouth "...I would say if I could recognize 'im, ya sure this ta right place? That 'ere Tiefling looks like he ate our lil' brother if anything!...We really are gonna end up bein' ta smallest of ta family, huh?" Khalid sadly commented, letting out a small sigh for dramatic purposes before going back to attending to the ceremony.

The older brother would be wearing...something that would make him look like a total moron under any other situation. Fortunately, within the context of the ceremony, it only made him look kinda like a moron! Khalid did already know that, though, but if Altair had to wear goofy capes and crowns in this day and age, his big bro would share his pain with him!...Besides, he also liked how the pants made his butt look great, so even while losing in fashion he was still winning in some ways.

On the one hand, Varyn had little interest in going to another social event after having been drugged at the last one, but on the other hand, this was his friend... his good friend. And it wasn't some small thing, it was a kriffing coronation ceremony. How could Varyn not go? He just... wouldn't drink anything this time.

Arriving in some fancy, aristocrat-style clothes that he - as a poor kid from the Coruscant slums - felt entirely out of place wearing, he'd taken a position in the crowd as he watched the proceedings.

There was a part of him that was a little jealous of his friend, though he'd have never admit it aloud. All the fame and reputation... though with fame and reputation came all the responsibility, didn't it? He couldn't imagine ruling a planet, but kriff if Altair hadn't earned it. As much as he may like to play hard, he worked even harder, and Varyn was proud of him.

He made his way through the crowd and was surprised to actually see a familiar face in Celeste (@LadyRen). He'd thought she wasn't allowed off of Ziost, but that wasn't really his department.

Didn't know you knew Altair, he said as he came to a stop next to her.

A momentous occasion arose in the form of Gorr's idol, Altair Din, becoming the crowned King of Eiattu. Pride swelled within the white wolf and his bosom burned warmly. This was the same man who had led him on Korriban- the same man who greatly assisted in the defeat of the Killik invasion. The same man who brought Yavin to heel when other's could not. And now Gorr would be able to kneel before his new Lord as well. If anyone was fit to rule an Empire, it was Altair Din, the Demon King of Eiattu.

Gorr wore his official officer's suit, worn for formal occasions like this, adorned with medals of his own achievements, but they could not compete with those that Altair wore. A slight smile spread across the Shistavanen's lips as he looked up to his new King. Gorr did not know Altair on a personal level, but that didn't matter to him. Today was about showing support for his fellow Imperial and that was what Gorr was going to do. In fact, Gorr wasn't entirely sure if he was going to be able to meet Altair and congratulate him with the vast amounts of people here all probably wanting to do the same.

This was truly a man worth fighting for in Gorr's eyes. Perhaps even worth dying for. Either way, Gorr's loyalty to Altair Din would only increase this day. And, oh, what a day this is...

Ambivalence stirred in the woman's gut when the coronation ceremony finally arrived. Socials have not been an enjoyable experience for her in recent years and she couldn't remember the last time she had attended one and fully enjoyed herself. She had thought for Korriban's victory celebration it would have been one of the best nights, but in fact it turned out to be one of the worst. Then the others before it, from a boat crash to learning about a Sith Master giving deadly substances to his own students, she really would have opted out this evening if it wasn't for the fact this was Altair's night.

She was proud of the work he has done to reach this point so far, he was a natural leader, able to do things within the sith and imperial command that she could never dream of even trying. And to see him get to this point after she had feared his career, and even life would have been ended in the sith after taking wildfire. She knew he would face difficulties on his path from this point onward, he was making a name for himself, he would be noticed by both allies and enemies alike, an uncertainty that did not bring a clear future or path for anyone who chose to stand with him.

Regardless, Tiamat arrived, dressed in fire, black heels, and gold shimmer subtly reflected along her arms and fingers. Her hair was pinned up, braided against her head, held in place by ornate gold pins and dotted with tiny white flowers. Her stomach tightened with her own nerves as she kept quietly to herself, politely making minor small talk and quickly withdrawing to herself to avoid further awkwardness. Her blue eyes continued to drift to Altair, a small smile betraying her occasionally before she returned to her aloofness.

Half the peasants in the room had probably never seen a coronation. Not Max. On Adumar, the right to rule was passed from one Praetor to the next with every honour and tradition. Too few worlds understood what that meant anymore and Max was secretly stoked to be at a coronation at all.

He stood solidly next to one the columns lining the chamber,
black tie and snazzy jacket keeping up with the rich and powerful all around. It had taken no small amount of determination to secure a place at today's ceremony, but Lieutenant Maximus Dram didn't intend to miss it. There were too few worth following in the glorious Empire, but maybe, just maybe Altair Din was one of them. He intended to find out for sure.

He snatched a drink from a passing waiter's tray, taking a long sip. It was good stuff, hopefully a taste of what was to come if their own could rise to such heights. The waiter himself wasn't half bad, like most of the people in the room. Today was a good day to be alive in the Empire.

Max scanned the room calmly, hazel eyes taking in the many faces and factions. They were all kindred spirits today.

Today was the big day that Altair was officially deemed King via coronation. Something as important as this required the Din family to be there to say the least. Khalani arrived alongside her twin Khalid per usual and was excited to see her little brother become King Din. Arriving in style she wore a fancy red suit because dresses weren't her forte. Unfortunately her twin counterpart, Lid, wore a ridiculous outfit and began preaching in horrendous and very twanged properish basic.

"Lid.. I've told you four times now, that little accent you're puttin' on is not it." She gave him a slight shove on the shoulder before continuing, "We? You mean you? I'll have bigger guns than you by winter you big goof. Now come on we gotta tell Tai congrats so Maw don't ring our necks for being the last ones to do it." Khalani would grab Khalid by the arm and give a little tug forwards toward where their little brother was being all regal and fabulous.

Khalani would look over to her twin and speak as they walked,
"Let's hope he hasn't gotten all uppity on us, yea?" The last thing she'd wanna hear is the poshness of such atrocities such as being uppity. She might even need to start drinking earlier than usual at that point. For now she would stay on dry status until Maw can get her family photo. Maw ain't havin no ruined photos on her walls.

The Night Veil had been docked in orbit with a majority of its crew still on board with the Captain, his personal droid, and the choir and orchestra being deployed to participate in the ceremony below. They had been set up for an hour before most of the guests began to arrive, their instrument tuning already finished. Their uniforms were pristine, their postures straight and formal. Each one was nervous to the core, playing before Altair himself was the most important performance in their life. Yet each stood brave and stone faced.

His chitinous form slowly trundled towards the stand, the performers readying their instruments. They knew the exact pieces in the exact order they were going to play tonight; ever since they knew they were going to play here today they practiced as hard and as often as they could. They probably could have played the entire selection without the conductor if it were any other night, but tonight it was important to have him there. His uniform was tailored for his unusual frame. Six arms, squat built, a fur covered exoskeleton, and a larger head were all factors that differentiated the Harch from other humanoids in just build alone. Yet his uniform was as perfect as the rest of those in attendance, with a thin shoulder cape resting against his hunched shoulders.

The Harch species were not known for nervousness, it took quite a lot to push them to be anything close. But tonight, Caduceus Ramage was quite nervous. He knew this group were ready yet even then the pressure was still on. He raised one of his limbs to grab the wand to gently tap it against the stand ahead of him. He waited a moment for everyone to focus, before beginning the song. It was somewhat lively, though not meant to really bring the full force of the musical group.

A historic occasion like this one couldn’t be missed. Having recently been stationed on Eiattu, Sebastian was fortunate enough to be able to witness it live. It more than made up for the long days he’d had to endure of doing… well, nothing. Now, he stood among a few of his colleagues toward the front of the room, clad in his official army uniform.

It was definitely not on the same level, but if Altair had attended his promotion ceremony, it was fitting for Sebastian to attend his.

Though he’d never spoken to the Imperial Commander and now king of Eiattu, the tiefling was a man he greatly respected. Ever since his speech on Korriban, Sebastian felt proud to serve under him, and he was sure that he would be just as accomplished of a king as he was a military commander.

He would accept a small drink from a server who offered some to his group before turning back to face the front. The music started and it seemed as if the ceremony would begin soon, and he didn’t want to miss it.

It didn’t matter that weeks had passed since the announcement was made and invitations were sent out - Jabari was still utterly exuberant for his younger brother. Once, they’d been nothing but farmer boys on Bandomeer. But now? The younger Din had not only deposed some tyrant and liberated the population, but had claimed the mantle of king for himself. In no time at all, Altair had proven himself across the Galaxy - going from Huttball Champion, to ruling an entire planet within the Empire.

It was everything he wanted for his little brother and more - and Jabari knew that Altair would only soar in height from today. Though he’d sooner jump off a cliff than admit it, the thought had gotten the Tiefling a bit choked up as he entered the throne room.

Considering that Jabari was technically royalty by extension, the Tiefling promptly decided to look the part. Rather than his usual tank tops and leather jackets, Jabari strolled into the throne room adorned in an
almost ridiculous cerulean tailcoat and matching pants. The outfit was complete with a few rings on his fingers, frilled sleeves and a jabot. His two-tone hair was neatly slicked back and combed, and also not visible whatsoever - as Jabari donned an aristocratic, powdered wig over the top.

Despite what he considered - and absolutely was - ridiculous attire, Jabari didn’t miss the opportunity to wave and wink at a few of the noble ladies along the way - tail swishing playfully behind him. With his brother as king, for once, Jabari didn’t see any of them grimace or scowl at him like some kind of demon.

“Y’all already were,” Jabari said with a grin towards Khalid, walking up to his siblings from behind. He wrapped his arms around both, pulling them both into a hug. For once, this time it wasnt an excuse to pull some shit over his brother. “Can’t fuckin believe Tai is a King now..” He muttered, smiling distantly towards the throne. “I still ain’t callin’ him Mah Lord.” He nodded a bit before looking around excitedly.

Without giving it much thought, the Tiefling nudged the person directly next to him in the arm - flashing a wide grin. “That’s my fuckin’ lil bro! Remember when he was still in diapers,” He said cheesily. The very snobby looking Duchess in question stared back at the Tiefling in utter bewilderment, metaphorically and physically clutching her pearls. He didn’t waste much time after that - beginning to make his way with his siblings.

Already at the front of the gallery, the rest of the Din family watched on with pride. As parents of the monarch, Ma and Pa had been reserved some of the best seats in the room - closest to the dias where Altair stood. Little Laila stood between them - looking every bit the princess in her own little dress, standing on her tippy toes to get a better look at the ceremony.

Both parents had dressed in their finest - and it was likely one of the very few times any of the Din siblings would have seen Pa in a suit, hair combed and neat as he looked on with pride. “Look at my baby!” Ma said between them, unable to help the giddy smile on her face. “My grown, handsome boy. His majesty the King,” Tears already had started to flow, prompting her to lift a tissue to dab her eyes. “Crown an’ all.”

“Atta boy,” Pa said quietly and with a wide smile, putting an arm around Ma and Laila as he watched on.

For all the ways they had dreamed of their children continuing the family farm and being close to home, they wouldn’t be prouder of their son in that moment.

The halls of power scribed yet one more name into their lists. Some time ago, Altair had been an unknown, another face in a faceless organisation of terrible might. Trials and tribulations the demon prince had gone through, some known to all and others, only burned within on pyres of the soul.

Although today was a celebration of triumph and success, he had woken a prince and to bed a king, what terrible burdens of responsibility now lay across the young tiefling's shoulders.

Naturally, Caelian would attend wearing a black suit trimmed with shades of crimson and join the mingling with the other guests. Altair appeared, an inspiring individual, one of self-determined drive and conviction. Though he hadn't yet had an opportunity to spend much time with the commander, the Echani was sure that the local populace, and perhaps one day the empire, were in good hands.

Soon the event would kick off in style and after that the socialising would begin. So far nothing had caught fire, though he didn't expect the festivities would be permitted their usual Sith antics this time.

Any but the insensate would rate Altair's last promotion party a ball-turned-rager, what with half the attendees getting carted off the floor somehow or other. This one had a much more regal vibe all 'round. A King with a crown. Nakoa may never understand why land-walkers seemed obsessed with chairs that were as elaborate as they were uncomfortable but Wreans also had to learn to navigate common stairs when they first took to shore. Call it cultural differences.

Regardless, Singh turned up for this momentous occasion in distinctly feminine attire. They wore a mesh-panel black dress that revealed their array of colorful tattoos, and half-hidden gold heels clicked against the stone floor. Earrings of gold and jade matched their hands well, while red makeup lent intensity to amber-gold eyes around contours and shading. Ink-black hair was let loose to cascade down their back and shoulders. Some of the nicest things Nakoa owned and felt like wearing felt like it suited a coronation.

Painted lips smirked at the building's classic construction, eyes lighting up at this peak of cultural history. Nakoa nearly missed the server passing out fluted drinks while in the middle of intensely examining one of the sigil banners. They thought the dragon backing and symbols and stylized ur-Kittât calligraphy were nice touches. Lifting a passing glass they left the banner behind to join the gathered crowd where the rest of the Din family were rightly celebrating. The smirk edged toward a smile at the newly noble family's antics. They sipped the champagne- it may as well be water but it tasted good so whatever- and awaited the crowning ceremony.

A certain already-aghast dutchess failed to suppress a gasp at the visible tattoos on Nakoa, who arrived at her other side. Bless her heart.

Here on Eriattu, Celeste had not only helped to build the planet back up like instructed, but she had repeatedly searched for chances to gather more information about the noble families and the Priamsta, because in her current position it was easy to slip in and out under different presence.

And so she had stayed attentive while using every chance that was offered to ensure to gain insights on the families, ao that none of them would actually plan something that would eithed threaten the ceremony or even worse: Altair himself. Scepticism prevailed in a few houses so far and Altair would have to continue proving himself, but the rest had already began to realize that Altair was no Asminys, which was obviously a good sign.

When it was finally about time, Celeste strolled closer to the room in which the ceremony would be held, the smile on her lips betraying the happiness she actually felt for Altair. She spotted various other Tieflings and it wasn't hard to tell that those were family members of Altair.

Her smile widened, as she hadn't had the pleasure to meet anyone of them yet despite Amira and she wondered whether he would show up to, but she did assume that none of his siblings would miss such an important event anyway. While slightly lost in thoughts she was suddenly surpised by a very familiar voice and as her gaze flicked over to Varyn, it took her a moment to take his outfit in.

"Hey, Varyn! Good to see you", she greeted him with happily, however the outfit still being an exceptional sight. "That noble attire definitely suits you!". It was true. While it was suited him, she was however still processing that they were not meeting for a training session today. "Oh I've known him for quite some time...We were sent on a few missions together back then, when my diplomatic aims needed military support", she answered with a chuckle, because looking back, it was almost a little crazy how much they had experienced together and she obviously couldn't tell Varyn what they had done during the last few months. "Since when do you two know each other?", she curiosly asked, wondering how close the two men were.

Like most here Wodan had a close bond with the new King, he and Altair had been through a fair bit over time and both had grown exponentially from when they first met. Despite how he currently felt inside, he wouldn’t miss this day for the Galaxy. He stood next to the closest pillar to the left of the raised dias just slightly removed from the crowd; he had a perfect view of the coronation and if the Tiefling shifted his gaze slightly he would see Wodan.

He wore a simple black uniform it was purposefully blank of the few medals he had won in the glory of the Empire. Wodan still had a bitter taste in his mouth about the Korriban medal and it had spread overtime towards the others, even those he had won properly, with blood and murder.

A smile crept over Wodan’s face as he looked up towards Altair, his right hand was raised to his chest, from a distance it would look like a salute, but a closer look would show a small shard of metal dangling from his neck, shifting through his fingers as he thought back at the memories. Eraidu, Corsin, Atravis, Naboo.

Nothing in the Galaxy was going to keep Vahliri from attending Altair’s coronation. For years - since their very first days in the Empire, they had been close - through every tribulation and achievement. He was perhaps the person she was closest to within the Sith, and the half-Annfyn recognized the importance of the ceremony. This was to be his day, and Vahliri would cheer him on every step of the day.

Shortly before the ceremony began, Vahliri entered the throne room - beginning to step her way down the grand staircase, the scent of her floral perfume filling the air. The half-Annfyn had donned her finest for the ceremony - adorned in a luxurious gown of emerald green, exposing her shoulders and leaving a train of fabric behind her.

Waves of black hair cascaded down her shoulders, styled loosely with an elegant hairpiece before tumbling to the middle of her back in soft folds. Her arms were decorated with golden armlets, while several rings adorned her fingers.

Her posture was poised and straight as she entered the room, though the smile that tugged at her lips betrayed the underlying emotion. She was proud and happy for Altair, and could only wonder where he would go from today. The Tiefling would see it clearly if he ever caught sight of her in the crowd. She carried a small wooden box in one hand, something she’d present later in the evening.

“Tia,” She said, approaching the redhead above all the other guests. “It’s good to see you,” Vahliri smiled. She hadn’t seen much of the Sith Master since the trip to Dathomir, but she was someone that Vahliri genuinely considered a friend. “You look gorgeous.”

Clove wasn't at the coronation for more drama, fights, or petty songs. In reality, she wasn't sure why she was here in the first place. Korriban's celebration had been a disaster and many of Altair's friends didn't particularly like her. And her own relationship with Altair was... uncertain. But this was more than just drama or uncertainty. This was the coronation that would change the world for the better, the coronation of the man who would always have her heart. And, given that the Star Guardians had been invited to visit the planet and help the suffering civilians of Eiattu, she saw no reason not to come.

Despite wearing a muted-pink tule gown with petal-like lace on the bodice, a delicate black choker and her waterfall of curls and braids loosely falling over her shoulders, she wasn't near the front to shine. Instead, the half-Annfyn blended in with the crowd, hoping to stay out of sight of those who didn't really appreciate her presence. It was close enough that the Tiefling could see her from the elevated platform if his gaze wandered in her direction, and that was enough for her.

And as she waited for the ceremony, a small but proud smile appeared on her lips. She had no idea what the future held, but she was more than proud of Altair and his efforts to improve the lives of those on Eiattu right away.

Altair saw many faces he recognized and it made his heart swell with pride that they all made the trip out here to see this day. He had humble beginnings, and now he saw many people that had been there for him since his days of an acolyte stumbling through missions. The tiefling stood tall as the Grand Seneschal strode over to begin the ceremony. He was an elderly man that had been imprisoned during Asminys’ reign. He looked frail, but he carried himself with dignity and poise, clearly having served Kings in the past.

The Seneschal held the crown in his hands as he faced the crowds. The music came to a pause and there was a hush throughout the crowds. Altair held the ceremonial blade and waited for the man to begin. Despite his frail appearance, his voice projected powerfully across the hall.

“May the Winged Goddess grant him resolve and protect him in these perilous times. May the Fanged God grant him strength that he might bear this heavy burden and overcome our enemies. And may the Force, through which all things are bound, show him the path he must walk and guide him through the dark places that lie ahead.”

Altair bowed forth as the crown was placed on his head. The Seneschal spoke as the crown was placed.

“In the sight of the Empire and the Force, I now proclaim Altair of the House Din First of His Name; King of the Great Seas and Lands of Eiattu, Lord of the Priamsta, and Protector of Her sovereign systems. Long may he reign!”

The tiefling stood tall and looked out at the guests, raising the ceremonial blade as the chanting for his reign resounded in the halls all around.

“To my subjects, the people of Eiattu, know that I will serve you with honor and loyalty. I will bring this planet back to prosperity and break the chains placed by my predecessor,” The crowd cheered and clapped, having suffered under Asminys for a long time, “With my rise to the throne, it is also decreed that my family ascends. Henceforth, the House of Din recognizes the following members: Crown Father Ibrahim Din, Queen Mother Farah Din, Princess Nadiya Din (@Wit), Princess Imani Din (@lizziie ), Princess Khalani Din (@Scoobert ), Prince Khalid Din (@Versok ), Princess Amira Din (@llamallove ), Prince Jabari Din (@Altaris), Prince Kasim Din (@SlagathorTheUnknown ), Prince Emir Din (@LouJoVi ) and Princess Laila Din,” Altair knew his siblings would be choking on their food or drinks at this point and he avoided looking at any of them, "Let us feast and celebrate the dawn of a new era!"

There was plenty of cheering all around, especially from other noble families that now had plenty of marriage prospects to get themselves into royalty. Altair raised his sword once more before finally taking a seat on his new throne. He gave a wave of his hand for the festivities to continue. Music began to play once again and the feast hall was open, the main floor before him now open for dancing and mingling. For his part, he would remain on the throne for now, an attendant bringing him a goblet of locally made wine that another tasted before he would sip from it.

“He said I’m a what now?” Mama Din whispered as she leaned over. Papa Din was still staring wide eyed.

“I think we fancy now,”
He grumbled as they suddenly had all eyes on them, “These people best not try to come visit the farm..”

“Did he say I’m a real princess, mama?!” Laila gasped as she stared in wonder.

“Ah you were always a princess to him,” Papa Din said with a smile as he scooped Laila up into his lap so she could see better.

Noble members of the Priamsta were in attendance, several of them having fled offworld as soon as Asminys came into power. They had abandoned their people to save themselves. Now that they knew Altair was not a tyrant, they trickled back to assume their previously powerful positions.

A woman that previously didn’t cast a second glance at Jabari (@Altaris)suddenly walked over with a drink, “My Prince,” She beamed and did a curtsy, “You look absolutely dashing. Would you care for a dance?” If Jabari looked, he would see the girl’s father, a house of nobility, eagerly and hopefully watching.

Similarly, Khalid (@Versok) suddenly found himself surrounded by several women from various noble houses clamoring for his attention. This was true of all the Dins in attendance that were abruptly crowded by noble men and women vying for them.

Altair was thankful for the distance from the crowds for now, knowing that he would be flooded with suitors and marriage prospects. He silently drank from his goblet, amethyst eyes gazing thoughtfully ahead and not looking at anyone in particular.

Tiamat's eyes light up when Vahl (@Altaris) approached, happy to at least see someone she recognized in the masses of attendees that made it difficult for her to pinpoint everyone. She admired the half-annfryn's gown and gold jewelry; a stunning sith warrior who knew how to carry herself both on the battlefield and in events like this. "Hi Vahl, thank you, you look gorgeous also. Isn't this exciting?" she said, her gaze turning to Altair, "He's really earned this, the people have seemed to already really taken a liking to him." Tia had not failed to notice the brightened smiles of the native Eiattu citizens when she arrived back to the world.

The hall grew quiet as the Seneschal held up the crown beginning the ceremony. She stayed put, watching as the hall stilled as the ceremony proceeded. The title announced, a crown placed and then Altair spoke, making his promise to his people and bringing his family up with him as he bestowed new titles. Cheers erupted and Tiamat joined in. She was surprised, but not, knowing how much his family meant to him. Instantly as the formal portion of the ceremony concluded, it was easy to spot members of the Din family as many started to gravitate to them. This helped make clearer foot paths around the hall and Tia was all about it as she wanted to get her drink(s), and eat and soon dance. Maybe not in that order.

"Are you here with Varyn tonight?" she asked Vahl if she stuck around and didn't drift off yet.

John took small steps around the room as he chewed. His loose black robe cloaked him like an Orthodox monk, his hood hanging over his face. He swayed in between the other spectators, standing in a spot next to Caelian. Even as he beheld the coronation he continued chewing. Then he said, in a low voice to Caelian as if they were old friends, “Can one serve both Sithdom and Kingdom? The duties of the dark side wait for no crown.”
