Affiliation
Clan Bralor

Ownership
Echoylir Bralor

Intent
My intent is to simply update Echoylir's old, non-custom suit of Mandalorian Armour to more modern standards, with a brand new look and armour composition. I also adore the look of the older styles of Mandalorian Armour, so I partly want to pay homage to those designs as well. This suit would replace what Echoylir currently owns completely, his older suits donating components to it's creation and becoming unusable.

Model
Beskar'gam / Mandalorian Armour

Rating
The suit is rated against small arms fire, explosive splash and direct flamethrower and similar attacks. There is a moderate lightsaber deflection ability on the actual body armour. Overall, the suit's protection against Lightsabers is good for two, perhaps three slashes before failing, depending on where the strikes land.

Description
This custom suit of Mandalorian Armour harkens back to the days of the Mandalorian Crusaders, adhering to a different design ethic from the more flexible and lightly armoured Supercommando designs of the modern era. While it borrows modern internal systems from the more advanced Aliit'gam system, it has more in line with the much older and traditional Beskar'gam armour.

There is little about this suit that is subtle, with any attempt at camouflage completely disregarded. It sports a crimson armourweave cloak that has anchor points at the shoulders and a secondary cloak around the waist, known as a kama, also made from armourweave. The function of these elements, other than to look imposing, is to help diffuse the effects of blast weaponry and chemical projectors, such as Flamethrowers.

The helmet is a mask and armoured cowl affair, with an additional gorget present beneath the cowl itself, that clasps around the neck and upper shoulders of the wearer. It is a heavy, beskar-wrought piece designed to prevent decapitation. The actual cowl is an armourweave cover for the duranium-forged helmet beneath. When donned, only the ominous face plate of the helmet is visible, with the cowl covering the rest and forming an atmospheric seal with the rest of the suit.

The actual body armour, which covers the torso, groin and the legs is composed of Durasteel, with the chestplate, helmet and shoulder pauldrons also being made of Duranium, a lightweight lightsaber deflective material. The leg plating is purely durasteel in composition. The arms aren't armoured, with the armourweave bodysuit beneath the armour being visible on the arms. A protected belt carries a number of pouches and containers, also providing the anchor points for the kama. Between the plates themselves and the armourweave undersuit there is a kinetic thermal gel layer to help absorb blows. The suit itself is semi-powered, able to support it's own substantial weight but offers no additional advantage beyond that.

The gauntlets are a simple affair, with hard points on the forearm for inbuilt weapons ( see Features ) and made of Durasteel. The glove component on both hands are the infamous Mandalorian Crushgaunts, beskar-infused powered fighting gloves that amplify the user's strength, able to grab and tear and crush with their hands materials and armours their bare hands cannot. In an emergency, the Crushgaunts can be used to grab an oncoming Lightsaber blade and hold it for a crucial second or two.

The internal electronics and secondary systems are liberally taken from several suits of Aliit'gam and well as from spares, resulting in a fairly advanced selection of secondary systems in contrast to it's old fashioned design and intent. There is a moderate level of EMP shielding, enough to stop the suit's systems from shutting down but not preventing disruption to the regular operation of the suit's secondary systems.

In addition, the suit has a holster on the right thigh for Echoylir's DT-12 pistol, and a sheathe on the left thigh for his beskad. Mounted on the back are carrying loops for his mythosaur axe, although these can function as a carry handle in the event that Echoylir becomes a casualty and needs to be dragged out of the line of fire.

Features
Heads Up Display:
The helmet's HUD features information on the surrounding environment as well as a 360-degree field of vision. The HUD's data streams are controlled by eye movements and blinking. In addition, it could be used to scan the HoloNet and connect with databases, allowing Echoylir to perform tasks which would normally require a computer terminal, such as searching databases for individuals or even trading on the stock market and buying real estate, from anywhere that was accessible through the HoloNet. The HUD also possesses the capability to record both video and audio data, and play them back, as well as upload and transfer it to the HoloNet or other computer terminals.

Broad-band Uplink
The helmet's broad band uplink is directly connected to Echoylir's ship, The Krayt's Claw, and is capable of intercepting and unscrambling comlink and starship comm transmissions. Also, with assistance from his ship's computer, he is capable of jamming or sending fake transmissions, even while not in the ship, though it requires him to be on the same planetary hemisphere as his ship. He is also able to remotely control his ship and it's computer with vocal commands using the same antenna.

Rangefinder
An integrated rangefinder capable of tracking up to 30 targets from a distance of 100 meters, installed into the visor display. The rangefinder fed data to a display overlay inside the helmet showing range and movement for targets in a 360 degree radius. The overlay also linked to Echoylir's few weapons systems to display fire vector and range data.

Photosensors
The helmet's sensors are capable of detecting excessive or sudden changes in light levels, and automatically compensate, allowing Echoylir to avoid being blinded by explosions or sudden flashes.

Macrobinocular Viewplate
The macrobinocular viewplate can be magnified to allow Echoylir to see great distances, and was equipped with, among other things, an infrared scanner that could be magnified up to 50 times. The infrared scanner can either magnify light up to 100 times or display heat gradations.

Encrypted Comlink
Any battlefield veteran knows that secure lines of communication is vital, and Echoylir is no exception. As such, his helmet contains a powerful comlink with advanced military grade encryption software, allowing him to communicate feely without being overheard.

Battle Computer
With so much going on inside his helmet, it would be very easy to be overwhelmed, even with years worth of training in using the system, without some sort of automated control system. The integrated battle computer helps Echoylir in managing all the sensors and weapon systems without giving him helmet shock. Although he's not a huge fan of it.

Atmospheric Seal
Combined with the flight suit worn underneath his armour plates, his helmet is capable of creating a perfect atmospheric seal, creating and maintaining a sealed atmosphere within, allowing him to function in atmospheric conditions that would be considered hostile or outright fatal, such as toxic gas, or even the vacuum of space.

Thermal Insulation:
The armour possesses powerful heating elements, as well as zersium flecks embedded into the flight suit underneath, allowing Echoylir to deal with extreme cold, such as that of the vacuum of space or arctic conditions when combined with the suit's atmospheric seal. The previously mentioned zersium flecks, and the thermal gel helps negate high to extreme heat levels.

BioMonitor
This system was originally designed for medical use, but Echoylir has integrated it into his armour to monitor his body and life signs, which is capable of giving him detailed information on his physical condition, all the way down to registering blood toxins, stress hormones, adrenaline, to major trauma. An external jack is mounted on the right gauntlet to allow medics to quickly assess the level of injury of the person wearing the suit.

Medical Systems
This complicated system relies heavily upon the BioMonitor to function, as it dispenses adrenaline, bacta, or various stimulants and medical compounds directly into Echoylir's blood stream if needed.

Environmental Filter & Rebreather System
The environmental filter system is designed to filter out airborne poisons and contaminants, and drawing in fresh oxygen. However, in places where there is no oxygen or the noxious fumes are too great, the system is capable of scrubbing Echoylir's exhaled breath to provide fresh oxygen. It also possesses a two hour emergency oxygen tank. The system is visually old-fashioned, with twin connecting tubes going from the mask down to the filtration system and oxygen tank located just above his belt on his back.

Waste Recycling System
Many planets are poor in water, and even more commonly, the water on a planet may not be safe to drink directly, containing bacterial contaminants, poisons, viruses, or parasitic infestations. As such, Echoylir wisely added a waste recycling system to his suit, which reclaims bodily waste, such as perspiration, saliva, and breath vapour amongst others, and purifies it back into safe, drinkable, water. If he wears his helmet 90% of the time, he can survive on the water provided by suit's recycling system for a week, with some water discipline.

MandalTech Kyr-24 Wrist Laser
The Kyr-24 is comparable to a standard BlasTech rifle in terms of power, and has a range of fifty meters. However, thanks to being miniaturized, the weapon needs about a minute to recharge between shots, if fired at full power. The laser, with a modified output, can also be used as a cutting tool.

Fibercord Whip Launcher
A simple launcher, firing a length of fibercord with a grappling hook at the end to either entangle his targets, or simply use it as a grappling hook and rope. This fibercord can also carry an electric current in order to stun opponents. The whip-launcher also contains a powerful servo-engine which is more than capable of lifting Echoylir's armoured body-weight with ease.

Climber's Claws
The armour's gloves and boots contain several retractable and serrated claws made from duranium coated with dallorian alloy, which allows Echoylir to climb sheer surfaces that would be otherwise impossible. They can also be used as melee weapons in an emergency.

Magnetic Plates
Several sections of Echoylir's armour contains electromagnetic plates, allowing him to easily carry weapons, or more easily walk and stand his ground in zero gravity, or simply to resist a powerful blow.

Aquatic Adaptation
Echoylir's armour has been adapted to operate within an aquatic environment. It is able to draw oxygen from water, or similar liquids. It also contains miniaturized jets to help with aquatic movement.

Spot-lamp
A relatively simple addition to the armour are two small, but deceptively powerful lamps attached to either side of the helmet. While the armour possesses several different visor modes which will allow Ehoylir to see in a range of different spectrums, sometimes one just needs good old light. In addition, they're handy to distract and stun opponents in night time operations. Both lamps are capable of producing a broad range of different wavelenghts along the electromagnetic spectrum.

Punch-Daggers
Built into the knuckle-plate of both crushgaunts is a hollow piece of armour, containing a single short ( 15cm ) vibro-blades. These blades eject at a blinked-command from his HUD, becoming a pair of last-resort fighting weapons in the event that Echoylir is completely disarmed of his usual weapons.

MT19 Variable Launcher System
A modernized variant of the MM9 Rocket System used by the infamous Boba and Jango Fett. Mounted on the wrist, and overhung the back of the hand so as to prevent himself from shooting his hand off the rest of his arm, this formidable weapon is capable of firing a wide arrangement of different payloads, all guided by the battle-computer in Echoylir's helmet. Unlike the older version used by the venerable Fetts, the MM19 also combines the versatility of a wrist-mounted dart-launcher, which was mounted as a seperate unit for Boba and Jango, to the destructive power of the Rocket System.

I thought you hadn't put in wrist blades and was disappointed. Way to keep it in the very back.

That said. Digging it.
