BIOGRAPHY

Coming from a large family, Duali was not anymore special than her brothers and sisters. Echani siblings have a tendency to look the same, nearly identical no matter how many years lie in between their births. Instead, body language speaks volumes more than any words could muster. Duali was taught the importance of distinguishing herself from those around her. She learned the ways of the Echani: the poetic flow of combat as well as the honor and discipline that follows, which caused her to appear stoic and reserved. Yet, Duali always felt like there was something missing from the way she lived. During many spars, she would stop before a decisive victory. Whether Duali hesitated due to a lack of anger, boredom over what little the opponent said in their movement, or simply because it had begun to feel meaningless was hard to tell. She often gazed at the night sky feeling empty and foreign on her own home planet. It felt as though she was searching for something. Some other purpose that left her feeling like a lone wanderer in the sea of stars.

Whispers of resistance had spread and her father, a hidden supporter, encouraged her to find this hidden alliance and learn from them, as there was still much she did not know. With nothing but weapons of her homeworld, she scoured the galaxy in search of an alliance, which was eventually found on an overlooked farm world. It was here where her force sensitivity was confirmed, and she was able to forge her own lightsaber based on Echani design, so that she may never forget her roots.

Personality

Having been raised right, Duali is an ideal Echanti, bearing a fighting spirit within her reserved appearance. Yet, deep down, she longs for a sense of individuality she could not attain on her homeworld. She sometimes lacks patience with others, however, as she tends to be quick to assume the kind of person someone is based on their first encounter.

Appearance

Duali stays true to her heritage in the sense that she favors light armor or simply robes. She primarily wears a white tunic fastened by a black belt. Over this, she wears a blue-green robe with a white triangular pattern at the base of the sleeves. Duali also wears long black leggings complete with shin guards that extend down to her light sandals. Aside from these clothes, however, her light grey hair is often seen tied back by a black ribbon, which matches her equally dark scarf.

Skills

Echani Training: In addition to being an expert at hand to hand combat, Duali was taught the importance of body language and is able to subtly pick up non-verbal cues. This has also led to her being decently proficient with many melee weapons.

One with the Force: The Force uses Duali's honed vessel as a conduit for its will.

Frequent Flyer: During her trek to discover the Galactic Alliance, Duali managed to pick up quite a few skills when it comes to piloting a ship across the galaxy.

Grey Blur: Striving to distinguish herself from her siblings, the girl had honed her speed from a young age, leading to her being faster than the average Echani. Whether or not the Force had anything to do with this is still up in the air.

Unfortunately the lightsaber from an ancestor who was a Jedi will have to go. We have rules regarding artifacts from last TL, and this would count as one. It would be unfair to everyone else who had to earn these artifacts through plots, and only if the artifact itself was set aside back then. The whole Jedi ancestor angle will have to go, as it goes against the legacy character rules. 500 years is an impossibly long time for such information to have been retained.
