As a Jedi Knight, Ero Roon served not only the Jedi Order, but the Galactic Alliance as well. In service to the Jedi, Roon was an accomplished archivist; studying and recording the history as it came to pass. As a member of the Galactic Alliance, Ero had become a trusted confidant for his homeworld's senator as well as a friend to the military, often assisting in their missions on a regular basis. When the Jedi Temple on Coruscant was bombed, it left a gash in Jedi leadership that needed to be mended. In the bombing's wake, those who were left were forced advance some of its members in a short period of time. Among those who were considered, was Jedi Knight Ero Roon. He declined the opportunity, believing himself not ready for the responsibility.
In a last stitch effort to defend the evacuation zones, Ero chose to retreat his forces within the structure itself, encouraging them to fight so that others may live. Guided by his judgement and the force, the soldiers fought from terminal to terminal, doing what they could to slow down the advance of the Imperial horde. Spread thin despite their efforts, a wounded Jedi Knight Ero Roon and the remaining alliance soldiers stood helplessly as civilians were cut down before their very eyes. Incapacitated, Roon was brought aboard one of the escape craft by his soldiers and evacuated from the planet. After the battle, Ero Roon retreated into the outer rim to recover from his injuries. With out contact from the New Jedi Order and the Alliance derailed, Roon was left to his own devices. Eventually he found himself content as a public servant on Koda station; keeping the peace between the farming communities of neighboring systems and the smugglers who frequented the backwater installation. |

APPEARANCE Ero Roon stands 6'3" and an average muscular frame. His expression can typically be described as cold and lackluster due to his mask, but those who know him can tend to learn to read his emotions through different methods. His eyes are silver but most have never seen them as they are covered by his goggles. His skin is a faded orange though he lacks some of the deeper colors a majority of his species possesses. Ero can be found in a modified set of armored robes at most times. This includes heavy durasteel chest and shoulder plating, a bandoleer, as well as a black cloak and combat fatigues. Hidden beneath his clothing, scarring from blasters peppers his body; painful reminders of those lost on Coruscant. Due to his look, he's often mistaken for a mercenary at a first glance, but a more keen eye would be able to decipher his upbringing. PERSONALITY Ero Roon is generally a quiet and reserved individual who would rather tend to his own flock in peace. He is literal and concrete in his beliefs; approaching nearly all of his issues in a logical but zealous manner. His strong sense of duty leads him to be a source of motivation to others and forces him to follow through on tasks. Organized and methodical in his approach, he generally succeeds in any task he undertakes. Because Ero has such a strong sense of duty, he has a difficult time saying "no" when he is given more work than he can reasonably handle. For this reason, he often works long hours, and may be unwittingly taken advantage of. Loyal, faithful, and dependable, Ero is a prime example of a "civil servant." He places a great importance on integrity and honesty. He is generally trusted by his community to do what is best for them, not necessarily what is best for himself. While generally very serious, Roon is known to have a off-beat sense of humor, especially when surrounded by friends or family. He tends to believe in laws and traditions, and expects the same from others. While generally not comfortable with breaking laws or going against the rules, if Ero is able to see a good reason for stepping outside of the established mode of doing things, he will support that effort. However, he more often tends to believe that things should be done according to procedures and plans. Despite being a Jedi, Ero is not naturally in tune with his own feelings and the feelings of others. He has difficulty picking up on emotional needs immediately, as they are presented. Being a perfectionist, he does have a tendency to take other people's efforts for granted in the same fashion he takes his own efforts for granted. Roon is uncomfortable expressing affection and emotion to others. However, his strong sense of duty and the ability to see what needs to be done in any situation usually allows him to overcome his natural reservations. He is usually quite supporting and caring with the people he loves. Once Ero realizes the emotional needs of those who are close to him, he will put forth effort to meet those needs. |
