Despite only just beginning her position with Apex, Jayna wasted no time whatsoever - immediately working towards the recruitment discussed with Arla. Her own political ambitions far surpassed the mercenary company, but their cooperation was something that would undoubtedly benefit her in the future. Apex was owned and operated by a member of the Thorne family, and furthering their influence within the Galaxy would always be a priority for Jayna.

The Heiress had opted for an up-scale cafe on the Galactica, reserving the floor for herself and Aden. The reputation of the Freelancer was legendary across the Galaxy - and her own father had worked with the man years ago. He was a prime candidate to begin the aerial division of Apex, and it placed his acquisition high on her to-do list.

She was dressed for the occasion - sporting a white button-down blouse that was tucked into slim dress pants. Her dark hair was pulled into a loose bun, while an expensive chrono glittered on her wrist. The Thorne Heiress was considerably less concerned with her own security on the Space Station, but nevertheless kept a Blackwell Droid a few paces away from their table. Closer, was the familiar visage of hee protocol droid.

“Miss Thorne,” It’s voice echoed, briefly capturing Jayna’s gaze. “I’ve been informed that Mr. Archer has just arrived.”

The Galactica is a very nice place. It's very nice looking, easy on the eyes. It's in space, on the move constantly, much like the spacer himself. The artificial air is great. And if one looks up, they could see the stars in space. If Aden ever wants to settle down to one place, it would be here he thought. He wonders if this place has any good starship parts on the Arms.

But that would be a matter for another time, as the freelance pilot has an appointment with one Jayna Thorne. And Aden had to make sure, it's the daughter of the ISC President. They are a powerful family, not one to be trifled with. But however, this is probably a great opportunity.

Aden was never one to dress up, but he had a feeling it would be prudent to look good. To that end, he wore a nice white button-up shirt, a nice space-leather flight jacket., nice pants and the likes. His hair was also combed and neat as well.

After checking into the cafe where him and Ms Thorne are to meet, he would ushered to where she is at, he can see her and her droid attendants.

The space would then go over there. "Hello there, Miss Thorne. Nice to meet you." he said, nodding and smiling. Then he would slide into the seat opposite of the heiress.

Jayna only had to wait a few minutes before Aden walked into their reserved section - prompting the Thorne Heiress to rise from her feet. There was no mistaking exactly who she was - her towering height and silver eyes reminiscent of the President known Galaxy-wide.

“Mr. Archer,” She began, extending a hand to firmly shake the pilot’s own.”Thank you for coming. I hope you find Galactica’s accommodations to be adequate.”

Once the pilot found his seat, Jayna gradually eased into her own - knitting both hands together on the table. A protocol droid quickly brought refreshments for them both, and Jayna waited until Aden had something to drink before she continued.

“If it is the same to you, I will not waste time,” She said simply. “I understand you have worked with both of my fathers in the past,” The Heiress began, “And your reputation as a pilot is known Galaxy wide.”

“Naturally, Apex would like to hire you as a full-time contractor. Our organization is expanding yo encompass its own aerial wing, and I believe that your skillset would be well utilized.”

"The Galactica is impressive" he looked at the surroundings again. It's pristine, easy on the eyes, in space, has a view of space, and great air quality. What's not to love.

After Aden was seated and the refreshments appeared, Aden helped himself to some iced water. And from there the heiress didn't waste time, which Aden appreciated. Time is money after all. Apex.

Aden has heard a lot about them, they are quickly becoming a powerhouse. They are growing, people want them. They are skilled, are gaining assets, and well-funded. A full-time contractor. Aden already freelances for jobs and lends his piloting skills among anything for credits. Apex does jobs it wants for credits as well. The spacer stays neutral, doing stuff for any faction. And Apex does the same. They operate similar, so it would be a natural choice. Aden did make it a point not to join any of the factions or group, keeping himself neutral.

But, this was an opportunity. Aden has contemplated settling down, not being constantly on the move anymore. And then he would be working with a certain group of people regularly, maybe move beyond just sustaining himself moving through space.

"You flatter me" Aden smiled, he didn't think he had it in him to be known across the galaxy.he echoed. Apex is growing nicely if they are looking to expand into aerial/space combat.

"Apex eh?" he echoed, he would then take a swig of his water. It's tempting, he thought about the possibilities. "If join up with Apex full-time, would I still be able to do independent freelance gigs on my own time? If doesn't conflict with the group's interests or commitments of course." Aden would still like to maintain a no-small amount of freedom if he joins up with Apex. But otherwise, Aden thinks that he is inclined to join.

Though she wasn’t expressive by nature, Jayna could barely conceal the smile that threatened to tug at her lips. The Heiress knew that Apex - successful and on the rise - was appealing to most people these days. The pilot had much to offer their organization, and perhaps more for Jayna if it marked her first real contribution to their efforts.

“Naturally.” She said simply. “A full-time contract with Apex wouldn’t prevent you from taking on freelance work on your own time - so long as you remain committed to a non-competition clause, and agree to refrain from jobs that would put you in first conflict with the organization.” There were many mercenary companies in the Galaxy. It simply wouldn’t do for an Apex contractor to be working for a rival, or finding themselves on the opposite side of a conflict.

There was no point in discussing what would occur in the event of a breached contract.

“Your employment with Apex will come with additional benefits. Suitable lodging here on The Galactica, in addition to upkeep and maintenance for any weapons or starships within your possession.”

Aden nodded as he was satisfied with the responses. Working against Apex's interests being out of the question isn't questionable, but it's good to know he's not locked into only Apex jobs, he can do his own freelancing shtick otherwise. The bonus of lodging on this fine space station as his upkeep for his assets and gear being taking care of.

Taking one last swig of his water, he would then set it down. "I'm in" he said. He's going to get perks, money, jobs, as well as lodging, upkeep taken care of. He's going to have it good. He's not going to draw this out, as he is now satisified.

So what's next, does he need to sign a contract on on the dotted line?

Jayna could’ve guessed what his answer would be. It was the logical choice - the one that provided Aden with obvious benefits and mutual gain for the both of them. Nevertheless, the Heiress couldn’t help the smirk that worked its away happily across her expression. It was a rare smile, for a woman who so often inherited the deadpan of her infamous father.

“Wonderful.” She said simply.

With the snap of her fingers, Jayna flagged down a protocol droid - who proceeded to offer a datapad to the mercenary. It was the full contract with all the terms that had been discussed - edits made in real time as negotiations were had. She wanted to sign him as quickly as possible.

“It really is that easy.”

Aden would smirk while taking the datapad in hand. After quickly scanning and skimming terms and conditions (who signs contracts blindly?) and taking no issue with the content. With a few strokes of his finger, he would put his signature on the datapad. And after that, he would pass the datapad over to the droid so it can take it to the heiress.

"Alright, there's my autograph. Is there anything else we need to discuss?"

He would ask just in case. But one thing is for sure, now that he's sign the contracted, he's with Apex now.
