APPEARANCE:
At 4’10” and 100lbs, Eoto has a very lithe and athletic figure. His fur is a very dark brown, almost black, with some streaks of grey around his temples and jaw. His eyes are a deep blue. His body has a certain rugged appearance to it from many years of manual labor.
ATTRIBUTES:
Eoto is cunning and strategically minded. He is fast and agile, though somewhat slowed by his increasing age. Though he is in good shape, the small stature of his species makes him physically weaker than most beings he encounters. He also has few social graces. Although he is very respectful and professional with those he seeks employment with, he is not much of a talker and often ignores attempts at conversation completely. This has afforded him few friends in the wider galaxy.
PERSONALITY:
Eoto is very quiet and reserved. Mirthless, some would say he finds nothing funny at all. The only time he seems to show any positive emotion is in the presence of his family. As a bounty hunter he is completely ruthless and calculating, showing no empathy whatsoever to those he hunts. But he also prides himself on his professionalism, always being respectful with his employers and following their requests to the letter, never causing harm without need, and never hurting bystanders or causing collateral damage.
BIOGRAPHY:
Eoto was born on Nar Shaddaa, the younger of two children. His family lived modestly, with his father making a living as a factory worker his entire life, although he would also teach Eoto and his older brother Edep how to use a blaster and hunt local pests. As well as for their own protection on the hostile moon. Eoto was very close to his brother and was devastated when he died of illness at only ten years old. After this the boy became very quiet and reserved, rarely if ever smiling. One of his friends would later say the only time he saw him outright laugh was in the presence of his eventual wife Nyir.
Eoto married her at age twenty, and like his father worked in a droid manufacturing plant to support them. The Empire’s reign was harsh though, and as imperial taxes continued to rise while wages remained stagnant Eoto was forced to look elsewhere to make up the difference. To that end he began participating in underground fighting rings for easy credits, a side job that his father never approved of. Even so, Eoto was insistent it was necessary to keep above water. Fighting in the ring enabled him to master several martial arts, and he eventually took up the vibroblade as well. The credits from his fights allowed Eoto and his wife to live somewhat comfortably on Nar Shaddaa, and they had their first child Onos by the time he was thirty. At thirty-three he had his second child, Jesra. Less than a year later Eoto’s father died of old age, an event he also took very hard, as he had never truly reconciled with him over his participation in the fighting ring. Things would soon get much worse.
When the Holonet went down in the Imperial Hutta chaos broke out across that part of the galaxy. To avoid the conflict some chose to flee their home systems rather than risk getting caught in the crossfire. Eoto, his ailing mother, wife and children joined many other Bothan refugees fleeing to their homeworld of Bothawui for safe haven. Unfortunately, they found little solace there, as most of what little wealth they had had been lost in the flight from Nar Shaddaa, and the now overabundance of low-skilled laborers on Bothawui made it impossible for Eoto to find work. He returned to the fighting ring, finding himself taking up more and more dangerous matches, even death matches to support his family. Eventually he came across an old friend and co-worker from Nar Shaddaa who encouraged him to take up bounty hunting as a more lucrative alternative. With few options Eoto accepted, bought a ship, and got to work. This has since taken him further and further away from his family in his efforts to look after them, but Eoto is determined to do his duty.
SKILLS:
Eoto is fluent in Bothese, Huttese, Galactic Basic and Droidspeak, although his Basic is heavily accented. He is a capable marksman with most blasters, although his favored weapons are long rifles. He is highly skilled in hand-to-hand combat and is moderately skilled with blades as well. He knows how to pilot his ship well enough to get from one place to another, but his “skills” entail little more than that. He’s able to fix minor issues with most droid models, and those he can’t fix he can at least recognize and identify.
