Imperial Space, 1:25pm
Space was a void of endless expanse, where distant stars illuminated eternal shadow. Sometimes, Sol would peer at it through the port of his Interceptor, and wonder about what was beyond. When the edges were reached within a graveyard of fallen suns turned to coiling darkness, would there be any stars left? Or would it be only a sea of ink, the end of all known things. No monstrous horrors. No starlight to guide the path. Only the maddening hum of surrounding black holes, too deep to hear, but felt throughout the body. Silence, and the eerie sensation that you would be totally, and irrevocably, alone.

Alone in the endless dark.

Sol draws his gaze from his thoughts as he banks toward his destination, a ship that rested like a shadow against the outline of a distant moon. It was amusing enough, how this fateful meeting started. A nexu cub. Sol had never really considered himself a pet person, but he supposed he might be inclined to become one. The nexu was a fierce animal, and it would make a fine companion for as long as he could keep it away from lightsabers. And an assortment of other weaponry too, the Kel Dor supposed. It would be a shame to lose the thing after raising and bonding with it. But that was still the future, and there was no use annoying himself about it now. He raises a claw to his Interceptor's console, and promptly notifies the much larger vessel of his arrival. Hopefully, someone would be there to receive his communications before he got shot out of the void.

For nearly a week, the Fist of Mordo had hung in geostationary orbit around the world in an early silence. The Mordo-class was picked out from the inky darkness of space owing to the large red 'M's on its side, a slight red glow on the top of its central 'orb' indicating the presence of a control bridge. It was on this bridge that Mordo stood, glowing at nothing in particular from behind his mask, his arms folded across his chest as he ran through the plans of his 'Gravitational Hypercannon' for the fifth time in the past hour.

In truth, the concept was straightforward, all one had to do was -

Beep, Beep Beep.

Mordo snapped out of his thoughts as he irately responded to a comm-call from one of the vessel's crew. "Speak."

"Lord Mordo, we are discovered, a Sith interceptor is on the approach and is hailing us."

"Destroy them before they send word of our loc -" Mordo paused. Maybe he was wrong to immediately order the ship's obliteration, unaware as he was of its intention? "No. Open transmission to that ship at once." he gave the order and soon spoke directly to the interceptor's pilot.

"This is L -" he paused again, perhaps best to adopt a less hostile tone? "Doctor Mordo. State your intent."

Oh, he doesn't like this. Doesn't like being a sitting duck in the middle of space, while a highly weaponized, and very much unfriendly, ship looms like a dreadful shadow ahead. This was no Imperial, no Sith. Sol was taking a risk, and the sooner he got onboard, the better. The Kel Dor was not one to enjoy the sensation of vulnerability. His console lights up with a response, and he almost breathes out in relief that his signal had been received. Doctor Mordo. A curious name for a curious individual. The Kel Dor speaks smoothly in reply.

"I am Sol Kenuk. I request permission to dock." The Sith sees little reason to be disrespectful, so his tone is as polite as one might expect from a stranger. "I'm here for the nexu cub." Sol adds, and he hopes that he hadn't just hailed the wrong and very much not Imperial ship. That would be an entirely awkward situation, but probably not one that he would live to regret.
