Episode 7 Trailer: The Membership Boost

So with the Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer due to hit screens sometime in the next 2-3 weeks…

I'm going to guess that we're going to thoroughly enjoy a severe boost in member registration.

Thoughts? Agreements? Concerns?

Also, I am all for taking bets on how many new members we will get, and when they arrive how long they will last.

I also reckon we will see a vast amount of: ''Star Wars: Force Awakens RP'' threads, and characters set in the era of the new films, so it may be worth posting an announcement near when the trailer comes out reminding people of the current 'status' of the site and RP.

In addition, I shall be hosting a party and feast for the new members. A GLORIOUS feast.

Yes, i'm aware MoviePilot aint exactly the most reliable, but they've been very careful with Star Wars stuff, and their sources are usually right on these matters. And other sources have confirmed things like John williams being places and stuff.

But yeah, i expect a steady increase of members from after the trailer, and then a holy-crazy influx when the movie releases, and then another stream across christmas, and then of course it'll just be manic, because as you all know - we're getting a star wars movie every year for the next 6-7 years.

I don't expect much of an increase from the trailer alone. There may be a few, but a teaser trailer that doesn't say much won't be a particularly big driver of traffic. We may get a few more from the full trailer, though I don't it'll be anything particularly noticeable. The real increase is going to be in the direct lead up to the film, as in the last few weeks or months of marketing, and after the film's release.

I like the first idea of the teaser. The second one doesn't interest me as much, surprisingly.
