The dreams and aspirations each of us have are reflections of the world around us. Young children on Coruscant dreamed of becoming a noble senator. Those on Corellia of being a grinning swashbuckler. Others dream of being great ship architects, bacta researchers, respected military leaders, and any and all other impressive people. The people they can see are the people they aspire to.

Well, I was born on a ship in hyperspace. I grew up reaching for the stars, and unlike most children, I flew past one and went right on to the next.

Sure, it might have been nice to have my own room and to go to a public school with normal children, but frankly, the galaxy was my playground and I learned more than any school could ever teach you. My father died shortly before I was born on a raiding trip and my mother caught the space flu and died when I was four. It was left up to the weird, boisterous, double-crossing, scum of a crew that they had sailed with to raise me - and I'd say those Lorrdians did a hell of a job.

I was flying co-pilot by the time I was ten. At fifteen I was flying a fighter solo, and I became the co-pilot of our frigate by 20. That pirate crew became my family, and I owe them everything I have in the galaxy. Of course, I'd never admit that to them. They taught me the difference between right and wrong in the harsh realities of the outer rim, showed me how to spot the right sort of merchant scum to attack, and how to cover my tracks so that I didn't have to watch over my shoulder my whole life.

When I was 25 years old we were on a routine raid. A contact out of Tatooine said two diplomats would be meeting there, which should have been an immediate red flag - who goes to Tatooine willingly, especially when you have money? We were strapped for credits, though, and we hit them as they dropped out of hyperspace. Everything seemed fine as we boarded, but the advance team didn't get far before they were attacked by Sith that were on board. They dropped our boys like flies, and the Captain dropped a thermal right near our seal to prevent them from getting on board.

It killed the Sith and let us loose, but it also killed the Captain. Screwey, the de facto second in command, and been killed along with the entire advance team. We never found out if it was a trap or just bad luck, with our contact in the wind pretty quick. After we hit hyperspace there was a bit of tussle to work out with who was going to lead the crew, and after the boys had it out I stepped in and swept the floor. We won't go into the details, but after then there was no further questions about who was in charge.

So there I was, at 26, the head of a pirate crew. Three years later we started taking some contracts when the crew got hit hard by some coalescing crime orgs. We weren't in on their plan, so they had marked us as competition, and one of the first that needed to be hit. Probably because of our success. Figures. We gave them a hard fight, but I will be the first to admit we barely made it out of there alive, lost a lot of the crew. That was when we decided to reframe our priorities, see if there was a safer environment we could operate with some back-up to count on.

We didn't anticipate joining GALEF. But they worked for us. We got to hit the Sith with them and only when we choose, and none of us minded after what they did to us on Tantooine. Between missions we hit all sorts of scum for our own personal coffers, and in the best of moments we double dip. It's a good set-up for the crew, and for once in our dangerous lives we feel an odd, half-hearted sense of purpose and belonging.

Possessions and Skills

Arienne and her crew operate a Voruda-class Heavy Freighter called the Captain's Revenge as an advanced scout and skirmish unit for GALEF. While not a part of support missions and in active engagements, they hit high level targets. These targets most often have ties to the Sith Empire in some form.

She presently is not in possession of any personal starfighter.

Because of the nature of their piracy works, Arienne relies heavily on weapons more fit for close quarter combat. Her main weapons are two short batons which she always carries, which are both resistant to lightsabers. They are capable of releasing small blasts of ion energy from their ends, which will temporarily disable weapons and some droids if they came into contact with the energy. She sometimes sports a simple vibro-blade polearm, and quite usually has a small blaster pistol to accompany her batons in case she gets into a fix she can't smash her way out of. The crew uses thermal detonators and grenades on rare occasions due to their past experience with explosive weaponry, but the keep the option available for necessary situations.

Her armour is unremarkable, made to resist only small amounts of blaster fire, allowing her greater mobility and flexibility. Elizibeth also frequently carries a small satchel of equipment used for hacking and splicing. If she is unable to sport the satchel, she will frequently rely on her datapad for accessing and manipulating low or high-low grade computer systems.
