The grotesque nature of Zubin's death, a trademark of one of the gangs on Borgo Prime called the Ravagers, and the fact it took place on one of the docks, started a cold war within the shadowport. The merchants and guilds that had operated what legitimate businesses the station had were enraged; the peace had been disturbed, and with the evidence that had been planted, corruption that ran through high officials had been exposed. Ironically, the man that had been killed actually hadn't been affiliated with the gangs, which made his death all that more shocking, and the fabricated evidence by Nine also ensured its acceptance.
The silent and manmade chaos had been the signal for the emergence of phase two, which Five constructed and required more of his tongue than his blade. Seated at a corner booth of a diner named "The Copper Can," he waited for his contact that would help him establish a dominant presence for the Empire, but within the shadows. There was little reason the diner had been chosen except for the sign that had been plastered on the large window out front: "BEST PIE IN THE SECTOR!!" A plate of that very peach pie was in front of him, and when he took his first bite, he made a somewhat shocked face because it actually wasn't that bad.
His waitress came to the table after a few moments, a questioning look on her face as she asked, "What did you think, Mr. Knight?" Five offered her a smile back before replying, "Excellent, just like the service." She smiled back with a playful chuckle, appreciative of the compliment as most of the customers and residents were tense from the war. After she left to address another customer, he checked the chrono on his wrist before he leaned back against the booth with one arm stretched along the spine, completely relaxed. It would only be a few moments before his contact arrived.
