DESCRIPTION
The E-11D was a blaster designed specifically to address the shortcomings of the mass produced E-11 blaster rifle in mass circulation within the Empire. Very similar in design to the E-11 blaster rifle, it featured a stock and a large-bore reinforced barrel in order to maximize its rate of fire, intensity, and reliability. On top of this, ergonomics, weapon balance, and quality of materials and workmanship were cited as key components to the creation of this rifle. Although as much as triple the cost in credits as a standard E-11 blaster rifle, the resulting E-11D variant had significantly increased ranged and accuracy over it's mass produced cousin, earning it a significant amount of favor amongst the Imperial elite, and eventually finding widespread adoption throughout Imperial Special Forces and the Death Trooper corps. The E-11D is a high quality, modular weapon system renowned for it's accuracy during the Galactic Civil War. It has the option to mount additional attachments such as scopes, lasers, flashlights, and grips, if the user so desires. Given the blaster's excellent handling characteristics, reliability, and accuracy, Sonn-Blas Corporation resumed manufacture of a smaller production run of these quality firearms.
LEGALITY
Legal. Ownership of blaster rifles is not restricted in most of the Galaxy, however openly carrying such a weapon in public might be on more "civilized" worlds. On less civilized worlds, it still might draw unwanted scrutiny.
INTENT
To create a high-end blaster rifle.
RESTRICTIONS
Although uncommon and highly expensive (triple the cost of a single E-11), the E-11D is not impossible to get a hold of if one has enough credits, influence, or thieving ability.
