EPISODE 1
ECHOES OF THE PAST

Traveling to the Smuggler’s Moon under the guise of anonymity, young Jedi Knight PERUN attends an auction held by the Hutt Cartel where amongst pillaged goods from across the galaxy, an ancient Jedi memento is rumored to figure as the most prestigious prize...

As he stepped onto the bustling streets of Nar Shaddaa, Perun had initially been hit by a wave of sensory overload. The sound of hundreds of beings talking and shouting all at once assaulted his ears, making it difficult to focus on any one conversation. The roar of speeders and the hum of droids added to the cacophony of noise, creating a symphony of chaos that reverberated through the city. The scent of exotic food cooking, mixed with the stench of garbage and pollution, created a pungent aroma that filled the air. The young Jedi resisted the urge to cover his nose as he walked past open-air food vendors and overflowing trash cans. Bright lights flashed and danced, advertising everything from entertainment venues to illegal goods. The streets were filled with a colorful array of beings, from humans to droids to aliens of all shapes and sizes. The young Jedi couldn't help but feel both awe and a twinge of fear as he realized how far from the safety of the Jedi Temple he was.

The young Jedi kept his senses attuned to the Force, using it to guide him through the throngs of people and to detect any potential danger. He felt the ebb and flow of the living Force, sensing the emotions of those around him and the energy of the city itself.

Despite the challenges of navigating through such a chaotic city, the young Jedi also felt a sense of exhilaration. He was on a mission, and he knew he had the skills and training to handle whatever challenges he encountered. Even amidst the chaos and danger, he knew that the Force would guide him and that he was meant to be here.

Fortunately, he only had a short way to go before he arrived at the auction house. The grandiose structure loomed over the surrounding buildings, its sleek metal walls and neon lights announcing its presence to the entire city. The entrance was flanked by a pair of towering, holographic sculptures that seemed to shift and move in the light, drawing the attention of anyone who passed by. Perun stepped away from the main road and adjusted my cloak, concealing his lightsaber from view. He made my way toward the entrance of the auction house; his senses heightened as he scanned for any potential threat.

As he approached the entrance, Perun was greeted by a large, imposing Gamorrean guard. He eyed him suspiciously, his hand resting on his blaster. "State your business," he grunted, his putrid breath nearly as intimidating as his colossal size.

"I'm here for the auction," the Ma'alkerrite ape-man replied calmly, his Jedi training allowing me to keep my emotions in check.

The guard snorted. "You and everyone else. We're at full capacity, so unless you have an invitation, you'll have to come back another day."

Perun reached out with the Force, using a Jedi mind trick to influence the guard's thoughts. "You will let me in," he said, his voice firm.

It wasn't easy for her to obtain an invitation for the auction, but Ceris managed to secure herself one. Utilizing the inheritance she received from her grandparents, Ceris has made some uncanny connections throughout the galaxy; one with the Hutt Cartel. She's helped finance projects, and is currently attempting to increase her influence by offering up mercenary contracts. There wasn't anything in particular she was looking forward to bidding on at the auction. This was simply a means for her to show face in case there were any prominent individuals there.

The putrid air of Nar Shaddaa was one that no nose could ever forget. Ceris wondered if it were even possible to get use to it at all, or if the citizens simply held their breaths. The city reminded her of the lower levels of Coruscant based on the few times Ceris has been there. She despised the urbanization of environments, with the current sights, sounds, and smells being the reason why.

Ceris began to pick up the pace, hoping she wouldn't be late for the auction. Up ahead she would spot the large and imposing establishment. If the lights weren't bright enough the two holographic structures made it apparent enough that this was the correct location.

At the entrance stood a large Gamorrean guard. When Ceris approached, she couldn't help but notice he appeared rather blank as if he were lost in a train of thought. She obnoxiously coughed into her arm to grab his attention, to which his body snapped back and regathered itself.

Taking a moment to observe Ceris, the guard finally greeted her. "We're at full capacity for the auction ma'am, unless you have an invitation." She didn't mention anything about the auction, but she supposed it was obvious that she was here for it.

Ceris reached into her pocket and pulled out an envelope with a wax seal. "Here you go," she responded, presenting the invitation to him. The guard snatched the envelope away and examined it before returning it. "Enjoy your night," he said before stepping aside to let Ceris pass.

As he slipped through the entrance, his senses alert for any danger ahead, Perun could hear the raucous haggling and bidding drifting through the air, mingling with the sweet scent of spice and the acrid odor of blaster fire. The atmosphere was thick with the sounds and smells of the black market, the neon glow of illicit wares casting a lurid sheen over the crowds of shady characters gathered there.

The Jedi's attention was soon taken by a myriad of exotic goods and rare artifacts, each item vying for the attention of the assembled crowd. On one table were ancient, ornately-carved statues of long-forgotten pagan deities, their eyes glittering with precious gems and their stony expressions imbued with an eerie sense of life. Nearby, a collection of antique blasters lay scattered haphazardly, their polished metal surfaces reflecting the dim light of the auction house.

There were rare and exotic creatures, each one imprisoned in a cage or jar, their eyes gleaming with an animalistic intelligence. A sleek and savage-looking nexu snarled and paced in its cramped cell while a small, fluffy creature with round ears and black eyes blinked blearily from a jar filled with glowing blue liquid.

And then, through the haze, Perun caught a glimpse of a woman with long, flowing white hair, her pale eyes glistening with an otherworldly radiance. The Jedi felt a strange sense of recognition as if he had known her elsewhere. His heart quickened as he approached, his senses reaching out for any danger that might lurk beneath her alluring exterior. Would she pose any threat to the anonymity the successful completion of his mission depended on?

Better face the situation head on, he thought turning to face the woman, his eyes locking with her own. "You don't look like you belong here," he said assuredly in a half-smile, his voice low and musical. "What brings you to this place?"

Upon entering the auction house, Ceris could already hear the 'oohs and ahhs' and bids being placed already. She checked her phone for a moment; she was only late a few minutes. The air wasn't as repulsive as the streets but it was still discouraging.

Ceris made her way to the back of the crowd. First, she looked around to see if she recognized anyone. There wasn't anyone noteworthy but they appeared to be the usual rich scumbags. Ceris then focused her attention towards the front. The statues and antique blasters didn't impress her. She was neither a historian or collector, and the gems lacked value in her eyes. A few of the exotic creatures did pique her interest. The feeling of control over another living thing was long lost from her mind, having a pet could fill the void. However, it wouldn't be the same as it use to be.

As she watched the auction go on, Ceris was startled as some thing immediately turned to face her. For a second she was going to reach for her blaster, thinking an exotic animal was loose as she had never seen anything like what was in front of her. Before she could grab a hold of her blaster, it smiled and spoke to her.

A second was taken to process what had just occurred. Ceris let out her breath and relaxed her body before responding, "I'm the one that looks like they don't belong?" she asked sarcastically with a slight chuckle. "I'm here for the same reason as everyone else.. are you not?"

It was humorous at first, Ceris was curious to get to know this stranger, but then she thought deeper on the question she asked. A rather 'out-of-place' question was asked of her, and besides the stranger's appearance his aura stuck out; it felt rather peaceful and calm around him. She couldn't quite put her finger on it, and so decided to write off his question as a slip derived from some social-anxiety. There was no reason to dig too far into something so trivial.

Telly Udon was smartly dressed, as befit a centuries-old soldier. His old Alliance helmet was freshly polished and went nicely with his jet black jump suit and boots. Anyone looking at him would assume he was just a collector of the antique or maybe a fan of military history, little realizing that the old Pau'an had actually served in the Rebel Alliance back in the Galactic Civil War.

Unfortunately, his job hadn't changed with the times. After the Sith attack on his home of Yavin, his hand had been forced and he'd rejoined the fight against the Empire. Though the Sith and Imperials had formally split, Telly didn't really make much of a distinction between the two. Fascists were fascists and invaders were invaders.

After a successful strike against the Imperial Knights in their own castle and a less-than-successful defense against the Sith on Mustafar, Telly's small but scrappy resistance cell was in desperate need of some new weapons. That had brought him to the auction today. Funded by some recent raids and robberies, Telly was seeking to buy a pack of trained salky hounds. The savage attack beasts would be a nice addition to any offensive against the Sith.

He looked upon the houmd breeder with distaste as he haggled - the beasts looked half-starved and regularly beaten. Telly might stab a Sith in his sleep but cruelty for cruelty's sake displeased him. As he haggled, he heard snippets of a conversation between two seeming strangers caught his ear. He paid half attention to the two as he closed the sale.

The Ma'alkerrite raised an eyebrow at the woman's response, sensing sarcasm and perhaps even bigotry in her tone, a not-so-subtle hint of common garden variety xenophobia. Perun was accustomed to navigating the murky waters of the galaxy's underworld, but he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was something different about Nar Shaddaa. The black market was a place where the law held no sway, and the only rules were those set by the criminal syndicates that ruled the sector. It was a place where xenophobia and prejudice were rife, and one wrong move could mean the difference between life and death.

Perun was no stranger to xenophobia. As a Jedi, he had traveled to countless worlds and encountered beings of all shapes and sizes. He had even experienced firsthand how fear and ignorance could turn people against those different from them, and how it could lead to violence and hatred. Yet, he had also seen the opposite: how compassion and understanding could bridge the divide between different species and lead to friendship and unity.

He had experienced both sides of the coin and knew that the black market was a place where the former was more prevalent. He could feel the weight of the gazes upon him, the subtle glances and whispers that followed him as he made his way through the crowds. He knew that as a Ma'alkerrite, a species commonly used as slaves, he was a target for those who saw him as a threat to their way of life, as an outsider who didn't belong in their world.

But he also knew that he couldn't let fear hold him back. He had a mission to complete. He had to remain focused and not let the prejudice of others cloud his judgment.

And so, when he spoke to Ceris, Perun did so with a calm and measured voice, careful not to let any hint of anger or uncertainty show through. "I suppose you have a point," he replied forcing himself to adorn a playful smile. "I'm looking for something more interesting. Any idea where I might find something like that?" He knew that he had to be assertive, to show that he was not to be trifled with, but also to be respectful and diplomatic.

As he noticed a nearby Pau'an concluding a sale, nonchalantly eavesdropping on their conversation, he thought to invite him to join their conversation. "How about you, my Ancient friend?"

"Something more interesting? Well your bound to find something like that somewhere in the streets of Shaddaa." Ceris smiled a little at her own joke towards the city before continuing "Although if you're talking about the auction I'm not too sure." She looked past the stranger and watched as a group of people began placing bids on some attack dogs. The beasts looked to be in terrible condition; they didn't seem worth her time or money.

Ceris returned her gaze to her interlocutor "I did hear a rumor about some old Jedi stuff. It piqued my interest; I'm sure I could sell it off for an adequate amount of credits if I obtained it." Despite the mysterious shrouding force users, Ceris never really seemed to care about their on-goings. She was however, interested in using the millennium long conflict between the Sith and Jedi to her own advantage.

The crowd began to die down for a moment, Ceris looked over to see a Pau'an had made the sale. She glanced over as the stranger called out to him, wondering if they knew each other.

"Ancient? I'm only 419 years old!" Telly said jovially, clapping Perun on the back. His species were known for their long lives but he wondered if the ape-man had just made a guess or if he knew more about Telly than he was letting on. Either way, it was best to keep things light and pleasant with these two. Resistance fighters buying attack hounds were not the type to want unwanted attention.

"But did I hear right? Are you in the market for old Jedi gear, is it? Wot wot! I might be able to help you there- I have a bit of an eye for antiquities." Telly said chipperly to Perun and Ceris. That wasn't strictly true - Udon's artifact knowledge was probably as good as anyone else's but he certainly knew Jedi stuff, having lived for a few years on Yavin IV alongside the Force users. And friends of Jedi tended to be friends of the Resistance. Mayhaps this chance encounter could lead to something fruitful.

Perun's eyes glittered with amusement as Telly feigned indignation at his jocular comment. His sardonic humor was a stark contrast to the oppressive atmosphere that pervaded the auction house, and Perun found it to be a welcome reprieve from the unsavory characters that lurked in every shadow. "Ah, my apologies, good sir," he quipped, grinning broadly. "In my defense, age is but a number, and you wear it well."

As Telly mentioned his potential expertise in Jedi artifacts, Perun's interest was piqued. The ancient memento he sought was of great importance to the Jedi. He had been entrusted with this mission by the Council, and he had no intention of failing. The slightest hint of a lead, even from a seemingly chance encounter, was worth exploring.

Despite the seemingly chaotic nature of the auction house, Perun could sense a certain order beneath the surface, a web of power and influence that connected the various factions in attendance. There was a palpable tension in the air, a delicate balance that could be shattered at any moment by the slightest provocation. It was a dangerous game that they were all playing, and Perun was acutely aware that one wrong move could prove disastrous.

Perun closed his eyes, delving into the ethereal embrace of the Force. A symphony of life energies swirled around him, each note a unique soul within the bustling auction house. Focusing his consciousness, he sought the artifact's resonant signature, a beacon of luminescence amidst the discordant cacophony. As he probed the intangible web, a frisson of excitement surged through him, tantalizing his senses with the faintest hint of the relic's presence.

The Ma’alkerrite's eyes sparkled with mirth as he turned to his newfound compatriots, a lighthearted tone masking the gravity of his quest. "Now, my esteemed cohorts," he began, gesturing theatrically, "since we are united in our pursuit, perhaps you could enlighten me as to which of these charming denizens might possess knowledge of our coveted artifact?" He punctuated his query with a sly grin, keenly aware of the precarious nature of their situation.

"419 YEARS OLD?!" Ceris thought to herself. She knew the galaxy was filled with lifeforms that had much longer life spans than herself, but the few people she's met were only a hundred or so years old. Which was relatively young for their own ages but this man was the first to be multiple centuries; four to five generations of her family most likely went by during this stranger's time alive. She kept her awe to herself and listened as the two talked.

As they spoke Ceris took mental notes of the both of them, both their body language and speech. The Perun felt rather goofy, but also knowledgeable. She prioritized her gaze on the other. He seemed even more interested in the rumored Jedi memento than the Perun and herself. The calm but joyful atmosphere of his character felt a little too heavy at moments. Ceris was not a stranger to putting on a social veil to shroud herself; But she was still unsure of the genuineness of his persona. Regardless, they both made themselves competitors once the similarity of their interests were revealed. Hopefully neither of them thought the same, but in all likelihood any individual visiting Nar Shaddaa came with certain intentions.

"Not sure if our interest will come from any of these fellows" She responded while motioning her hand to display the crowd in front of them. "If it's suppose to be the grand prize it will most likely be brought out at the very end of this get-together." Ceris took a moment to pull out her phone and check the time "That should be any minute now."/b]

"I'd try Bagga Bagga the Hutt." Telly said, pointing to an uncharacteristically muscular Hutt flanked by Crolute guardsman. Telly, in his days on the Smuggler's Moon knew Bagga Bagga as legendary fellow in the underworld antiquities market. He also had his hands in smuggling and burglary rackets and was willing to offer capable gunslingers jobs in those departments in order to help him finance his passion for artifact collecting. Of course, he and his rebels had actually taken some jobs from Bagga Bagga to finance their recent purchases but that was neither here nor there. A rebellion needed supplies and with the Jedi Order swearing off material goods and the New Republic collapsing, Telly couldn't be too picky where he got his financing from.

"He's the biggest antiques dealer in this auction chamber. My guess, dear fellow, is that if he's not the one selling the blasted thing, he probably knows who is. Just be cautious with your approach - he's got a nasty temper." Telly warned

Perun's eyes followed Telly's gesture towards the imposing figure of Bagga Bagga the Hutt, his massive frame dominating the area around him like a malevolent mountain. The Ma'alkerrite Jedi Knight felt a shudder of unease ripple through his being as he took in the sight of the infamous Hutt, a creature whose reputation preceded him by parsecs. Perun knew that this encounter would require all the cunning and charm he could muster, lest he incur the wrath of the irascible crime lord. He flashed a grin at Ceris and Telly, the playful glint in his eyes belying the seriousness of the task at hand. "Well, my friends," he quipped, "it seems our journey has led us to the proverbial belly of the beast. Shall we proceed?"

As he cautiously approached the Hutt, Perun's senses were inundated by the cacophony of sights, sounds, and smells that filled the auction house. The murmur of hushed conversations, punctuated by the occasional raucous guffaw, filled the air like an exotic symphony, while the neon lights flickered and danced, casting shadows that seemed to writhe and pulse with a life of their own. The pungent aroma of sweat and smoke hung heavy in the air, a tangible reminder of the less-than-savory nature of the establishment and its patrons.

Despite the sensory overload, Perun focused his mind, attuning himself to the subtle currents of the Force that flowed through the room. He felt the ebb and flow of emotions from those around him – greed, fear, anticipation – and steeled his resolve, knowing that he must navigate these treacherous waters with finesse and poise.

As he drew nearer to Bagga Bagga, Perun felt a growing unease, like a dark cloud looming on the horizon, threatening to envelop him. He knew that the Hutt's temper was legendary, and that even the slightest misstep could result in a swift and brutal response. Yet, he also knew that he could not let fear dictate his actions. He was a Jedi Knight, and he had faced far greater challenges than this.

And so, with a nod to his companions, Perun approached the Hutt, his stride confident and his demeanor relaxed, yet alert. He chose his words with care, crafting a subtle blend of flattery and intrigue, hoping to pique the Hutt's interest and glean the information they sought. "Mighty Bagga Bagga," he began, his voice smooth and mellifluous, "your renown as the premier purveyor of rare and exotic artifacts is well known throughout the galaxy. We have come in search of a treasure said to be of great importance – a relic of the Jedi Order. Might you have any knowledge of such a prize, or perhaps point us in the direction of one who does?" As the words left his lips, Perun held his breath, acutely aware that the fate of their mission now hung in the balance, poised on the edge of a Hutt's mercurial whim.

Ceris promptly followed to go greet the Hutt. She's heard of the name before; if she can't manage to claim the prize she could at least try and make connections with the Hutt. Being on his good side may prove to be more useful than anything else that was being sold.

She let her accomplices do all the talking. Both of them seemed more knowledgeable about the Hutt, and were more social. The Hutt, lounged in his chair, examined the three individuals before speaking, particularly giving Ceris a much longer look. She maintained her gaze on him but could feel her heat increase its pace. "Hopefully he's just interested and doesn't know who I was..." she thought. It had been some time since she was recognized, but the amount of work she's done in the past against organizations such as the Hutt's may still linger.

"Hoo hoo hoo!" the muscular Hutt laughed as the odd trio came before him. "Jedi stuff? Only two types come to ask Bagga Bagga about Jedi stuff, hoo hoo! Sith and other Jedi! Which one are you?"

Bagga Bagga's guards chuckled obediently when their boss did and stopped just as obediently when the Hutt raised a hand for silence. Flexing his muscles and stretching out behind his prodigious booth full of strange and rare artifacts, the Hutt brought out a simple, yet beautifully carved wooden box, the inside of which - Perun could tell - pulsed with Force energies. Could this be the very thing he sought?

"I'm hoping you're Sith. Jedi never pay much!"

Perun's eyes sparkled with mischief as Bagga Bagga's laughter reverberated through the chamber, a sound as rich and dark as the shadows that clung to the Hutt's form. He sensed Ceris's apprehension, but knew that they must remain united in their purpose, despite the unease that coursed through their veins. The Force pulsed within the wooden box before them, tantalizingly close yet shrouded in mystery. Perun knew he must tread carefully, for the path before them was fraught with danger and deceit.

With a sly grin, the Ma'alkerrite Jedi Knight responded, his tone light and playful, yet laced with just a hint of intrigue. "Oh, mighty Bagga Bagga, I am but a humble collector, fascinated by the ancient history that surrounds us. As for my affiliations... well, let's just say that some things are better left unsaid." He paused for a moment, allowing the Hutt to mull over his words, before continuing. "As for the price, rest assured that we are prepared to offer a fair and generous sum, commensurate with the rarity and significance of the item in question."

As Perun spoke, he allowed the Force to flow through him, guiding his words and actions as he sought to maintain his anonymity and safeguard the true purpose of their quest. He was acutely aware of the weight of the Hutt's gaze upon him, as well as the ever-watchful eyes of the guards that flanked their imposing master. The air was thick with tension, a palpable energy that seemed to crackle and hum with the potential for violence or betrayal.

Sensing that they had piqued the Hutt's interest, Perun pressed on, his voice adopting a tone of genuine curiosity as he sought to glean more information about the artifact that lay hidden within the wooden box. "Mighty Bagga Bagga, the piece you hold before us seems to radiate with an energy that is at once ancient and timeless. We are eager to learn more about its origins and the story it has to tell. Could you perhaps enlighten us with your vast knowledge and expertise?" He cast a sidelong glance at Ceris and Telly, his eyes alight with a silent plea for their support and assistance in navigating the treacherous waters of the Hutt's domain.

Ceris stared at the wooden box mildly disappointed. "Should've known it wasn't going to be anything really interesting. What a scam. As the Hutt and Perun exchanged words, Ceris turned her head and looked around to see if there was anything of interest. She could find some wood carvings anywhere in the galaxy, probably much cheaper too.

"And no funny business, either, Bagga Bagga." Telly warned the Hutt, knowing how the great slug was prone to exaggeration and even outright lies when making a pitch. Bagga Bagga raised his arms in a defensive "who, me?" gesture and launched into his spiel.

"Well, my curious friend" Bagga Bagga began. I'm sure I could dazzle you with just how excruciatingly difficult old Jedi artifacts are to come by these days. What hasn't been lost to time or Palpatine's Purge has been picked apart or destroyed by collectors, scavengers, and thieves. And Bagga Bagga does count himself amongst them. But this right here is an ancient hyperspace map powered by kyber. I can't make heads or tails of it but a true Force user could and could unlock hyperspace lanes known and accessible only to Jedi. So, of course, I'd be reluctant to let it go, unless I knew it was going in the hands of a true Force User.

Perun listened intently to Bagga Bagga's words, his mind racing as he considered the implications of the ancient hyperspace map. The possibilities it held were both thrilling and daunting, and he knew that they could not allow such a powerful artifact to fall into the wrong hands. At the same time, he was all too aware of the risks involved in revealing his true identity as a Jedi Knight.

With a mischievous glint in his eyes, Perun weighed his options, ultimately deciding that a distraction was in order. He could sense Ceris's disappointment and Telly's skepticism, and knew that he must act swiftly and decisively to secure the artifact without arousing suspicion. And so, drawing upon the vast reserves of the Force that flowed through him, Perun set his plan into motion.

As the Hutt continued to extol the virtues of the hyperspace map, Perun reached out with his senses, subtly manipulating the environment around them. He could feel the ebb and flow of the crowd, their excitement and anticipation a palpable energy that seemed to pulse through the air. With a flick of his wrist, the Ma'alkerrite Jedi Knight sent a wave of invisible energy rippling through the room, causing a nearby display of rare and exotic weapons to topple over with a deafening crash.

The cacophony of sound and chaos that ensued was exactly what Perun had hoped for. As the crowd's attention was drawn to the commotion, he seized the opportunity to discreetly use the Force to lift the wooden box from the Hutt's grasp and slip it into his cloak. His heart raced as he felt the weight of the artifact settle against his side, a reminder of the immense responsibility that now rested upon his shoulders.

With the diversion in full swing, Perun flashed a knowing smile at Ceris and Telly, silently urging them to make their exit while the Hutt and his guards were preoccupied with the unfolding chaos. As they slipped away into the shadows, Perun couldn't help but feel a surge of triumph and exhilaration, tempered by the knowledge that their mission was far from over.

Ceris crossed her arms. If the box was truly an ancient hyperspace map, then its value was essentially limitless. She knew Jedi worlds were typically very well hidden, and typically where there were old Jedi worlds there were artifacts. This map could help explore the unknown regions. Whoever held the map essentially held a monopoly on newfound resources, land, and knowledge.

While thinking on the monumental pleasure she would feel being able to obtain that map, a crash of nearby weapons caused her to turn to the sound. "Someone is about to get fired." She chuckled at her own quip before turning back around, seeing the wooden box float into Perun's cloak. Her eyes widened a bit, not sure of what to do, but she followed his nudges to escape alongside him.

As they ran out of the venue Ceris was pondering what to do about to about the map. There was hardly a chance this force user, more than likely a Jedi, would hand it over willingly unless he had a good reason to do so. Nor would Ceris be able to forcefully take it from him. She'd have to find a way to catch him, turn him in, and then reap the rewards. She'd play a little game for now, to lure him in. "So since you're the special one here, does that map truly work? We could find uncover mysteries and secrets of the galaxy that have been lost for millennia!"

Bagga Bagga was indeed distracted for a time as Perun used the Force to causes a distraction. Unaware with what the Jedi had been planning, Telly was also a bit distracted before he saw a surrepitious tuck of Perun's cloak and watched the Jedi quickly depart. The great Hutt, instinctively reaching to hide away a valuable artifact in the midst of such chaos roared with fury when he realized it was no longer in his hands.

Telly swore as he whipped out his pistol and stunned one of the Crolute guards before them. The guard's massive bulk splayed into the crowd, adding further to the distraction that the Jedi had already caused. This was most certainly not what he had wanted from the outcome. Now, he'd burned a valuable bridge with Bagga Bagga and would probably have to beat a hasty retreat before the salky hounds had been properly transferred into his ownership. Furious, Telly followed Ceris and Perun until they slipped away into a shadowy alcove to discuss the map. However, the Pau'an wasn't quite in the mood to talk Jedi antiques at the moment. Training his CDEF blaster pistol on Perun's head, the old captain spoke, his former cheery tone gone.

"You stupid git. Do you realize what you've done? Bagga Bagga is going to be yet another person sending bounty hunters after me. Not to mention that I won't be able to collect the pack of salky hounds I just dropped Force knows how many credits on since I won't be allowed in that market for the rest of my long life. So let me ask, my simian friend, what are you going to do to make that right?"
