Saryn Karoth had just arrived on Taris, clambering out of his small, battered fighter, the Blokk. he had been here, once, to nake a delivery for his father. That life seemed like ages ago as his hand absently felt for the lightsaber attached to his belt. He knew that now that he was a Sith, wandering around the Upper City would attract undue attention to himself. The Zabrak made a beeline for the elevators, taking them all the way down.

Stepping out of the elevator and into the Undercity, he drew his hood over his horned head. He simply walked past a few beggars, ignoring their cries for credits. He walked through the gates and out of the city, into what passed for wilderness in this city-covered planet. He wanted to be alone. Saryn suddenly felt the presence of another being.

Rosa whistled quietly to herself, a happy grin on her face as she prowled the undercity of Taris in search of a job or a bounty target. She guessed the prowling part itself was relaxing, though she couldn't quite recall how she had arrived to Taris. As she wandered around, pondering this latest curiosity, she spotted someone that definitively did not belong.

While everyone here had a certain way of walking to them, like if living was painful. That and a lack of personal hygiene caused them to look and smell like crap. This person was too clean, too sure of himself, and the fact that he just got off a lift to the worse part of the city made him stand out.

Rosa took his outline and compared it to the database of wanted men in the galaxy. A hit immediately came up. The person was wanted.... for the murder of his parents. As she processed this information and read the file, the grin dropped from her face. While she could tolerate murder and understand why it must be committed sometimes, the murder of one's parents was something that she could not stand for nor ever understand. Blood was thicker then all, something this Zabrak clearly didn't understand.

Rosa pulled out and sealed her helmet, booting up the HUD as she did. She ducked into a darkened alley and waited for the man to pass her before counting to 5. After 5 seconds, she pulled out one of her revolvers, held it in her right hand, and walked out of the alley. The Zabrak was a good distance away from her and she quietly brought the revolver up and aimed it at the Zabrak's back. She spoke up, voice filled with venom.

"So, yer Saryn Karoth aren't'cha? Da scum who beat 'is parents with a smithin' 'ammer? Am Ah wrong?"

Saryn turned quickly to face the female voice who had accosted him. The fingers on his left hand twitched nervously, centimeters away from the lightsaber at his belt. The Acolyte smiled at the bounty hunter's words. "That is true. I'm Saryn, and I beat my parents to death. They were holding me back." Saryn threw his head back and laughed, then looked down the barrel of the revolver leveled at him. He could cut the blaster in half with a thought, but he wanted to wait and see what this human was going to do, first. "Do you have a problem with that?"

Rosa leveled the pistol, pointing it at the ground. While she would want to do nothing more then drop the cocky bastard where he stood, the file said that he had force potential. While she didn't know if he had further developed it since he ran, she was still willing to give him a chance to turn himself in. All the while she slowly positioned herself so she could jump back into the alley.

"How 'bout this. Ah give ya a chance ta just forget all 'bout that an' 'and yerself in. This doesn't hafta end in bloodshed. Ev'rybody can get outta 'ere alive. Refuse? Well, Ah guess we ain't got no choice but ta fight till one o' us can't an'more."

As Rosa spoke, her finger discreetly flicked the safety on the revolver, a movement that was all but unnoticeable to everyone but the most sharp eyed person or one that was well versed in the use of ballistic firearms.

Saryn laughed again at her words. "Well, you see, that may be a problem. I have no intention of turning myself in, nor do I have any intention of letting you go alive." Saryn pulled his lightsaber to his hand using the Force, igniting it instantly as it hit his hand. He stood with his saber in front of him, ready to deflect any slugs the bounty hunter shot. He couldn't let the helmeted female leave, she knew too much. He knew that it would be his life or hers.

Rosa sighed at Saryn's deceleration. As she sighed, she waved her revolver with clearly exaggerated motions. Finally, her pistol came to rest at her side as she spoke quietly to herself.

"Well, 'e can't blame me for not tryin' da diplomatic route. Well, if ya think ya can keep me from gettin' out alive, yer welcome ta try~!"

Without so much as a seconds notice, Rosa's arm whipped forward and she squeezed off three shots, sending the first two to each side of the chest and the last one to the thigh, aiming to puncture a lung or maybe the femoral artery. Even though she didn't know the name of the artery itself, she knew that the thigh was a kill shot in most humanoids.

Furthermore, ss Rosa fired the shots, she jumped to the side, causing her to fire each shot with her in a different position. The first shot was fired while she was standing, the second with her halfway to the alley and partially in the air, and the last shot was fired mere nanoseconds before she landed into the alley with her completely in the air.

As Rosa landed, she spun around, using her left hand as a turning point to bring her back to a crouching position, switching on her infrared vision as she did by tapping a button with the frame of the revolver. She started to back up quickly in hopes of getting to another alley before Saryn caught up with her, keeping her revolver trained on the entrance while her free hand reached to her backpack to pull out another weapon, maybe her axe, shortsword, shotgun, or assault rifle.

The alley itself was flanked by two one story buildings and had very little illumination. This particular alley was connected to a whole series of alleyways formed by similar small one story buildings, forming a maze.

Saryn felt the ripples in the Force as the shots rang out, he moved his lightsaber accordingly, with speed born of long practice at the academy. He ran at the alley, coming in at a shallow angle. Using the Force, he jumped high, running along the opposite wall. Quickly finding the female using the Force, he aimed his right hand at her and launched a bolt of Force Lightning at her, while at the same time kicking off the wall, bringing saber overhead, then slashing down, meaning to cut her in half.

Rosa watched as the Sith came running towards her, running along the wall. As he raised his hand, Rosa spun around and stuck to the wall, feeling the lightning pass by her, tasting the ozone through her helmet.

As Rosa threw herself to the wall, she threw herself down the alley as Saryn soared over her, removing her shotgun from her backpack and flipping the safety off and setting the shotgun to fully automatic fire as she did while dropping her revolver so her right hand could grip the forestock after landing.

As Saryn landed behind her, Rosa landed and spun around using the same movement that she had used before, this time using her right hand as a turning. However, this time, as she stood up, she brought the shotgun up with her, grabbing the forestock with her right hand, and squeezed the trigger, firing 4 shotgun shells at Saryn while retreating, each and every shell loaded with wide spread buckshot.

As Saryn landed, he heard Rosa's footsteps retreating back down the dingy alley. He snarled, and as he did so, turned and tapped into the nearly bottomless reservoir that was his emotions and blasted Force energy down the alley, a wall of telekinetic power, knocking dumpsters and garbage out of the alleyway. The buckshot was slowed practically to a stop, falling harmlessly to the ground.

The Zabrak hesitated for a moment. Honestly, he had never actually fought anyone who had used guns before. This was a situation where none of his usual tactics would work. He would have to try something different. He closed his eyes for a moment, he created an illusion in his own image, complete with lightsaber. He made the illusion burst out into the street, running straight out and across, then arcing around the far side of the bounty hunter, hoping she would be distracted enough to turn her gaze from the alley. The Sith took a deep breath and sprinted out of the alley once the female would be looking the other way. He reached the female and if she was looking the other way, he would stab at her chest, trying to pierce her heart.

As Rosa exited the Alley, instead of going straight back into the middle of the street, she had dodged around the corner to catch her breath and to use the corner as cover in case of any straight moving attacks. It was when she was catching her breath that the doppelganger exited the alley and entered the opposite alley.

Now while Rosa wasn't super smart nor was she extremely stupid, but it didn't take too much to figure out that something was up. When the person who's been only using head on attacks suddenly uses strategy, it's generally a warning sign.

As such, Rosa responded by continuing to retreat backwards and into the middle of the street, in an attempt to gain some distance. All the while, she kept the entrance of both alleyways in sight as she retreated so that she would be capable of intercepting the Sith no matter which exit he choose to exit from, just in case the person that had rushed past her earlier really was the actual Sith. Suddenly, the Sith dashed out from the original alley, charging her like an angry bull in an attempt to stab her in the chest.

Rosa jumped to the side, letting the Sith charge past her. As she landed from her jump, she spun around and let loose the last four shells of wide spread buckshot into the unguarded back of the Sith before throwing the now empty shotgun itself at the Sith, hoping to hit him somewhere. As she threw the shotgun at the Sith with her left hand, she pulled out her second revolver with her right hand. As she completed the throw, she flicked her forearm and brought the forearm blade's grip into her hands.

As Rosa brought the blade's grip into her hands, she prepared herself to jump once again. If needed, she was willing to put the Sith down with extreme firepower if she needed to. However, she would like for the body to stay recognizable so she could bring it in for the full bounty.

Saryn Karoth had again been outmaneuvered, and he again unleashed a blast of Force at the mercenary, not so much at her, but to slow the buckshot. This time, it had been at closer range, and he wasn't as successful at stopping the projectiles. They pellets pelted the Zabrak's body, not penetrating the skin, but stinging like a bitch. Saryn gritted his teeth as he again focused on the female, this time trying a ranged attack of his own, manipulating the dumpster that until recently was in the alley, with a flick of his hand, aiming to pin Rosa between it and the wall, crushing her.

Rosa had been facing the dumpster when it was thrown at her and had jumped to the side before the dumpster even reached the spot where she was, laughing as she did. As Rosa jumped to the side though, she had holstered her revolver again As she finished her jump and the dumpster sailed past her, she spoke up, first in a taunting voice before changing to a voice that sounded much more happier and carefree. This entire match amused her. The Sith never had a chance, he was too slow from the beginning.

"'hat was da best ya got? Well, ya sure know 'ow ta make a girl want more~ Well, time ta end this~"

While she spoke, she had been reaching for her assault rifle. As soon as she finished speaking she brought it forward, flicking the safety off and setting it to full auto. The gun roared as it burned through it's ammunition at 1000R/M, each bullet leaving the muzzle at 1000M/S. Rosa didn't aim the assault rifle. The sith was about 100 meters away, thanks to his stupid charging, and she knew that even on full auto, the rifle had an effective distance of approximately 500 meters on full auto. Rather she was aiming to merely overwhelm the Sith's defenses and turn him into swiss cheese. In two seconds, the entire magazine was gone.

Rosa slung the empty assault rifle onto her back and pulled out the revolver once more, her left forearm blade still in her grip.

Saryn Karoth went wide-eyed for a second as the assault rifle was brandished. All out of defenses, he closed his eyed and braced himself as the rounds tore him to pieces.

I'm going to refrain from posting till you change that post. I've already had an admin look into it and you should have received a message from him.

ADMIN: Apologies for the delayed ruling, completely forgot. >_>

Anyways, I've read the thread top to bottom. I have very serious issues with several of Saryn's posts, but for convenience's sake I'm sticking with the post that raises the most red flags with me.

There's a host of reasons why this wouldn't work. First, you're at very close range. The distances involved in this fight would mean that the buckshot might as well be travelling at light speed - you cannot react fast enough to summon a super powerful telekinetic burst that autoblocks the buckshot, especially when it's multiple blasts of buckshot coming after your character. To be perfectly blunt, your character should have taken a hit there - a bad one, considering that she attacked about the same time your character would have been recovering from his failed attack. He should have been caught off-guard.

Now, that aside, if I ignored that and skipped to your last post where you hid from a high-caliber assault rifle behind a simple dumpster, then... Well, to be honest, that would definitely have killed you. Dumpsters aren't particularly sturdy, not against 7.76MM rounds. Rosa's fire would have penetrated both sides of the dumpster, and would have retained enough kinetic energy to kill or gravely wound your character upon exiting.

Since it'd be inconvenient for all involved for me to ask you to back up to the first point, I'm going to ask you to take at least 2 nasty hits from Rosa's burst of assault rifle fire. They don't have to kill, but they do have to cause disabling injury. [ie; loses use of an arm or leg, shot through the lung, etc]

That's all. Edit your last post so that you take damage, Saryn, and remember to tone down any attacks you make in that post accordingly since, obviously, you won't be running about like a ninja after getting shot up.

(Gonna go ahead and finish this. Got a problem with it? PM me about it.)

Fortunately for Saryn, the rounds that were fired from the assault rifle were all FMJ, meaning that the bullets wouldn't leave horrifying exit wounds and turning his organs into mush. Unfortunately, this meant that his lungs, heart, and other various organs were sliced to fleshy ribbons, allowing him to live for a minute or two more, all the while bleeding out. As the bullets passed through the Sith, half of them managed to miss important organs. Still, a good half of them hit and shredded his internal organs, one of them smashing through his spine just below the stomach.

As the Sith fell to the ground, bleeding, Rosa took aim once again, pumping 6 shots of .500 JHP into the Sith. Needless to say, those six bullets turned his internal organs into mush. The Sith died before he could hit the ground.
