Politics were... less clean than war.

Less than a few months ago, Tomic would be firing his weapons until they clicked empty at the sight of Mandalorian forces ahead of them. But right now? Well now that the political landscape had changed, sighting down waiting Mandalorians was actually much less potentially lethal.

"Approach is green." he reported via his comlink as the lead speeder of the Imperial convoy came to a stop and he stepped out, rifle cradled carefully in his arm as he approached the front of the restaurant that was to be the site of the working lunch between one of the Imperial senators and a Mandalorian senator for Corellia, "Bring in the VIP."

The Imperial senator was in a second speeder, an armoured one for his protection, along with some more Imperial troopers and a minor celebrity in the form of Aadya Drast. Recent holo fame and family history meant that some of the other troopers had been smitten.

Tomic was rather indifferent considering what he thought about his chances, considering his obviously mechanical left hand and right eye. Thankfully he was in full armour right now so it was less obvious. He approached the Mandalorians with an empty raised hand.

"Imperial Agent Tomic Domin, escorting senator Odenz to his meeting with senator Reland." he announced to the guards, "I was said to link up with Supercommandos Dax Rau and Radth Kelborn."

Despite his outer calm... Tomic couldn't help the way the fingers of his mechanical hand tensed slightly at being their close to Mandalorians. They were still never going to be his favorite people and old habits died hard.

He couldn't just flick a switch and turn the hate off just because the big-wigs had come around the table.

The cross hairs of the scope mounted atop his Westar carbine held over the center of chest plate of a Sith guard ridding escort in the speeder ahead of the VIP senator's, and instinctively the trigger finger of his left hand slid into place. Three pounds of pressure and the former Death Watch commander would of added another dead Sith to his kill list...

"Vulture approaching the nest." Dax softly spoke into the comlink.

Dax lowered his weapon and rested it across his chest. A snapping movement and the weapon would of been up, leveled on a target and ready to engage a threat. Which only a month ago was perhaps a companion of these Sith, a young man who the Rau commando double tapped in the back. He watched the life leave that man's eyes and smiled as he took his last breath.

His T-visor looked over the scout armor before him. The armor was in good enough shape, but there was little to nothing special out it or the man within it as far as Dax could tell.

Dax scoffed through his nose to make a snort like sound, "Through the doors and all the way to the booth at the very back." Dax said as the imperials were by now so close that the two could smell one another's preferred gun oil. In fact so close that the commando and simply move his arm just right and...

"We've been expecting you."

The inside of the armored speeder was actually pretty nice, if you could ignore the vibe killing presence of a couple faceless Imperial troopers. Aadya had been tasked with escorting an Imperial senator and though she'd insisted she'd be enough protection, they'd been shackled with a couple loser soldiers anyway. Annoying.

Hearing her partner - some Imperial named Domin - come over the comm, Aadya smiled at Senator Odenz. "Looks like we've arrived and everything looks good, Senator." Aadya's tone was pleasant but not overly so, she figured people like Senators probably got the fake nice ass kissing thing a lot and probably got tired of it after awhile. "Time to go talk to the bucket heads."

As they exited the speeder, the troopers flanked the Senator on either side while Aadya approached her fellow Sith and the Mandalorian he was talking to. As she got close, Aadya couldn't help but roll her eyes as she looked over the two of them. Both were strapped up in armor, guns draped across their bodies like they were discussing the rules of war before shooting each other in the faces. Typical.

Aadya had opted to wear normal clothes, figuring civilian senators would probably feel more at ease being around someone that didn't look like they just got got home from the war yesterday. Of course, Aadya also wasn't an idiot, so she wasn't unarmed entirely. Her lightsaber was tucked away out of sight for now, Aadya assuming hanging it on her hip would just unsettle the Mandalorians. There was a blaster holstered on her hip.

"Ohh, booth all the way in the back. Is this the Huttfather or are all Mandalorians more cliche than kissing in the rain?" Aadya's tone was intentionally antagonizing and sarcastic. She didn't hate Mandalorians per se, but she didn't really respect them either.

Waving the Senator forward, Aadya would follow along behind him as they went inside, through the doors and all the way to the booth in the very back.

Thrilling.

Standing a fair distance from Dax, being just close enough to back up his comrade if the blasted Sith got any ideas. Yes the two factions are allies now. But it doesn't mean distrust is no longer there. It will take some time for trust to come to light. Until then the uneasiness will be there as the two sides worked together to protect the senator.

Should be an easy job right? Who wants to target old men that only know how to talk?

"Copy that." He will reply through the comm when Dax gave Radth the heads up.

Radth will silently look to Dax and Tomic as the two exchanged words. The Kelborn was not sure if him talking will be a good idea. As it was not too long ago he was helping to fight off a couple of Sith who had the stupid idea to go to Kessel. The man is still unsure about the idea of working with the Sith. He will do his best to be polite and keep his hostility under control. His T-visor will then sweep over to the Drast as she spoke up before heading inside. If she was trying to get a reaction the Sith will not be getting it from him.

Radth will wait for everyone else to head inside before taking up the rear. His finger on the trigger of his Westar Carbine incase any hostiles show up.

This is going to be a long day.

Tomic could tell that the Mandalorians were on edge but hell, he was on edge too. There was just something in the air, a tension, that had Tomic ready to start shooting if he needed to. He really hoped it didn't come to that though - Tanaab was a lovely place and it was rather peaceful all things considered. He wouldn't want to involve the civilians here in anything ugly and a fight between Imperials and Mandalorians?

Well 'ugly' tended to be putting it mildly.

Tomic tilted his head slightly at Dax, looking at the Mandalorian as he made the scoff sound before smiling a little bit behind his helmet. Old dog kept relevant by some tech. Well let the old man scoff, didn't matter a damn to Tomic. He simply nodded and stepped forwards, opening the door and keeping it open for Aadya and the senator to step inside.

He chuckled briefly at her joke.

"The taste of our hosts isn't in question here." he added quietly, "I suppose it helps them feel safer."

Tomic was a softly spoken person, by and large, hence his quiet tone. As he was turning to enter the cafe however, he spotted something that caused him some concern. Across the public square, a man was climbing an access ladder atop a small building across the square from them. He looked the part of an engineer but Tomic was less inclined to believe that. He reached up with his left hand to touch his com unit.

"Dagger One, break from convoy to check out potential suspicious activity across the square." he ordered, a small fire team of three Imperials moving off to assess the situation. Tomic turned to Radth as the closest Mandalorian to him, "Do you have men stationed on the surrounding rooftops?"

He was... probably being paranoid but he wasn't taking chances.

Reland Voz exited the covered speeder and buttoned his jacket as he made his way towards the door of the building where the meeting was taking place. While there was technically a tenuous peace between the Sith and Mandalorians, the tension was still quite palpable. This would be one of the first times the two parties had interacted. It stood to prove as a shining example of what could happen if war was set to the side, or prove to be disastrous.

Regardless, It was difficult not to feel some sense of security being escorted by the armored Mandalorians. He smiled at both of them before continuing his way inside. Once inside he was quickly ushered into an open conference room where the talk would be taken place. Two walls were completely glass giving a spectacular view of the city.

Within the minute, The Imperial Senator, Odenz entered the room. Reland turned to and smiled politely at his fellow Senator, "Senator Odenz, its a pleasure to meet you. he said offering his hand in greeting.

Radth looked from Tomic to the group of three imperials that are heading in a specific direction. It didn't take much for him to spot what the Sith is talking about. A man on the roof.

His eyes narrowed as he studied the figure. Feeling the same level of concern as the man next to him. Do they have men stationed on the roof? There is one problem with that.

They don't.

Radth looked to Tomic, "No we don't have men stationed on the rooftops." He will answer simply. Noting how bad it looks to possibly not have enough people to protect the two senators as they meet. The warrior thought through a possible solution to this security situation.

"If you see it as necessary. I can stay out here to keep a look out." He offered. Surely not all four of them are not needed inside the building to protect the senators. There maybe plenty of hiding places for the senators to hide if hell breaks loose. Plus with him staying outside he will become a second screen you can say, giving the senators and team inside the building time to get organized if they are ambushed during the meeting.

He will give the Sith time to think it through as the senator and other sith walked into the building.
