Erimos: Prison for Force Users
45022302.jpg

Location: Planet Garel - Desert outside capitol city
Affiliation: Jedi Knights

Accommodations: 10 single cells and a barracks that can hold 75-80 guards

Power Source: Two power generators - One small backup inside the walls next to the elevator (Keeps the Containment fields and Elevator Powered), One larger generator outside the walls, kept inside a small duracrete bunker with roughly 15 of the Rangers and sometimes one Jedi.

Defenses:
  • Antarian Ranger guard staff - 50 variously armed
  • Automated Turrets - one on each corner of outside walls. 4 total.
  • Jedi Knights - Mostly inside the facility - 10 assigned (Changes each month)
  • Duracrete Walls - 15 feet high
  • Guard Tower - 100 feet high - Spotlights
  • Cameras - One in each cell above door facing prisoner, two on each side of prisoner hallways, two in guard tower facing north and south, and one at main generator. Monitored at Tower and in Lobby.
  • Motion Detectors - Two mounted alongside each wall. Look like large, black glass bubbles.
  • Anti-Air Cannon - Located on the roof of the guard tower

Description:
This facility is a square on the surface with four walls surrounding it. Guards patrol the walls usually two sets of two on each wall. They are about 1000 feet long each side. At each corner there is an automated turret that is activated by the guard tower should they detect intruders. The guard tower normally has three men inside manning controls while three more stand watch from the tall tower. Inside the walls there is just one small building. It is otherwise bare besides the occasional Jedi ship that lands inside. One set of double doors slide open to reveal an elevator that goes underground just below the surface. The facility has a lobby/waiting area underground where roughly a dozen guards are present at all times to make sure prisoners don't make it to the elevator. From there two sets of locked doors set up like an airlock lead to a short hallway. Five thick durasteel cell doors on each side contain any prisoners that may be inside the cells. Each cell is roughly 20 feet by 20 feet and has a containment field in the center. Otherwise it is bare durasteel walls. Jedi Knights patrol this hallway as well as service droids who feed the suspended prisoners. All in all it is a simple design inside but simplicity tends to work well.

Tagging those who commented on other. This is what the prison is for the current missions planned. In the future, after escape attempts, we may revise and Reya will have more time to adjust her ideas. Have fun.

10 cells sounds more like a jail than a prison

Local police stations usually have more than 10 cells

@Necris just going to point out jails don't house super powerful beings that can control minds and move objects with there mind.

Having a limited number of Sith kind of makes sense when you understand how dangerous they are.

ive also been thinking of the sizes quoted

Each cell is 400 square feet

The prison itself is 1,000,000 square feet which is about 23 acres

So even with the 10 cells that only takes up 4,000 square feet high equates to about 1 arce so your foot print for the prison is 20 times bigger than the actual building that sits in the centre

Honestly this temporary "jail" is worse than the original prison that had less details

I really don't see what your issue is. It's big. Makes it a bit harder to get outside the walls when there is a huge enclosed area with a lot of guards and a watch tower. Have you been to a real prison? They have a big yard and fenced/walled in areas not just a small big around the cells themselves.

This is the write up being used. If it's so awful then it shouldn't be hard to escape. If you don't want to RP in it, don't.

It actually makes it easier each group of guards patrolling the walls have to cover 1000 feet, each guard tower is 1000 feet apart and the centre of the prison is 700 feet from the towers, it gives the Sith escaping 900,000 plus square feet of open space to move around in that's 900,000 square feet of space to target areas of the wall and use it against the non force user guards, it's a massive space that a force user can use to hop over the wall (let's face it Jedi / Sith have no issue jumping 15feet)

My point being is you gone from having a prison that is worthy of being attacked and having a rescue mission launched against it as a symbol for the Sith empire to an shed for holding a few naughty Sith that when it gets attacked will mean nothing to any one

Except if you actually read the write up what you said isn't true. Not trying to be hostile but you're needlessly attacking this when it was literally thrown up as a medium difficulty prison JUST for your escape missions. Give it another read and you'll see a lot of your points don't stand for a few reasons. I'm not going to sit here and go back and forth anymore. Use it or don't do your escape missions. That's that.

That's the point it's been thrown together to cover for the fact that the actually facility that has already been written about doesn't have a proper write up and you're just covering it with something you knocked together.

I'm likewise not trying to be hostile but this is an unrealistic setting and won't provide a good IC experience it gives no reason to have a rescue mission staged against it

I though as a faction leader you were supposed to facilitate good roleplay and be flexible is helping the players have good roleplay this jail you've fashioned makes the rescue missions the Sith were planning utterly pointless and in effect kills off 2 characters because what is the point is raiding this facility

So yeah is this is the only option you're going to offer and not accept any feedback or options I'm out that out, thanks for killing off my character as you've stuck them into a situation whereby I can't see the Sith staging a rescue against this place it won't damage the Jedi if it's a success it won't effect the Sith if it's a failure

It's a local holding facility with a big wall, it's not the Sith prison written about because let's face it why would you only build 10 cells if you were planning on holding the Sith in it?

You mean facilitate good roleplay by actually writing something and giving you a place to roleplay? This "thrown together" prison will be plenty difficult and I am starting to think it'll be near impossible to escape. If you are giving up on Roleplay in general because of a setting rather than a story you can build don't blame others. There is more here than 99% of settings you get for other threads and even the temples for Jedi and Sith.

Thing is, we don't plan on holding Sith in it (Shocking). It's literally a temporary holding facility used to interrogate and possibly humanely execute Sith. We don't plan to just store you there for ages. Unless you all plan to get captured by the dozen. That isn't the facility's purpose nor the purpose of our crusade. The Jedi wouldn't be super hurt, true. But would the Sith find it worth rescuing a couple prisoners from any prison? If you want realism it goes both ways.

I don't want to come across as rude but this is ridiculous. @Necris if you don't want to RP here I'm not going to force you to do so and I won't just execute your character. Though ICly if you want realism we have no reason to release you if no escape attempt is made and per my point above execution is one of the common uses for this.

It's a temporary write-up. What the hell are you going on about in regards to some covering it up? The whole point was to define a temporary prison that could be utilized until Reya's was completed properly.

I'm likewise not trying to be hostile but this is an unrealistic setting and won't provide a good IC experience it gives no reason to have a rescue mission staged against it

You seem to be under the impression this was designed specifically for you. Refer to the above, If you don't want to use it then fucking wait. You don't have to use this one. If you also think this won't provide a good IC experience then I would put that back on you, and not the write-up itself. There's plenty here to have a lot of fun and explore.

I though as a faction leader you were supposed to facilitate good roleplay and be flexible is helping the players have good roleplay this jail you've fashioned makes the rescue missions the Sith were planning utterly pointless and in effect kills off 2 characters because what is the point is raiding this facility.

Absolutely no evidence to this at all, you're throwing accusations and starting to place blame for some personal issues. I'd ask you to take a step back and reconsider what you're saying because this is getting too personal. Bauren wrote this up as a temporary solution to get people roleplaying, to give them something to do instead of sitting around on their hands. The fact you're putting this on him is downright appalling and I'm more than disappointed.

Looks good until mine done! Just quick question, are the prisoners underground? Maybe it's just because I'm tired but I didn't quite clearly see it defined.

@Necris It'll be harder to escape then you probably think. Remember, we only have the force, no fancy gadgets or sabers. This is down to our pure creativity in how to escape. And, actually, the Sith would have a reason to attack. This is the weakest link in the chain. As a temporary holding facility, it isn't going to be as heavily guarded as the main facility, so if the Sith WERE going to rescue us, they'd do it here, where it would be considerably easier.

Are you referring to the interrogation cell or the actual act of interrogation?

The act of interrogation once you were in prison basically didn't get anyone to see you unless a PC Jedi did it. Or at least that's what I read, but no one interrogating you on a weekly bases, now if you want to impersonate my guy you can to get passed the droid that's fine.
