Sotan Grey stopped dead in his tracks, leaving a shower of mud behind him. He grimaced as his eyes glanced over the cliff face - this chase had led to a dead end. He had stolen a valuable - particularly valuable on the black market - Sith lightsaber, and some kook had bothered to chase him all the
way through the forest to get it back.

Torrential rains were pounding the planet, turning the ground into a runny mush of dirt and grass. A single gap in the tree canopy offered the only source of light in the gloomy afternoon, and even then, all one could see were the dark rainclouds.

Sotan's agility suit was able to heat him.. but on the outside he was still wet as a flood. He looked down at his shotos, huge raindrops dripping off of the edges of the emitter. His hands fell to his belt, ready to draw the weapons at a split second's notice.

"It seems I've hit a dead end in my endeavor to escape the clutches of your blade, friend,

Combat is imminent."

OOC: Sorry for the extended delay, life has been crazy on my end of the screen. We should be good to go now however.

PS: Loving me some Nightwing. ;)

IC:

Kattatha, an immense creature both in physical presence and in his Force signature, patiently stalked his prey. The torrential rains of the planet matted his white fur, though he barely noticed. So intent on the man, Sotan Grey, was he that little else concerned him at the moment.

Up ahead the wookie noticed a break in the canopy, a sliver of light shone through as if signalling the end to his journey through the dark jungle regions. What lay ahead however, he soon found out to be a cliff.

Sotan Grey was trapped, this was the end of the line. One of them would not leave this place alive. That realization caused the wookie to sneer viciously as he took a final step that brought him only a few yards away from the man he had stalked. "It seems I've hit a dead end in my endeavor to escape the clutches of your blade, friend, combat is imminent."

Kattatha had to agree. The build up to battle was something he savored greatly, he drew upon the tension and anger, could almost taste the fear and aggression. Now however, now it was time to put that anticipation aside and enjoy what was to come. Win or lose, this is where Kattatha truly felt alive. The feel of the Dark Side flowing through his body, his blood excited by the danger, at no other time did the Acolyte warrior feel true power than at times like this.

<<Indeed it is, friend.>> Kattatha replied to his prey in Shyriiwook, the time for games was over. Having no other words to offer, Kattatha took one of his two lightsabers from his belt and lit his blade. The crimson glow gave off an eerie light in the rain, the red seemed to foreshadow the blood that would soon be spilled.

Kattatha's first move was not to engage physically however. Seeing as his prey was already at a disadvantage with only a sheer drop off behind him, the Sith acolyte sought the easiest path to victory, he simply unleashed the power of the Dark Side and attempted to push the man over the cliff.

Kattatha's empowered push easily.. pushed Sotan off the cliff. He made no attempt to defend from it, no Force Barrier or crossed blades.. for several seconds the Acolyte would hear nothing but Sotan's body whipping down into the winds.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzip!

At the edge of the cliff, a small grappling hook anchors itself in a small pile of rocks. A strange sound, like somebody zipping up a zipper on a coat, would come up from over the edge of the cliff. In a flash Sotan reappeared with a sly grin - obviously taunting his opponent - and flicked the cable off his wrist. Both of his shotos were out in a flash and he charged at the Acolyte, back hunched over and arms spinning behind him. Finally Grey jumped and raised both of his 'lightdaggers' over his head and brought them down on top of Kattatha in a supercharged flurry of swipes and slashes. Sotan was a fast hitter and he'd certainly make that known to his opponent!

As soon as Kattatha saw the cable hook attach to the cliff face he knew that the man would not fall to his death, this one was obviously crafty. Good. There would have been no fun to be found in such an easy victory. The Wookie always appreciated a good fight, and it looks like he may have found one.

Just as the man came to stand again on the cliff face, flashing him a sly smile, Kattatha reached for his second lightsaber and lit the blade. The twin red lights illuminated the area ominously, reflecting outwardly the rage that was contained in the soul of their wielder.

He had intended to charge the man first, but Sotan Grey appeared to have the same idea and charged the massive Wookie. Whereas Kattatha had immense strength, this man had great speed. That was apparent the moment he let loose with his first blinding strikes with his duel shoto blades, it was everything the Wookie could do just to deflect them all. Even then, he was driven back a few steps back toward the forest.

His keen eyes and warrior's reflexes were searching for an opening, even if it was small, in order to try and stop the man's offensive. As he continued to keep pace deflecting the numerous strikes he found one, after countering one last strike he put a bit more muscle into it and tried to throw the man's arm wide then let slip a quick low roundhouse kick to the man's lead leg. It would hurt if it struck, but more Kattatha hoped it would throw him off balance and create a opportunity for a more lethal strike.

Sotan's arm was easily swiped away by Kattatha's muscled hit, sending his shoto flying out of his hand. He dropped from his midair state and quickly after that the massive acolyte's leg was swinging into Sotan. Quickly enough - he thought - he backflipped a few feet away, and with the Force retrieved his first shoto.

"Fast-paced! I like it!"
