[FINISHED] Force Training - Telekinesis

Janus Fawkes stood in the center of the training room admiring his handy work. He had spent a few hours programming the training simulator for force training, the room had subsequent changed to have ledges both high and low carrying droid dummy's at Janus's side was a crate of heavy looking metal discs all the the purpose of this exercise. Today Janus was going to practice force telekinesis with the help of the droids and discs. A few weeks ago he had put up a flyer on the message board inviting other initiates or padawans to join him in the exercises. He sure hoped that people would turn up or this would have been all for nothing.

He walked over the the simulators control panel typing in a few algorithms ensuring that the simulation is correct before initiating it. He would not want any accidents during the training course or at least he hoped it would not come to that

 

[Necris]

Gol Erbek made his way towards the training room, he was eager to practice and refine his telekinesis skills, while he was able to push and pull objects with rapid force he struggled with the finer abilities of moving an object slowly and carefully and he could use those skills, he paused at the temple notice board checking for new notices before he headed for the training room.

Entering he spotted Janus Fawkes making the final preparations for the training session.

"Brother Fawkes, a pleasure to meet you."

He said in a formal fashion, his voice had a slight crackle thanks to the filtration plugs that ran down the sides of his torso to help him breathe, as he walked into the room he slid from his dark brown over robe folding it neatly in his arms as he walked, he placed the robe on the floor beside the control panel and looked around the room his one organic eye narrowing to take in the details.

"I am Gol Erbek."

 

[Jinkies]

Janus turned to the sound of the crackly voice behind him recognizing the initiate to be Gol turning on his heel he politely bowed to the fellow initiate "Ah brother Erbrk it was good of you to make the training practise" regaining his posture he would have his hood up but his face visible to the fellow initiate especially his large unblinking black eyes. He took a moment to take him in realizing he was not as he expected especially the naturally crackling voice and the noticable cables running down from his face to his torso. he wondered for a second how he came to have such a device. it would indeed be interesting to find out once they became closer friends

"I was afraid no one would come, to be honest i'm not the most popular Nautolan in the temple, not for any bad reasons just I am not as socialable" smiling at the initiate as he slipped off his coat folding it up before placing it to the side "but enough about me, shall I talk you through what we are doing for excersise"

 

[Necris]

He noticed the observation, it was difficult not too ever since his master had died people had regarded him differently he believed some thought him cursed, he dismissed such foolishness but he had lost something in himself ever since the events, he'd closed himself off training alone away from the rest of the initiates this would be the first time he'd trained with someone since Master Voss.

"Please, I must admit I have become unfamiliar when it comes to training with others, I've become somewhat of a recluse of late, this will be good for me."

He limbered his his arm, a force if habit he always did before training though he didn't require it his body was ready for the action it longed for it after such a long period of inactivity during his recovery.

 

[Jinkies]

"The initial goal is to hit the targets on the ledges using nothing but the force and these discs. you are not allowed lightsabers, blasters or any other projectile and you are not allowed to climb the ledges, you must stay on the ground floor" He had only heard rumors of the initiate recluse but he dared not say it less it upset gol, he could sense how troubled he was, his sense of force empathy was becoming sharper bit by bit as he trained to refine his force abilities "This exercise will help you to channel your force abilities to move objects, an exercise I am proud to say have concocted on my own" he tried not to be to smitten about

"I trust you have done similar exercises before yes" he said with a smile to the initiate. he hoped more people will turn up but he was trying hard to be serious while on this exercise knowing he had a habit of making vulgar or inappropriate remarks at the worst of times

 

[Necris]

"Yes but I could never truly master the fin arts of telekinesis, Master Voss thought it was due to my adventurous nature the need for the now not the when he used to say."

As He moved towards the disks his eyes dropped as he though of Master Voss but they had returned to looking up as he picked one of the disks up and turned it over in his hand examining it the cybernetic eye focused on the disk as he let it fall to the ground turning his hand over quickly he concentrated on the disk attempting to catch it with the force he succeeded in slowing it but he clattered to the ground at his feet, he frowned slightly then lifted it from the ground before pushing it up to the highest target.

"I've mastered push and pull but beyond that I struggle to do more than lift and hover."

 

[Jinkies]

From what I learned concentration on a singular object helps. When my force abilities manifested I had issues with telekinesis. Random objects used to smash against walls when I got mad, it was mayhem for the first few years he rubbed his head grinning, sort of embarrassed from telling the story "concentrating on the singular most object clearing your mind of nothing but the object and visualizing your will onto the disc usually gets the job done" he didn't want to make the initiate uncomfortable especially when they have just met. extend his arm he would focus the force into the disc causing it to shakily rise and float to his hand

"I still have problems with it myself but after five years I have stopped harming people with miss-telekinesis" swiping his hand the disc would fly from his hand to a target curving away from the dummy, missing it. He sighed admitting that his aim is a little off

 

[Necris]

He sighed lowering his hand he looked intently at the next disk concentrating on the smooth surfaces of it felling its edges and its weight forming in his mind he imaged it lifting up feeling the cool surface in his hand he watched as the disk wobbled then toppled he changed the focus pushing it vertically into the air and as it fell he reached out again stopping it this time from hitting the ground, he swiped his hand to the left sending it toward a ground level target and missed, letting out a long breath he turned looking at Janus with a smile.

"We'll that was better than most times I try that, I once dropped a vase on a masters foot."

He shuck his head.

"I am much better at instinctive use of the force, action and reaction, the quick flow of the force over concentrated direction."

 

[Jinkies]

"Its possible to go by instinct both in an out of battle but concentration equals more control of the force and better results he once again attempted to levitate a disc focusing the force on the one object putting in much concentration before once again launching it at the dummy on the beast ledge taking off its head clean. he smiled at the initiate before saying "its easy if you believe in yourself and practice, now try and hit one of the dummy droids"

stepping back as to avoid any rouge discs or accidentally being crippled keeping an eye on him taking in his movements as he does will all interested in what he would do next

 

[Necris]

He went through the same routine as before lifting the disk and holding it in the air before his while shifting his gaze to focus on one of the droids as it moved around the chamber pushing his hand gently in its direction he closed his eyes as everything along that line moved the droid smashing against the far wall he lowed his hand and let out a dry chuckle, unfortunately for him that was all he was able to muster with his beating pipes and filter plugs.

"Maybe a little too much concentration there I think."

He half turned to Janus.

"I think I'm beginning to understand this, but I must confess I am a little distracted today."

 

[Jinkies]

"If you ever want to talk about you know where to find me " smiling he briefly placed and arm on his shoulder before letting it fall back his own side concentration on two discs this time with the force before speaking again "But its best to learn to curb your emotions or you'll end up like this padawan I knew once. He an egotistic racist who could never curb his anger and agression" he would stop breifly and remembered the jedi precepts deciding to drop the topic

"Point is sometimes emotions can get in the way and thats why the Jedi learn to control them as not to cloud their judgement and make discriminate decisions" shrugging as he throws the discs with the force but both missing the targets swerving off in other directions

 

[Necris]

He smiled.

"I know the old mantra, I was once a Padawan learner on my way to knighthood, but my master was killed saving my life, the anger I hold is at myself so being too weak in the force, the grief I carry is that my aster gave his life for mine and if I was worth the sacrifice, the masters rightly decided that I was not ready to be a knight."

He closed his eyes lifting a trio of disks, it was the first time he'd opened up since Master Voss' death it felt good he could feel the stones the weight and with a thought he sent them flying in three separate directions to impact against three droids.

"Thank you for helping me clear my mind somewhat."

He turned from the disks.

"It is sometimes difficult to forget the discrimination bred into us, especially some of the older initiates, the younglings often have it easier when they are brought up according to the Jedi way, I found it very difficult to adapt to he Jedi way of thinking when I joined the order, I thought it would mean a life of adventure and excitement. Not that I regret my choices of course."

 

[Jinkies]

" glad to be of help, brother" briefly smiling to the former padawan but then frowning before saying " but the way these stuffy old masters think is not the only way. These days we can cant do or say anything on the fear of being accused of falling to the dark side, people here are THAT Paranoid sometimes" lifting yet another disc with the force he concentrates on it once again but this time he focuses on the target visualizing it in his head before channeling a force throw into the disc launching it at one of the droids hitting it straight in the chest knowing it down onto its back.

" Some of these padawans and initiates may just grow to be just puppets bent at the will of the council. Some of them take the code to seriously and judge others for no reason, it bothers is that some of the students are still children and yet some process the code like robot" he signed as he placed his hand to his temple. Over use of the force was giving him headaches. He always overdid it while training maybe he should stop training and go back to studies until the headaches subside. even so he felt a connection to the former padawan

 

[Necris]

" I agree with you somewhat but there is something in honouring the old traditions yet we must adapt to the needs of the current, the sith run rampant in the galaxy where in the past we've managed to hold them at bay now they stand poised to strike at us at will and with little recourse."

He and turned from the disks pacing of a frown forming on his brow he snatched up his lightsaber and turned sending it flashing through the air it blade igniting as it flew it cut a droid clean in half before returning to his hand, he hesitated for a second and extinguished the blade eyes narrow mouth open in a thin angry smile.

"I am sorry, it was a Sith that did this."

He gestured at the breathing pipes and eye.

"I Long for revenge yet I know deep in my heart that revenge is not the right path, I know that I must do the right defend the weak but the is a part of me that wants to lead the charge into Imperial space and tear every one of the apart, but that course of action leads only to the dark side and me becoming like one of them, we need to be the tempered blades that cut the cancer of evil from the galaxy."

He stopped and bowed his head.

"Forgive me I am becoming political and that is best left to more interested people."

 

[Jinkies]

"That there is the perfect motivation and drive for a bounty hunter or a Mando. to take action and the fearlessness to take on any dangers with a blaster in hand and charge in guns a blazing may not be the Jedi way but you have a reson to become stronger and push yourself to improve your skills" he smiled at nodded to the initiate before speaking once again, his eyes making direct contact with his " To be a honest a lot of Jedi preach this no violence stuff but most of them are pretty aggressive" he would turn around placing his hands behind his back before pacing

"If you think about it in times of peace when we are not needed on the battle field we are stuck in our temples preaching this religion to the what we call ignorant masses" he would stop pacing a moment before looking back at him "so the need for battle is both unnecessary ad necessary so i say let that drive you to get better and honor your masters memory's by passing on the wise words he taught you to the new generation"

 

[Necris]

"Master Voss always maintained that Jedi could not be pacifists and that violence was a essential part of their being what he advocated was the proper use of that violence, the trick he always said was maintaining the internal balance of peace and violence to sway to far in either direction leads from the true Jedi path."

He laughed as he lifted a disk the sound strange to him.

"Seems we share a similarity in opinions."

 

[Jinkies]

"Indeed, your master was a wise man" he nodded to the initiate " I am due to meet my master soon hopefully at least that's what I think the trip to the "Light of the force" is about" he remembered the meeting about his trip he was excited to see the Jedi's flagship in a person, he had never been on a combat training temple before. He hoped that this would be a fruitful en-devour or they wouldn't have arranged for this trip to happen.

He hoped this commute wasn't because he did anything wrong or at least that's what he thought. He could not recall ever getting up to mischief due to being ensconced in his studies so much he rarely had time for free activities. He didn't want to be behind just because he didn't have a master yet " I guess the trip will be educational at least"

 

[Necris]

" I wish you all the best brother."

He offered his hand.

" I am due to ship out to Brentaal to aid in the defence there, and I have a sparring session to run, a fellow Iniiate has travelled along way to undertake the session."

He gave the room one more look around.

" I hope to see you again soon brother."

 

[Jinkies]

He would take his hand grasping it firmly smiling at the initiate as he shook his hand

" I hope to on the battlefield soon to brother"

as he released his hand and watch him walk out he examined here one more time wondering about his master and the hard times he faced enduring his death. Maybe sacrifice was one of the trials a Jedi had to face in his lifetime
