Families Discussion.

I'd prefer we not have too many. I was thinking there could be the major ones, and some families could be under the influence of other families or there being branch families. Arch will be one of them, and I'm guessing Mar and BN's will be too.

Nuruodo's been popular with Chiss writers, so we'll need to decide what to do with it.

Why not have the four ruling houses as the major ones with other families under their influence? Make use of the canonical establishment of houses and build up on it.

Csapala. Nuruodo. Inrokini. Sabosen.

Of those, Nuruodo is the most popular. True, they could be used as bases, but the problem arises that most of the people are in military and diplomacy, so Nuruodo would have the majority of the Chiss PCs, but the other families won't have much.

A valid point, the Nuruodo would eat up a vast chunk of the members. If I remember what I read from the Chiss write up, the Nuruodo grew greatly in influence when one of their number became the Imperator right? So what if they kind of took over the ascendancy, supervising all the houses with another house having replaced them as the forth ruling house and members of the Nuruodo being in all facets of the Ascendancy. That way the Nuruodos are distributed between the other houses and people get to make Nuruodo members while still being members of other families.

Also I had a question about the Chiss force sensitives (those of chiss specise), how many are there? We could also have a family, small and weak in resources, that still follows the old Chiss ideas of non-aggression and believes that Thrawn was a blemish on their name and not a hero as everyone in the present timeline was made to believe?

That could work. For FS, we have about the same rate as the rest of the galaxy. We have our own Force sect, the Immortal Order. And sure, we could have a peaceful family.

I know about the Immortals, just wanted to know what kind of numbers they had. If one of the families had ties with them then they coud potentially have enough power to stand up to the Nuruodo.
