A planet that once contained a thriving Jedi temple long abandoned and in decay has lately been used by a small fleet of pirates as their base of operations. General Drayton has decided that it is time to bring the planet and temple into the folds of the Galactic Alliance and will personally be leading the mission. The mission is a simple one take control of the land and the sky/space to claim the planet. Let's give these pirates their eviction notice and make sure they get the message loud and clear, their presence is no longer tolerated.

The team on the objective of the ground is to clear out the Jedi Temple of all pirates. May the force be with us.

Exiting the Antelope-Class Shuttle that brought him and two Jedi to the surface of Vrogas Van. Tycho looked around at the empty landscape. He had no idea why the Jedi decided to build a temple here of all places but seeing as it is important to the Jedi it is also important to the Alliance. So the General decided to bring the planet into the folds of the GA. Before they can do so though they need to clear out the temple of all the pirates that have been using the run-down temple as a base for their illegal activities. The man is certainly not looking forward to seeing what damage the pirates have done to the temple, he is certain the young Jedi and rebel don't want to either.


Clearing his throat as he tried to clear the sand that managed to get to the back of his throat, the man turned to his two comrades, "Alright. We are here to give the pirates using the base their eviction notice. Let's make sure they get the message loud and clear that we are here to take the time back and we are not leaving until we have it. Is that clear?" The General will ask before slipping his helmet on then proceeded to lead the way. It was a bit of a walk before they reached an outcrop of rocks and massive boulders that got them close enough to the entrance of the temple but out of view of anyone who may be on guard duty. It will be the perfect setting to ambush any guards currently guarding the entrance.


The General carefully peeked around the boulder he was using for cover, his hand tightly gripping his favorite rifle as he looked to the temple entrance. He was only able to count three pirates guarding the entrance to the temple. Not too bad but if the three of them do not take out the guards without raising the alarm there is no telling what will happen besides them having a base full of pirates descending on the three of them. Taking a deep breath he looked to the two jedi, "Three guards. Could be worse. But we need to take them out carefully so we can get the drop on the pirates inside the temple. Pick your target and take them out. We will attack together to ensure we will take them out at the same time. That will better our odds of not raising the alarm. Agreed?" He looked between the two of them making sure they got what he is telling them.

[Zex Vric]

Coming out of the shuttle alongside the general and a jedi was Zex, wearing one of his fancy, yet useful, suits with him, a blaster and his wrench as the provisional melee weapon, Zex didn't understand why the jedi wanted the temple back, scratch that, he just didn't understand jedi, the Nautolan bet it probably had to do with force shenanigans but didn't care much about it, he cared more about the pirates inside them, Zex didn't like pirates, as an ex-gangster, the Nautolan saw them as dishonorable, rude people that did really horrible stuff from time to time, people that the Nautolan didn't mind wacking with a blunt object for a few minutes, it would be his pleasure to do the galaxy a favor and get rid of them.

"Loud and clear boss, let's take out the galaxy's trash" Zex commented, drawing his blaster and following Tycho behind the rocks, three targets, one for each one of them, which made things a little easier "Dibs on the one in the middle" Zex whispered, letting them know who they didn't need to shoot, once they were ready, the Nautolan would shoot and the blaster bolt would hit the target's chest at the same time the others took care of their own targets. However, the pirate that got hit by his bolt would unfortunately shoot his own blaster as a reaction before dropping dead, this would unfortunately add a little more noise and increase the chance someone would hear what was happening outside.

Tycho held his breath as the pirate that Zex shot let loose a bolt from his rifle as he collapsed to the ground dead. The commotion from that will be enough to alert the pirates inside the temple. To prevent the other two guards from raising the alarm, the General raised his rifle and fired four bolts, two at the two remaining guards. It may be a bit extreme the fire that many bolts but the criminal wanted to make sure the two guards are taken out. Which will happen as the bolts successfully hit both of their targets.

As soon as the two remaining guards were taken out the man quickly started heading towards the entrance to the temple, "Quickly, let's move!" He will tell the other two. They needed to get into the temple and start taking out the pirates. Who would have been alerted by the commotion from the guard that Zex shot not exactly going out quietly. But when the rebels get to the temple entrance they will find four pirates waiting for them. The General was quick to duck behind one of the partially standing statues to shield himself from the bolts that will come flying at them, "Kriff.. Too late. Just got to take them out." The General said through gritted teeth as he switched his Westar for his Scatterblaster. The man hoped that no more will be coming to the scene of where the fight is beginning to breakout at.

[Zex Vric]

Zex let out a sigh after the man he shot pulled the trigger as a reaction to almost immediate death, that was going to complicate things quite a bit "Next time I am aiming for the head" The Nautolan muttered to himself, following Tycho into the temple, hoping the blaster bolts didn't alert the enemy, but, unfortunately, he would find that they did, indeed, alert four of the pirates that were indeed the temple after almost getting his head blasted to pieces by one of them before jumping behind one statue that was on the other side of the entrance, using it as a cover.

A shootout started, the pirates shooting at the general and the rebel, so many bolts flying by that the Nautolan couldn't even get his head out of cover at first. After a couple of seconds, the Nautolan managed to get his head out of cover and land a headshot on one of the pirates, taking an enemy out of the fight. Unfortunately, there was a reason he managed to get out of cover without being shot at, that being the other pirate that was shooting at him taking some time to take out a concussion grenade and throw it at him. The Nautolan would be able to barely react to it, quickly kicking it away from him, the grenade would detonate four meters, which, while not as disorienting as one of those exploding right next to him, was still blinding and deafening, even so for a moment, Zex wouldn't perform so well in combat for a moment

Tycho remained ducked down behind the statue as the volley of blaster fire continued. His partner will barely succeed as he attempted to bring the attack to a stop. Taking out one of the pirates only to be affected by the concussion grenade one of the other pirates. Things seem to be going downhill. But they have to press on if they are going to take what should be in the folds of the GA.

Luckily the General will not be affected by the grenade as he was behind the protective cover of the statue, as well as the grenade being a considerable distance away.

With the blaster fire slowing down a bit Tycho stepped out from his cover. Firing two bolts at one pirate who had failed to take cover as he reloaded his rifle. Then he took out another with a single blaster bolt to the skull. He will then duck behind cover again as the single remaining pirate started shooting at him.

With the pirate's attention focused on the General. Tycho's partner should be able to take him out easily.

Usually, Zex would have been able to shoot the last pirate down easily normally, however, being disoriented by the concussion grenade earlier, the Nautolan wouldn't be able to finish the fight, one hand in his head to try and fight the headache that he had because of the grenade while aiming at the pirate in order to take the shot with an expression of anger and annoyance on his face, pulling the trigger twice and narrowly failing to hit him, the pirate would take aim and return the favor with better results, however.

The pirate was using a light repeater, being it one of the reasons they had so much trouble getting out of cover, but also the reason Zex wasn't out of commission yet, seeing how the pirate would be able to hit Zex twice before getting himself back into cover, one of the bolts hitting the chest, the other hitting near the stomach, both places covered by armor thankfully. Zex would get behind his cover after that, grimacing because of the pain and muttering various insults under his breath, but at least now Tycho could finish the bastard off.

Tycho could not fight back the wince as he saw Zex take two bolts while trying to take out the single remaining pirate that they are facing. As the other rebel ducked back behind his cover the General stepped out of his source of protection and put three bolts into the pirate's chest. The person's body buckled and collapsed to the floor. Now the two rebels are clear to move deeper into the temple. The criminal moved over to his comrade, holding out a small container of Kolto, while Zex's armor did protect him, there is most likely damage that the other rebel has sustained, "Here. Use this. It is not much but it will help until we get you to the medical room on the Valhala." Tycho will say as he handed the other rebel the small container.

With that the criminal stepped out from the shelter of the statue to stand guard as Zex used the Kolto… or not if the rebel chose not to use it. It was just an offer after all.

When the rebels started moving again, they will find the rest of the temple was clear of any pirates. That was until they got closer to the council chambers where Jedi Masters would have met at in the past. The General cursed under his breath as he ducked back behind the corner as two pirates started firing in the direction of the two rebels. Peeking around the corner the man saw that while two stayed put to hold the rebels off with their blaster fire, three went into the chambers. When those three got into the room the other two followed.

The General pondered on what to do. While the doors were left wide open, giving the two rebels a way to take out the five pirates currently standing firm in the council chamber, it was too risky to just jump out and blast away. That will just get one or both of them killed. Hopefully the pirates will be too stupid to think of taking shelter behind the doorway, leaving them wide open for the rebels to pick them off when they find the opportunity to attack them.

Zex would take the Kolto Tycho handed to him, but he wouldn't use it, letting out a smile and trying to hide the pain from the general even if it was noticeable that he was, indeed, hurt, his hands shaking for a moment after the shots until the Nautolan fully managed to get them under control "Don't worry, this but a flesh wound, I'll save the kolto for later, we might need it" Zex said, following the general to the chambers.

The enemy would take cover sooner or later, that was something Zex knew, so, while it was risky, they had to move quickly. Without thinking twice, the Nautolan would use his jump boots to get out of their current cover and quickly move to another one that was closer to the pirates, all while going fast enough to dodge any shots from the five pirates, after that, Zex would begin shooting once again as quick as possible, before even fully landing, none of the shots would hit, unfortunately, and the pirates would start shooting at him, forcing him to hunker down behind cover. The pirates would soon start moving into cover, giving Tycho one chance to deal as much damage as possible before they became harder targets now that they were out of cover and focusing on the Nautolan.

Tycho did make a move to try to do as much damage as he could before the pirates made it to a good defensive position. Stepping out of his cover the General was about to open fire when a couple of the pirates spotted him stepping out from his cover. Immediately the two pirates opened fire on the criminal before he could fire off a single bolt.

The General was forced to take cover, one bolt from the pirates scraped along the armor plating on his right bicep. The man cursed under his breath as he watched the pirates make it to sheltered positions. Making it harder to take them out.

The rebel officer pondered on what to do next. They will have to first try to draw them out of their defenses. Then take them out. That will require some good teamwork.

[Zex Vric]

The pirates managed to get safely behind cover in spite of their efforts, making the Nautolan a bit angrier that he was already, he felt like he didn't get anything done properly, it was his shot that alerted the other pirates, it was his attempt at shooting the enemy after being disoriented that got him injured, and now the enemy was too well covered to be hit from where they were. Zex gritted his teeth, clenched his fist and whiteknuckled his blaster "Boss...be ready to fire"

That was the only thing the Nautolan said before sprinting forwards, completely without cover, something that his partner probably wouldn't understand and think as a stupid idea, something too risky, he was probably right, but while the general had experience, Zex was young, and like many of his age, he was more than willing to play things rather unsafely. The Nautolan would surprisingly be able to get closer a few meters before the pirates finally realized that he was, indeed, running towards them, it would make most of them get out of cover and try to take a shot at him, the Nautolan would fortunately dive to the side before any of them landed on him, rolling and then getting on one knee to aim and shoot at one of them, the one that was also aiming at Zex.

Three blaster bolts would fly, two towards the pirate's chest, one towards the Nautolan´s head. The pirate would be taken out, but Zex, without thinking and as a response, raised his left arm to cover his head, the bolt hitting where his gauntlet was instead of the head. Zex would inmediately run to the cover that was closest to him before the rest of the pirates managed to land a good hit on him. His body so full of adrenaline he didn't even feel the pain that would come from a medium blaster bolt hitting through armor, instead the Nautolan would only feel numbness from his hand, not being able to use it properly, but he only needed one hand to fire his blaster.

Tycho was caught off guard by the new recruit's sudden charge towards the position of the pirates that had now moved to defensive positions that will make it difficult for the two rebels to take them out. The General knew better than to charge head on, instead choosing to wait to pick them off as they come out of cover or to think up a plan to take them out. But it is clear that Zex is so new to the concept of combat that he is not thinking such things. Something that could get the young rebel killed if he isn't careful.

Worried about the safety of the other rebel he got out of his own cover yelling, "Zex, wait!" He spotted one pirate coming out of his cover, but his comrade took that pirate out. Now the criminal did spot another pirate come out of his cover. The General moved his own rifle to aim at the pirate that had just come out of cover, but he was not quick enough to get any shots off. Well he did but they will completely miss their target as Tycho fell to the ground when the two bolts that the pirate fired slammed into his left hip.

Groaning the General stayed down as placed a hand over the wound, gritting his teeth as the man tried to fight through the pain so he can see that the mission is brought to a successful end. So to not give the pirates a too easy of a target, the man crawled over to a statue, purposely knocking it over to provide himself with cover seeing he will be having a hard time getting to his feet for a moment or two.

"Force dammit..." The Nautolan said as he noticed that Tycho had been hit in a very bad spot, the pirates were really good and in a very nice position, neither of the rebels had anything to force them to move from their cover like grenades and they were both really hurt. There was no way they could win the shootout the way they were doing things now, it was time for the Nautolan to take again another risk, if Zex was good at anything, it was fighting in an unorthodox way "All right...just like in the streets back in Nar Shaddaa" Zex whispered to himself, holstering his blaster and pulling from his suit a cosmowrench he always carried around.

"Lets go!" Zex screamed to psych himself up, activating his jump boots and going straight towards the enemy, landing besides two of the pirates that were taking cover on one side of the door. Zex would quickly hit the one closest to him with the wrench right in the face, stunning him long enough to finish him off with a kick in the neck with his hidden blade. The other one would try and shoot at the Nautolan but he would be able to redirect the blaster away from him with the wrench, followed by a hit in the gut. After that, Zex would get behind him and put his wrench on his neck, starting to strangle him and also straighten him up while moving with him towards cover behind the other two pirates. The pirate would quickly be killed by his own comrades who attempted to finish Zex, who would still move with the lifeless body for a meter of two before dropping it and jumping behind cover.

"Tycho, NOW!" Zex would scream while drawing his blaster out, informing Tycho that he two remaining pirates were out of their current position into another one that would protect them from the Nautolan, this was the best chance they had to take care of the remaining two.

Behind his source of cover from any bolts that may come his way as the fight continued on, General Draykon struggled to get himself to a good bearing on his feet due to his left leg no longer being able to support his weight due to the injury he had sustained a moment ago. But the man didn't give up to keep trying. After a few attempts the criminal succeeded in getting himself settled against the statue he was using for cover in a way that will allow him to pick off any pirates that foolishly show themselves. The man had no way to force the pirates out of their cover in regards to explosives nor is he now able to charge head on into them to draw them out. So he is forced to wait for an opportunity to attack from his cover and makeshift support.

So Tycho helplessly watched as his partner; Zex went onto the attack again. Jumping between the two pirates with the aid of his jump boots, the man was honestly impressed with how easily the other rebel was able to take out the two pirates, seeming to use the body of the second as a meat shield to protect himself from the last two remaining pirates that came out to attack.

Tycho knows that this is his one chance to take out the two pirates before they injure his comrade anymore than what he already is. Or worse. With his rifle already raised the General only had to adjust his aim a tad to point the muzzle of his rifle to the first of the two remaining pirates. To ensure that the first pirate will be taken out, as well as to take the focus of the second off of Zex, the criminal fired off three shots. All aimed at the first of the two. Two will hit their target while the third missed, slamming into the wall at the opposite end of the council chamber. It will do as the General had planned, with the remaining pirate turning his attention away from the other rebel and towards Tycho.

But before the pirate could get any shots off, the criminal put a single bolt into the pirate's skull. With that the temple was clear of all hostiles. The man could not help the pained sigh of relief as he removed his helmet. This had been a very trying mission but now they have control of the ground. As he stood there the man will get a coded message on his datapad, signaled with a quiet beep. The General took the time to read it. Not only had they got control of the ground, but also of the space above the planet. The system is theirs. Which he will announce as much to Zex as he sent a coded message through his comm to the fleet now in orbit to be passed on to the Faction Leader, "Send word to Master Arda that we have control of Vrogas Vas." He will say then put the device away. With the message soldiers will make their way down to the planet to take full control of the rundown Jedi Temple.
