Empire to offer letters of Marque and Reprisal
The Imperial sigil would rotate on screen for a few moments before the hologram of Otto von Bastion would be patched in, appearing on screens and holoreaders accompanied by info showing his name and rank 'Otto von Bastion, Lieutenant, Imperial Armed Forces'.
"Following the unprovoked and brazen attacks by the Hutt Cartel and it's allies on the Imperial worlds of Mygeeto, Ossus, and Murkhana. The Empire has retaliated with a strike of our own against a hub of their criminal activities and credit generating schemes by launching a raid against their Spice point of origin mines on Kessel." He would pause as some short 3-5 second clips of the fighting on each planet would play with the name of the planet overlayed on the footage.
"We now offer this. Under the Imperial General Defensive Measures Act - Subsection J:143-72 'Letters of Marque and Reprisal' are to be offered to any and all space worthy and adequately equipped vessels wishing to aid The Empire in this time of conflict. Interested parties should contact your nearest Official Imperial installation for application information."
Some text would fill the screen for a time as Otto's hologram faded out, and after a few minutes the broadcast would end.
'Any vessel issued a Letter of Marque operates from this day forward to the end of hostilities with the legal protection of state sanctioned privateering. Any vessel retains salvage and capture rights to any and all Hutt Cartel and allied vessels, assets, or other properties.'
