Ayomi hadn't thought about Feifi Candorus since the mission to Umbara. Their former apprentice had proven only to be a disappointment, a waste of time, too stubborn and prideful for her own good. The Tiefling hadn't even been sure she was still alive until they'd checked the registry of acolytes at the new Sith Academy on Korriban. Not to make amends or to see if the girl had grown, no; they suspected Feifi had something crucial to their new project.
The girl was the daughter of the deceased traitor Cremek Candorus, who'd been known to be one of Darth Raze's exalted. Whether he'd kept some kind of journal about his life or built a holocron Ayomi wasn't sure, but if he did there was no doubt he'd have left it to his daughter. Mandalorians were weak like that, always prioritizing family ties as some kind of sacred bond. Beyond any record of his experiences, or anything else Cremek might have made, Feifi had something possibly even more valuable: his blood. Cremek might be gone, but a path to understanding Raze's creations remained open through his spawn.
To that end, Ayomi had travelled to the new academy on Korriban and submitted an anonymous request to meet with the girl. All she'd be told by the instructors was that a champion was here to speak with her privately, in an unused training room where they wouldn't be bothered. Some time ago, the Tiefling might have relished the look on Feifi's face when she realized who the visitor was; now, though, they were only cold and indifferent. The acolyte herself was beneath Ayomi's interest, and she was only useful so long as she cooperated. If not?
Acolytes failed lethal challenges every day. Another name added to the list would be of no consequence to anyone.
