Location: Shadowport, Darlyn Boda, K-18, Neutral Space
Time: 1000
Participants: @EmilyHuene @Darasuum
Theme: Call Me Devil by Friends In Tokyo

The Axion assault ship streaked through the asteroid leaving curling clouds in the astral wake. It was a beautiful sight to behold before them, the luster of the crater ridden asteroid and the glimmering structures jutting up fro it. Smaller instillation on separate asteroids followed the larger structure. Zeff remembered the Void, the Accord's old head quarters. But that group had been dismantled years ago. This place was the opposite. This Shadowport was a hub of trade and black marketeering and the Eastern Incubus had come to do business.

The vessel Zeff flew in was painted with green sigils of his own artistic design. Inside was an armory which he had collected through time. It was only a portion of his acquisitions but that was why he was known as a fixer. The two ring member of the Shadow Syndicate would dock with the large port as his music played in the background to just sate the silence. The Glaive, as he called it, was customized to suit his tastes. While he was only a two ring the Nagai had acquired a great deal of wealth before he had joined the Syndicate. Always well dressed, always armed with the best gear and if he could help it, always comfortable.

He was here with non other than one of the Three ring bosses of the Shadow Syndicate, Caiden Vex. The two had come to move in on some of the special tauria fruit. A local pirate base used slave labor to farm the fruit as well as other substances. The Nagai wondered how much the boss wanted to take. Zeff was a student of Geir Ambros who would probably take everything if he felt like it. Right now that was kind of how he felt but that could also be the music pumping him up.

Cramped. That's all Caiden could think about right now. After living the life in luxury all he could think about was how small this Axion class was. They should have taken his own ship. But that would draw too much attention and he knew it. So they took Zeff's ship. But even without his ship, he could still be recognized in this seedy part of the universe. Who wouldn't know the name Caiden Vex? As such, he kept to a fancy suit, but a more flexible one should a fight break out. Over a plain white shirt he wore a blue collar shirt and then a fancy vest that had built in armorweave threads to protect him from knives and blasters. Over the suit he chose a tall overcoat to cover his weapons: throwing knives, a couple flash bang grenades, and most prominently his compound bow that folded up behind his back.

Walking into the cockpit he adjusted a commlink receiver over his ear which would be linked directly to Zeff should they get separated. He leaned over the chair and stared out at the glass window of the base coming into view. It was a beautiful sight, that much was sure. He then tossed a small glance to Zeff. Nothing sexier than a man in a suit. Especially one who knew how to dress as he did. Caiden sighed. It would never happen. No one but his personal slave --well and obviously the men he'd dated in the past who were contractually obligated not to speak of such things-- knew of Caiden's sexuality; he intended to keep it that way.

"Let's run by the plan once more..."

One did not need to be sensitive in the force to feel the presence in the room. Zeff was a man of presence, his mentor had been, and now Caiden was as well. It was a sign of potential and power. While some misconstrued it as ego and dominance it was rather a confidence and experienced state of mind. The Nagai did not look at Caiden as he peered out the large frontal viewport that faced the orbital station. He knew the three ring boss was a man of good taste. It was one of things that had interested him in the Shadow Syndicate in the first place. People seek out what they think they deserve and for Zeff he felt like keeping company that was on the same level as him even if he had to start at a lower rung.

The human did not ask to go over the plan even though it could be confused as a request. Indulging him, Zeff made adjustments to their approach as he responded. "We have options as well as the aid of surprise. The Blue Scars, as they call themselves, don't realize they're small fish in a big ocean. Their farms for the Tauria fruit are sustained on slave labour and that's how we can get close." He activated a hologram with intelligence he had gathered from his personal network. The tauria fruit, a delicacy and highly sought after across the galaxy by various species is worth a lot both legally and illegally. The Blue Scars have somehow overcome their myopic tendencies and learned that the Darlyn Boda environment is capable of producing said fruit. They have started to use the funds cultivated from the fruit distribution to move in on other trades like spice, arms and spirits.

"We can get in acting like slavers or buyers. We can also try to go in as slaves but I'd prefer to not do that." He rested the controls as the ship wound down. The hangar was abuzz with activity but nobody paid the gunship any mind. As far as they were concerned it was another thug with some big guns. "They use a large ranch house here..." he pointed on a map "...it's their local base of operations. We can either destroy it, or take it. It's up to you." Saying the last words he swiveled in his chair to face Caiden to see his decision.

Caiden looked upon the hologram and soaked in the knowledge from his teammate. As Zeff made the comment about getting in he'd reply, "No. Not a chance. Buyers is he simplest way. We've got the look, we've got the rep. No one will question us."

"They use a large ranch house here...it's their local base of operations. We can either destroy it, or take it. It's up to you."

"Something like that can't be decided right now. We have no idea what it really looks like it inside. I can take on their security myself, having you will help. But keeping it under our control is another question. We can head for that idea, but let's not through out the option of just cutting our losses and making sure no one else can come back for it."

Zeff nodded to the responses given and appreciated them. Some leaders wanted absolutes and no chance for error. But Caiden seemed like he was more pragmatic and realistic then that. While Zeff trusted in his intelligence gathering there were always unknown factors and something they could not have expected. A group of armored personnel carriers could be stationed around the ranch, they could have hired outside mercenaries to increase their security, the shipments could have been moved, additions to the structures could have been added. All of these could be things that would warp any rigid plan that relied to much on one thing.

It pleased him to not have to pretend being a slave again. He would be lying if he said he didn't mind it. He moved to the back of his ship and donned his kit, making a few alterations to look more like an enforcer for Caiden's slaves and interests rather than his usual killer appearance. A practiced eye would be able to tell he was lethal which didn't fit with their cover's line of interest. Shock boxing gloves with the restraints removed, his TS-15 blaster pistol, force forged knife, were the only overt armaments he had on him. The other equipment was usual but he wore a simple outfit that was made of scatter weave but otherwise would not stop a direct blaster bolt with any plates. He left his lightsabers and other heavier armaments on the ship. However one of his F105 hound drones would follow him as he descended from the platform. Waiting at the bottom Zeff wondered if they should bring along his protocol droid. At the bottom of the ramp he made sure there wasn't any unwanted attention directed towards them as they exited the craft. The coast seemed clear for now. It was time for them to proceed.

Caiden watched as Zeff made sure all his weapons were in place, and he would do the same just once more. Could never be too careful. Luckily for him there wasn't much to do for his weapons weren't necessarily complicated. It's not like a blade had a safety switch or would get jammed mid-fight. That was another reason Caiden never used blasters. Too unpredictable. The worst that could happen to him was one of his bow strings snapping. While it could happen, it wasn't entirely too likely to do so.

Once Zeff was finished the two would love off the ship and start heading for the inner parts of the base. Out of habit his eyes trained to the exits, how far away their ship was, and how many other ships in here looked capable of doing some destruction. He wasn't too worried about the actual aircrafts, but who owned them. The ones who looked like they had some heat to them were likely owned by someone who also had some muscle. Having studied the map beforehand he put the pieces together in his head and made sure to visualize all points of the base from where they were to where they were going. Not many people could stay so calm and focused while going about a mission, but Caiden wasn't an ordinary person.

Numerous individuals from numerous factions came to this location. Not all of them were part of the group that they were targeting though it would seem their presence was high here. Multiple powder blue decals were seen indicating either membership or relation to the Blue Scars. They needed to find a spokesperson to convince of their interests. Zeff was an acquisitionist and could play the part with little effort.

After moving through the station for several minutes he heard boisterous laughter. Turning his head he saw a Besalisk surrounded by a motly group of weequays and humans alike. They sat in a large section of an open-front eating establishment. All of them were festooned with the trappings of pirates as well as 'new money'. Zeff brought the group to Caiden's attention and gave him the opportunity to lead if he so wished. The Nagai could just act as an attendant or bodyguard in front of the hoodlums if that was the three ring's order.
