Crix brought The Highwind out of hyperspace, the elongated starlines snapping to place as the Corellian light freighter switched back to it's sublight engines. The Smuggler was impressed with how much smoother the transitions were since he'd upgraded to a military grade power core. The sound of armored boots behind him alerted him to Raz's arrival.

The Smuggler turned in his seat and smiled at her. "Just in time," he said as he leveled the nose of the ship to land on a planet view of Ord Mantell.

"We'll be on the ground in a few minutes," he hesitated a moment and then said, "Thanks for coming along Raz."

Crix wasn't very good at expressing his gratitude, but he hoped she knew how much her help meant to him. This mission wasn't anything out of their scope of practice. Back when he was her sidekick they did smash and grab hits like this all of the time, and he had a feeling this mission would feel like old times.

The Scoundrel set his ship down at the same spaceport he and Leah had escaped from a few months back and he smiled the memory of her flipping off The Dapper Devil made him laugh. Rusty had tipped them off about the favored chop shop run by the Azure Twilight Captain, Daz Beletoph. Their goal was to get in and out without leaving any trace of their presence on the site. Of course, Crix, planned to make it look like the shop went up in an "accidental" explosion. Best way to hide your tracks was to blow them up, right? Right.

Crix was clad in his Ranger Scout armor over his chest piece, he wore a rugged leather jacket, and around his hips, he wore his gunbelt. A newly acquired Quickdraw blaster rested on the right in a reverse holster and his DH-7 on the left in it's thigh holster. He tucked a couple charges into one of the pouches on his belt, then he slid his helmet on and tuned his comm to her frequency.

"Ready when you are boss," he said as he slung a leg over one of the two 15-A Locust Speeder Bikes.

Raz was still on edge since the possum incident. In fact, she was moodily not speaking to Crix for a span of time. It was a childish antic, but externally it resulted in a lot of him talking and her silently hiding behind her helmet. After a while, it became clear it wasn’t too different than their usual routine when they were in public and she had to play Ms. Serious Mando. This time it was for real, and she hadn’t forgiven him for dragging her through a literally tunnel of shit.

As he thanked her for coming along, she simply grunted in response. She couldn’t even fathom how long of a list of IOUs he had for her. Nevertheless, she still came along every time because it offered countless hours of entertainment. Without him being able to see her without the helmet, she could get away with the smiles and laughs without him calling her out on it.

After they landed, she walked out with him, thinking back to their operation, “So um, does this mean I can’t bring my PIPE?” It was a legitimate question. She wasn’t known for her discretion and ability to do sneaky things. Raz was more than a little amused he had asked her to come along on a mission like this. Nevertheless, she kept her PIPE on her for now.

She joined him in getting on the bike, letting him lead the way. Raz took in the sights as they moved closer to the shop, suddenly remembering something, “Wait, there are no possums involved this time, right?” The mild panic in her voice was unmistakable.

Crix frowned considering Raz's question as he examined the weapon.

"Bring it. I plan on blowing this place on the way out. The guy we're stealing from is a prick." He flashed the charges he had on the back of his swoop.

"Thinking about putting these in some discreet places to make it look "natural." A mischievous little smirk played on his lips as the excitement of their little adventure settled in. It'd been forever since they'd actually worked together, this was going to be awesome.

Crix knew he owed Raz. She'd been giving him the cold shoulder for a while, and he hoped this job would smooth that over. He'd missed her...

The Smuggler fired up his Swoop and took off. The familiar cityscape of Ord Mantell's capital passed by as they cruised the air traffic lanes at a leisure pace. He couldn't help but reminisce a little as he passed by a few construction sites he was pretty sure he'd caused. He suddenly craved a cigarette. Who was he to wreak havoc upon the people that lived here? Sure, in the moment he'd been able to justify his actions but now? He wasn't sure.

Crix began to slow the speeder as their destination came into view. Raz's voice caught his attention and he struggled to hide a snicker as he said, "Nah, just some punk criminals I had a run in with a while back." He turned to her, "Is that why you've been avoiding me?" He was teasing, but he knew he wasn't far off.

Azure Twilight was the same crime syndicate that Crix and Leah had run into months ago, the fact that they'd remained rather anonymous was concerning. Maybe he'd multitask a little on this mission, do a little recon for the rebellion, that'd make up for him stealing the charges he was going to use right? Right. He set the swoop down in a crappy back ally a few blocks from their target.

Crix scanned their surroundings for anyone paying them too much attention, but it looked like they were in the clear. "Ok, I can't guarantee there won't be a rat, back here," He warned with a little shrug, "But I promise I'll protect you." He joked with a little wink hidden behind his helmet.

Of course, the little look was one she'd seen a million times over their friendship so he was sure she'd know. Crix stuck to the alley's and covered passages ways as they picked their way through the labyrinth of seedy urbane streets. Hopefully, they wouldn't run across any Azure soldiers along the way.
