♠ THEME ♠
There was no sign of the Sith Empire. There was no sign of any enemy for that matter since they had entered the system not too long ago. Koil flipped a few switches inside the cockpit of his modified Bitol. The Klaw had excellent scanners that outclassed most vessels of a similar kind. He was wearing his beviinir armor instead of his normal beskar'gam for this instance.

This was the first time since the Battle Mandalore that he had been away from the command of his troops. Koil had left Archie behind at the Crescent Club House with a protocol droid to attend to him until he came back.

The Botajef system was right on the edge of Mandalorian space though it was neutral for the time being. Roche, a sith held system, was relativly close and remnants of the Empire could still be nearby. Koil was here on business though. He had come at the inquiry for Czerka in exchange for some quality hardware.

Accompanying the Silent Badger was another clan Member, Reyna Solus. She was known as Spicy Badger and it was good to see she was still around. They had not really had much of a chance to interact since they had been stranded on Atrer III together. In that endeavor she had become one of the few people to see his face.

Now they had a couple of tasks ahead of them if they wanted to get the hardware they were aiming for. Czerka's coin and opportunity when it came to messing with Bellica Works Inc would help pave the way.

The Echani's jaw clenched a little as he thought again about everything that had happened. It was reassuring to at least have a friend at his side. Reyna was a capable warrior and he could rely on her to have his back.

From inside the cockpit of the Werda Reyna stared out into the inky black nothingness that seemed to surround them. While the rational part of her mind told Reyna it was a good thing that no one was around, her lizard-brain was starting to get agitated, its demand for conflict like an itch you just couldn't scratch.

"You better not be leading us to another hellhole world where we'll get stuck again," Reyna said over their secure comm channel, attempting to stave off her increasing boredom. "Pretty sure I'm still finding sand where it doesn't belong."

As the duo approached Botajef, Reyna's scanners picked up a couple blips on the very edge of their read-range. Figuring Koil's jacked up Bitol probably picked it up way before she did, Reyna flipped a few switches to get her ship ready for more than just leisurely cursing, doing her best not to actually appear happy they might be engaging in some dogfights.

"You see that?" She asked rhetorically, veering the Werda off in the direction the blips had come from. "Could just be nothin, but could be some Sith patrols about to have the worst day of their life so far." Gripping the yoke, Reyna's thumbs hovered impatiently over the firing buttons of her medium laser canons. "Actually I don't give a kriff who they are, if they aint Mandalorians lets light their asses up."

Reyna wasn't kidding. She was going to light the kriff up whoever was flying around in the area, assuming Koil didn't chime in as the voice of reason.

Koil allowed himself to smile at hearing Reyna's warning. "Yeah well we rolled around in it enough. He said thinking back to how much time they had spent on the planet. It had been nearly a month's time before they had made it off planet. Plenty of time had passed with them carrying on through the wastelands of the planet. Only after saying those words his ears began to heat up realizing that it could have been taken differently.

His ship was going far slower than its max speed. In fact it was going about half its standard cruising speed. Reyna's aggressor packed fire power to make up for its relatively slow speed though. The two of them made a capable team regardless of what they were flying in.

His scanners picked up some contacts and he zeroed in on them. The Silent Badger wanted to know what kind of make or model the vessels were. If they were just drone barges they were not going to make him react the same way as a squadron of Sith starfighters. It turned out they were in fact starfighters but what was surprising was that they were mandalorian MM5 starfighters.

"Wait..." He said to Reyna who had begun flying towards them. Spicy Badger was eager to kill. He could not blame her, especially after all that had happened. Silent Badger gunned the controls. He would be able to catch up to his clan mate shortly.

As they got closer to the mandalorian craft their IFF tags would show pop on Koil's terminal. They were stolen starfighters. "Girsav raiders." He growled inside his helmet. The Girsav Be Haal Gra'avagr had seemed to replace most of the independent criminal enterprises around mandalorian space. They had even begun absorbing Red Skull gang members. Koil began spinning up his weapon systems and diverting power from his scanners. Soon they would be in weapons range. The enemy starfighters were guarding a freighter too it seemed. That just added to the bothersome situation even more.

Reyna's eyes narrowed intently when Koil made the discovery that the unknown radar blips were actually Girsav scum. "Time to light up some dar'manda scumbags," Reyna said, a small smile creasing her lips. There was no better feeling to her than going headlong into potential danger.

Pushing her ship to its limit as far as speed went, Reyna rocketed towards the Girsav formation. Getting one of the starfighters in her sights, she pressed a button and released one of her concussion missiles. Her intention wasn't necessarily to strike true, but to scramble the formation and cause some chaos that Koil could hopefully capitalize on with his fancy ship.

Performing a couple of maneuvers, Reyna would realign her ship after firing off the missile so that she'd be able to dip and doge around any fire that may have been returned in her direction, once the dar'manda figured out what was going on.

The man growled to himself at the approach of a fight. He knew Reyna well enough to know that sometimes she just wanted to knock some heads around. In this case she wanted to ventilate the Dar'manda ahead of them. Whatever the case Koil would follow suit.

With his built in groundsweeper light laser cannon the man would preemptively fire. He hit his XXX sublight booster. Soon he was racing past Reyna's Werda. The Klaw rocketed towards the enemy at a speed of one hundred and forty MGLT.

The enemy starfighters had hyperdrives allowing them to move from system to system and harass a plethora of victims. But that meant their limited capabilities were not focused towards speed and maneuverability, fire power, or defense. One starfighter would get raked as Koil's ship through directly through their formation and out the other side. The Silent Badger barely had to adjust his aim as his ship dragged its line of fire across the hull of one of the MM5s. "One down." He said in his cool and calm voice while he disabled his sublight booster. His weight shifted in his seat as the intense gee forces pulled on him. He tensed his midsection to keep himself from blacking out as he banked back around for another run.

"Just one? War Councilor Koil, are you losing your touch?" Many Mandalorians probably wouldn't have felt comfortable taking the piss out of someone so prestigious as Koil, but Reyna was not that kind of Mandalorian. They were both badgers, after all.

Her moves from before had lined Reyna right up with a couple of the MM5's, allowing Reyna to send massive spray of fire from her light blasters. The bolts peppered two of the star fighters along a large portion of their hulls, sending them careening into the openness of space before exploding in underwhelming fireballs.

"Two to one, big shoots." She said, a cocky smile spreading across her face. Unfortunately, during her small gloating session, Reyna didn't notice the freighter start closing in on her rear and launch one of its proton torpedos. At least, not until her ship's sensors started freaking out.

"Ij, tahla'ada ni!" She said under her breath, though it was probably still loud enough for Koil to hear.

Slamming her controls to a hard left, Reyna attempted to keep all the blood from shooting to her brain, doing whatever she could to get out of the straight-line of fire of the torpedo before she ended up splattered across some passing meteoroid.

"Ha!" A singular mocking laugh came from Koil over the communication link. The blade that cuts many shallow cuts proves safer than fewer deeper cuts. It was one of his lessons as a child. It was actually one of the rare lessons he learned from his mother and not his father. In this case, the distraction of two different enemies was forcing the pirates to reorient themselves with divided attention.

"I'm tired of hogging the spotlight." He retorted as he finally pulled out of the high speed banking manuever. The gloved hand around the fire stud tightened. The concussion missiles on the Echani's ship armed and locked on before jetting out into space. The ordenance raced across the void and impacted head on with one of the star fighters.

The debris cloud made one enemy swerve and avoid it but the second was less lucky and caught some the debris. It was just enough to force the ship to jerk to the side and slam into the light freighter. It was not enough to wreck the overhead but it certainly had visible damage on the external hull.

A discharge from the light freighter made him look ahead towards where he saw Reyna's ship. Pull up! He thought to himself. When she ended up hauling on the controls and making it out of the dummy fired projectile he practically pumped the air for a second. It had become very tense in that moment.

All the while the light laser cannon repeatedly fired and tracked one of the other enemies. The built in droid brain acting as gunner and calculating the flight pattern for enemy targets. It was not ideal but it harassed and ended up depleting some of the light freighter's shields.

Reyna's maneuvers saved her from the missile but she still felt the turbulence of her ship's shields getting peppered a bit by some canon fire from the remaining star fighters. Luckily her shields were strong enough to hold up against the tepid assault, Reyna being able to round her ship back and bring her weapons to bare against what remained of the dar'manda.

Koil had managed to strike against the freighter's shields, softening it up a bit. Reyna figured that the starfighters might scatter if the ship they were protecting was destroyed, so instead of attempting to chase around the faster ships in a dog fight, she decided that targeting the freighter was probably the better idea.

Firing off her light canons, Reyna managed to strike the tail end of the freigther and cause its pilot to attempt to jet off and get out of firing range - which was exactly what Reyna wanted. Flipping a few switches, she fired off concussion missile, figuring that the freighter was going to be distracted with the laser fire and get overwhelmed.

She was right, too. The concussion missile struck the freighter in its rear engines, causing the ship to explode violently and illuminate the space around them. Flipping her coms on, Reyna couldn't help but smirk. "Lets mop up the rest of these idiots and get the kriff out of here."

Laser cannon fire stretched out into the darkness of space. Each shot trailing behind the fast starfighter as its pilot manuevered the craft in an evasive manner. One enemy gunned their control and was able to actually keep up for a brief moment while Reyna focused on the light freighter.

The starfighter that was tailing him fired a few shots. One or two hitting the shields of the starfighter. Underneath his ship his groundsweeper light cannon turned one hundred and eighty degrees and began firing at the enemy behind him. The weapon system was simple and far from hard hitting as far as laser cannons went but it did the trick.

He locked onto another bridgand and launched a missile after a starfighter. Their missile lock warning must have told them their dire situation and thus they pealed off to try and evade the attack. It only delayed it as in the next few moments the starfighter exploded. The rest did just as Reyna expected, scattering and trying to get their bearings. A few even looked to be trying to head further away from the planet and the mandalorians to try and jump to hyperspace.

Koil chased after them. They would not be able to outrun him, not with what they were equipped with. His laser cannon firing after them. One went up in flames while the other just went dark as its cockpit depressurized and spiraled off into the void. The War Councilor eased off his controls now that the threat was more or less gone. Angling his ship he came back around to Reyna's aggressor attack craft. "Take any damage?" He asked while looking over her hull for any scoring marks.
