"You see that woman? She is your daughter, your mother, your sister. She is your lover, your friend, and when she smiles; it's like the sun has risen for a new day. When she frowns, it's like the storm clouds have gathered. Rarest of all, when she feels hope burning in her chest; all of Tae'Sha hopes with her. She is goddess."[/color]
Name: Faela Kraes
Pronunciation: <Fay-lah Kray-j>
Faction: Templars of Sha
Rank: Seer
Credits: 1,000
Force Sensitive: Yes

"Have you seen my hair today? I've been trying to twist it in warming coils for hours, and all it does is frizz up! Oh, and lets not even begin the subject of how my skin has gone too pale, my eyes are duller than normal, my nose is far too big, and my-- What do you mean that wasn't what you meant by 'How was your day?'! "

Species: Tae
Age: 38
Gender: Female
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 100 lbs
Build: As with many of the Tae, she is not very muscular; something that has only been underlined by years of learning the Art, as well as its wear and tear on her body. She is lithe, and small; almost fae in appearance.
Eyes: Eyes like rippling water carry cerulean and sapphire vibrance from the pupil outwards. If one were to look directly into her eyes, it would be like staring down into the ocean; complete with its many emotions. Whether she's placid and docile, or in the heat of her rage, her eyes always betray either tranquility, or the impending hurricane of her wrath.
Hair: In a hue caught between flame and many red-tinted woods; the color of her hair can usually be described as red or reddish-brown. Kept no shorter than her waist, she rarely wears it up, and knows the herbs all too well to care for it; and keep it soft.
Skin: Her flesh is like the full moon in color; being pale and smooth, but with a warmth that the luna could never achieve.
Distinguishing Marks: When she is using the Art, she frequently uses unneeded ritualistic gestures.

P o w e r
"Here, hold this. I need my hands free to strangle you."
-Faela to a student

Strength: 3/10 - The woman only uses her physical body as much as she needs to, relying heavily upon the Art to sustain her and her daily functions. As such, she has little muscle tone, and likely couldn't lift something that was larger than her own bodyweight; if that.
Dexterity: 5/10 - While not fast by any means, on foot; she still maintains a certan grace that some believe to be influenced by the power of the Art.
Constitution: 7/10 - She has fairly good health; something that has been toned into her body from almost excessive use of the Art. She has been on the brink of death; and come back, which gives her a somewhat quirky health.
Intelligence: 9/10 - A very intelligent woman, Faela tends to also be very gifted when it comes to understanding both people and their motivations. Extensive study has sharpened her wit and intelect into a fine blade.
Wisdom: 8/10 - Generaly not tapping into the core of her wisdom, the woman feigns an almost shallow personality, but if one were to speak with her for any given period of time, they would quickly realize the depth of the persona.
Charisma: 5/10 - She's the type that people either love or hate. She has an attitude and a fiery personality, mixed with a sharp tongue. She can either get under one's skin, or make a fast, loyal friend.
Gifts of the Art:
Generally speaking, there is little that Faela can't accomplish with her understanding of the Art. However, she is well aware of her limitations within the scope of her power, and so she tends to stick to diluted uses of the Art; only going so far as to use raw energy when she needs to make an extreme point.

With a explosive capability to unleash a torrent of power that would nearly shake a continent, he main focus is usually on minimalization. Though she frequently uses the Art; it is most often minute in nature.
Weapon and Fighting Style: Armed with a longcaster that she straps over her back, and what ammounts to a primitive, force imbued, daggertail made from cortosis weave, she uses the Art as if it were another weapon in her arsenal.
Strengths: Beauty, grace, power, intellect, wisdom.
Weaknesses: A fiery personality, a too quick tongue, a sometimes impetuous outlook.

"I think that a better question would be 'What doesn't she have weasled away in those skirts of hers?'."

Gear: A standard communicator, a holographic compas and map, a bag to carry herbs, plants and seeds, small range medical equiptment.
Clothing: She tends to wear long flowing dresses unless she is on call for a mission; and then she keeps it simple with snug pants and tops that are easy to move in and allow her to use her weaponry if needed.
Weapons: Longcaster and dagger tail.
Ship: No, she rarely leaves Tae, and when she does; she takes one of the vessels owned by the Templars.
Pets: An oversized catarpillar (Roughtly as long and thick as her forearm) that makes high pitched chirping sounds; it is cyan and verdant in color with splashes of yellow; eyes that change color constantly. She calls 'him' Chorgy.

"What can I say; when she's on, she's on and it's a beautiful thing. But Mother be praised, when she's down; she'd like to drag hell out with her, clawing her way back up."

The key thing to remember when dealing with Faela is that the person she displays on the outside is rarely the one that truly lays beneath the surface. Indeed, as a shell, she wears her vanity and her violence. She holds her own abraisive nature and her coarse personality close, most especially when she is dealing with students. When she needs to, she can be the epitome of regal; albeit begrudingly so. She is not one for formality, but she can play the part. The person who lays beneath is a wealth of knowledge, intelligent comprehension, and wisdom that seems almost out of place for someone as young as she professes to be.

Often, she appears to be very outgoing, somewhat brash, quick to anger, but also quick to forgive. She is more likely to be kind to someone she doesn't know than someone she knows well; and actually appears to be the hardest on those that she is the closest to. However, despite the appearances, she is a very caring soul. She is a self professed elitist and an egalitarian; believing that everyone is equal, but that she must surround herself with those who are 'more equal' than others. Consequently, she is constantly on the move, and always pushing towards the business side of the Templars.

She is the type of personality that demands results, and if she sees something not being done, she will either fill the role herself or very clearly designate someone to to the job. Not shy, nor timid, she is one of the least easily intimidated people in existence and though much of what she does is for show; her stubborn attitude is completely genuine.

"I'm a survivor. Like a kriffing bug; you can try to crusth the life out of me, but my legs just keep kickin."
-Faela

Born to wealthy Tae merchants who did a great deal of trade between other woldly technologists and Tae farmers, Faela was never for want in her life. Being naturally gifted in the Art, she studied extensively; but there was never anything that set her appart from her peers save for her own ingenuity and grace. However, when she one day woke in terror after a dream that pertained to a neighboring city; her parents took the portents as a sign that she was to be far more powerful within the Art than she believed.

Submitting her to the care of an underground group of 'specialists' who worked with those that could not manipulate the Art, the Kraes merchants saught to force more of the potent dreams from their daughter, hoping that it would lead them to the fame that their wealth denied them. Of course, the family never thought to check the tactics that the covert school used; and so early in her teens, the young Faela was quite literally tortured to the brink of her sanity.

Finally lashing out; the young woman destroyed the distasteful school after turning the entire place, people included, into a giant glass monument. Little is known of what happened after that point, though the crimes were never discovered; it is presumed that she emancipated herself from her relatives and joined the Templars as a Mancer Guard.

Active in duty for years, she was a good soldier who quickly and efficiently worked, until a particular mission where she was to look into certain happenings, involving communication loss, in a border city that was far out of the way even for the Templar's reach. When she began to investigate; Faela found that the small city had been taken by raiders, men from within its population that demanded more than the other villagers were willing to offer. The place was quite literally dead from the standoff.

In a supreme act of mourning, Faela sunk the entire city into the ground as if she were forming a fault in the middle of a tectonic plate for the location to just disappear into. Afterwards, she reclosed the gaping chasm so that it was as if the place had never existed. The extreme use of the Art left her drained nearly to the point of death. Unable to do so much as move, she was narrowly saved by a follow up party.

After regaining back her health, the woman devoted herself to training young men and women who wished to join the Templars; only occasionally taking on missions.

I think that the proper amount of cliche can add spice to anyone's personality, but too much makes for a dullard.

If you're interested in killing one of my characters, feel free to PM me about it, and we can talk >.>
