The hiss of Freyja’s lightsaber deactivating punctuated the end of their skirmish with the Hssiss. It was a momentary lull in the discord of the ziggurat. One broke with Freyja’s question, Karys looked to her as Sadowbane clicked back into it’s sheathe on his back.
“No, it was given to me by Azar.” He replied. “It is a bloodforged blade, it is just as much a part of him as I am.” He explained. “So long as it is in my possession, I will always be by his side and he mine.”
After they had walked a ways, Karys would ask his question and then listen to Freyja’s response. Her explanation of her people was vague and felt like it was an attempt to mirror his own people’s histories. It didn’t really matter if that was the case or not, Karys knew none could ever rival the might of the True Sith, the Pureblood Sith.
Karys was yet again drawn from his thoughts by Freyja’s question. He didn’t glance to her this time, instead he continued walking and was silent for a while. “Yes.” He replied finally. “I left my family behind when I fell in love with him.” He explained calmly. “I have never looked back.” Karys glanced down to her from the corner of his eye. “Perhaps one day you will be lucky enough to find the same.”
As they made it to the bottom of the stairs, Karys rose a hand to catch Freyja before she stepped on the floor. Karys quirked an eyebrow ridge as he gaze out at room before him. Ancient Sith were frozen in place on tiles, stuck in timelessness that had long stopped their hearts. His golden eyes looked to the floor and saw imagery etched onto the stone tiles. There four rows of four tiles, each row had a time locked Sith standing on at least one tile, eliminating a potential wrong answer.
