Intent: While Brett did make a good landing craft I still feel there is a need a beefier more true to purpose ship that fits the bill of a ground support ship that can hold a squad of men.

Maneuverability: Its heavy nature makes the ship have a slow top speed and can make it a bit sluggish to respond at full speed. The large engines give it above average acceleration, mixed that with the engines thrust vectoring and it can be fairly agile at lower speeds

Description: Elthar Heavy Industries was approached by a rather large private military contractor to design and build a long range attack ship. The specifications where that the ship would primarily work to provide ground support as well as offer a safe and quick ride for assault specialists to the front lines or even behind enemy lines. It had to have the ability to load anti vehicle or anti infantry weapons as well as be able to conduct itself as an escort or even as an attacker to a mobile infantry group.

What was delivered met those requirements and in the process created a ship that became quite popular with paramilitary groups, smugglers, pirates and law enforcement. Its easy to see why, the ship was built from the ground up starting with the most important parts of the craft its crew and its passengers. The ship was designed so that in the event of an emergency the cockpit and the troop compartment can be jettisoned allowing them to survive until rescue can be achieved. next they took the bottom of each of those pods and installed additional reinforcement to provide total protection from hand held small arms up to most blaster rifles. this additional layer of armor has earned it much respect as there are many stories of the ship being beaten to near scrap and still able to get its troops on the ground safely and return to base. Most of the systems are redundant and the most important parts have extra protection either directly with additional armor or by being covered by less essential parts. The final bit of protection comes in the form of the ship being able to jettison both the cockpit and the troop compartment to protect the most important parts of the ship.

The armament is more that sufficient to provide ground units plenty of support as well as allowing it to clear its own landing zone. Add to that the ability to add rockets and/or missiles makes it great at keeping an area secure or getting it secure. Finally the ship has a powerful repulsorlift generator that when combined with the engines ability to redirect thrust allow it to quickly get into the air. Helping it get its cargo well out of harms way before anything too bad can happen. In the time since its release it has garnered a bit of a following and a few companies have even made kits that allow a user to customize the hold with things like living quarters to extended holds and everything in between.
