Descending quietly from the stairwell, Yuuta had to duck back down the foot of the stairs before he could proceed when he heard voices somewhere to his left. Pressing himself against the wall after sneaking past the adjacent hall, the Ranger spotted a pait of Rodians conversing in their language, one of them sporting a ring with the purple gemstone on his right thumb. The pair shared a laugh about whatever they were talking about before proceeding towards the stairwell Yuuta had just been at, still joking with each other as they ascended. He waited until their voices grew fainter before stepping out of his hiding spot.

Vibrosword at the ready the Ranger proceeded down the hall the two Rodians emerged from, noting the numbered doors dotting the hall. Through the Force he could feel presences behind some of the doors, though he could tell that whoever they might be they remained unaware that Rangers had infiltrated the pub. One door caught his attention, the presence behind it emitting agitation and fear. Before he could try to open it, however, a loud whimper – voice distinctly feminine – echoed from behind closed doors, followed by cruel laughter.

Charcoal eyes narrowed with anger. nuYuuta drew the Force around him before waving his free hand, willing the door to slide open. His cold gaze was met by the sight of a Devaronian's broad back, followed by a cowering Zygerrian woman on the floor.

"Please, help!" begged the woman the moment she caught sight of an unfamiliar human stepping inside the room. The Devaronian turned on the spot and found Yuuta standing by the door. A necklace with the gemstone as a pendant hung around his neck.

Another dissenter.

The Devaronian snarled angrily at the sudden intrusion, pulling out a wicked-looking knife and rushing towards Yuuta. The Ranger stood his ground before sidestepping the attack, followed by a fluid flick of his weapon. The Devaronian's arm holding the knife dropped on the floor with a soft 'thud', and before he could scream out in pain the Ranger followed up with another wave of his free hand, sending the other male flying headfirst back into the room. The Devaronian's skull met duracrete with a sickening crunch. Belatedly Yuuta checked if the bastard was still alive, and only after confirming that the latter was did he proceed to fall on one knee beside the fallen Zygerrian woman.

She looked hurt... there were cuts on her face and arms, along with an ugly bruise that marred the left side of her face.

"I'm very sorry you have to see that," Yuuta apologized by way of greeting, extending a hand for her to take. "I'm ISC Ranger Yuuta Graves. What did he do to you?"

Her eyes were sill wide, pupils blown with terror at what she had been through. It probably didn't help that the first action her supposed savior did was to dismember her tormentor and send the bastard flying using some kind of unseen force. Her chest heaved with short but rapid breaths, one sign of a panic attack, and Yuuta only managed to calm her down when he showed her his badge and muttered one assurance after another.

"H-He caught me tryin' to sneak into the other r-rooms, tryin' to free the– the o-others they took f-from their homes for votin'– votin' in favor of the ISC's presence here in Dress– Dressel," she stammered, tears welling up her eyes as she wrapped her arms around herself.

Yuuta's eyes widened with a mixture of pity and indignation. So the dissenters weren't just hurting or killing those who were pro-ISC, they resorted to kidnapping as well. Most probably to scare those into going against the ISC, or simplu for not being able to see eye to eye with them. The Ranger helped the Zygerrian up on her feet, helping her sit on a nearby chair. He found a blanket on the cot on the corner and draped it over her shoulders.

"We're here to put a stop to all of these, me and my partner," he assured the Zygerrian woman, offering her a kind smile while attending to the unconscious Devaronian's bleeding stump. After wrapping the wound up and tying up the dissenter with a length of rope that was conveniently hanging by a nail on the wall, Yuuta plucked the stun baton hanging off his belt and pressed it into the woman's waiting hand.

"Feel free to knock him out again if he tries anything funny when he wakes up," he told her with a wink as he walked out of the room. "I passed by other doors before stopping here. Do you know..."

She swallowed before nodding once, catching where he was going with the question. "They're keepin' us all down the hall here, sayin' we're customers stayin' in as cover."

"I have a favor to ask of you, miss...?"

"Leeda. M'name's Leeda, Ranger Graves."

Yuuta smiled as the expression on Leeda's face turned into determination. "Can you round up the other kidnapped people, tell them why I'm here? Right now there are only three guards where I came from up the escape hatch on the roof. One of them's sleeping and won't alert the others of my presence. The other two are Rodians, and they're headed up there last I saw them. Can I count on you and the others to overpower them and block off that escape route?"

"Hells yeah, we can, Ranger,"
she assured him, rising from her seat. "Least we could do for ya lawmen."

The Zygerrian then nodded at him in thanks, holding onto the stun baton like a lifeline as they exited the room. The door closed behind them and he delved further down the hall while Leeda headed off to do what she was told. He found another stairwell, this one leading to the main gambling room according to the sign. Through the Force he could feel a familiar presence in the area, and after quietly descending he caught sight of the empty gambling hall and Shan by the entrance.

To the left of the gambling hall was the door to the private room the female Twi'lek had drawn on the map. Waving over at Shan Yuuta gestured that he would proceed to approach the room.

Before he could take a step forward the door to the private room slid open, and five people stepped out including the leader of the dissenters. The civilians' description was accurate down to the leader's scar.

"Hey, the gambling hall's not open yet," one of the dissenters told Shan, the group having seen the Tiss'Shar first. The Dresselian dissenter shifted where he stood, turning to Yuuta's direction and guessing correctly where the human had recently been. His eyes widened at the sight of the bloodstained vibrosword the human Ranger was holding. "Hey, you! Human! What are you doin' there?!"

Why didn't the Force warn me when I needed it most!

Cover blown, Yuuta dove behind a gambling table when one of the dissenters tried to shoot him, the blaster bolt missing him by a wide margin. Hell broke loose in the gambling hall after that one shot.

Shan was looking around at the gambling hall trying to find a way to quietly get around the tables without being seen. But it appeared he had been spotted by one of the dissenters as he was yelled with a clear message about the gambling hall not being open. The reptile was planning to try catching the bloke off guard by attempting to sweet talk him long enough to knock him out. But that plan went down the drain when the dissenter opened fire. Not on Shan but.. on his comrade?!

Shan hissed as he ducked behind another table, flipping the furniture in the process, as others began to open fire. Shan didn't have a chance to get a head count before having to take cover as some stray bolts came in his direction as well. The raptor dared to take a peek around the table. Five were firing. One he could make out as the leader that was described to them.

The reptilian ranger looked at the two dissenters that were closest to him. Yes they will be his targets. Taking them out will draw there fire towards him and give his partner a window to end this here and now or at least get himself to a better source of cover than that table he is behind that will surely shatter into pieces if it takes anymore blaster bolts.

Hissing Shan used the flipped table he was using for cover as a springboard to help him clear the tables between him and his two targets. The first to come into contact with Shan.. well it was safe to say he was knocked out from being knocked to the floor as his head hit the floor so hard as Shan tackled him. The second will be killed. This will occur as Shan grabbed the barrel of his blaster, forcing him to aim away from Shan as he attempted to shoot him. The Raptor will then fire point blank into the dissenter's abdomen.

Now it is only the leader and two of the remaining dissenters left.

As the Raptor aimed for his action drew their attention from Yuuta to Shan as they now started firing at him. One of the blaster bolts sizzling across his right shoulder. Because of being used to pain the Raptor didn't pay much attention to it though it did work at angering the reptile. Something that took great restraint to control so he didn't rip the remaining three dissenters to shreds where they stood.

Make that the ring leader and one other all thanks to a third foolishly charging at Shan. Did he not see what happened to the other two? This one will be knocked out like the first one he took out though. The Raptor figured that this one may be the one to give investigators the information they need if the ringleader refused to talk. This knock out will happen as Shan knocked him away by using his tail as a makeshift bat sending the man crashing over a few nearby tables.

That was.. very satisfying. And for a moment it seemed to put the other two into a stunned silence until they remembered what they were doing.

As he dodged their blaster fire to keep the remaining two focused on him the Raptor made sure to keep them out in the open where they stood so that his comrade had an opening. While the ringleader did sound to be the intelligent type; Shan couldn't help but mentally insult the guy for not realizing his mistake at not scramblimg for cover while he had the chance instead of standing there stunned.

Wood chips and dust fell on Yuuta as the dissenters open fired towards his hiding spot, and the moment Shan moved to return the assault the dark-haired Ranger rose to his feet and followed the Tiss'Shar's lead.

He was mindful of Shan's presence through the Force, not even batting an eye as the life signature of one of the dissenters blipped out of existence like a dying candle. There was a flash of pain from his partner followed by a spark of anger. Yuuta leapt over tables, charcoal gaze fixed on the leader of the dissenters. With Shan keeping the remaining thugs and the leader out in the open the older Ranger was free to let loose with the Force.

Drawing the Force around him Yuuta reached out for one of the gambling tables and made a sweeping gesture with one hand, coiling the Force around the gambling table and letting it fly towards the leader of the dissenters. Alerted by the human Ranger's approach and the sudden display of power the leader jumped out of the way and watched with wide eyes as the gambling table crashed where he previously stood. His remaining henchman shifted to face Yuuta, displaying either courage or stupidity in facing the human Ranger rather than continue shooting at the Tiss'Shar. The dark-haired male didn't waste time in pondering and instead met the thug head on, vibrosword cutting the henchman's blaster in half upon closing the distance between them. With his back to the leader, Yuuta felt a warning through the Force before sidestepping to the henchman's left just as the leader raised his own blaster and fired.

The blaster bolt struck the henchman square on the chest instead, the shot clearly meant for Yuuta's back. Turning to face the leader of the dissenters, the Ranger didn't give the other man the chance to fully rise to his feet. Yuuta threw his vibrosword towards the bastard, guiding it's trajectory through the Force and hitting the latter on his left shoulder. The leader cried out in pain as he fell and was subsequently pinned to the floor by the sword.

"You bastards!" screamed the leader with fury, trying but failing to remove the vibrosword from his shoulder. "You– You will pay for this!"

"No, we won't,"
Yuuta replied coldly as he approached the downed mastermind behind the ISC ambassador's murder. "But you will. You are hereby under arrest for the murder of the ISC Ambassador to Dressel, illegal detention, kidnapping, grave threat, and aggravated assault."

Kicking the leader's blaster out of reach, Yuuta grabbed his weapon by the handle and proceeded to pull it off of the man's shoulder. Blood oozed from between the leader's wound as he gripped his injured shoulder. Flicking the blood off of the blade and sheathing it back to its scabbard, Yuuta coiled the Force around the criminal and raised the latter to a standing position. Suspended in the air and trapped in a stasis, the leader could only struggle futilely against the invisible hold.

Footsteps thundered from the second floor, and Yuuta looked up just in time to see Leeda and her companions. The group seemed to be successful in overpowering the pair of Rodian guards and the burly human guarding the escape hatch. The Zygerrian woman grinned at the sight of the leader of the dissenters, beaten and bound.

"We got 'em, Ranger Graves– whoah!" Leeda exclaimed when she caught sight of Shan, eyes wide as she looked between the two Rangers. "He the guy wit' ya?"

Hand outstretched towards the criminal mastermind and keeping him bound with the use of the Force, Yuuta looked up at the Zygerrian with a boyish grin. The anger he felt at the crimes done to these innocent people was now simmering down with the culprit's arrest.

"Yeah," he replied before patting his belt to check if he'd brought a pair of handcuffs with him. He would let Shan introduce himself with the group of kidnapped civilians. Chuckling awkwardly in embarrassment upon finding none, Yuuta flashed Shan an apologetic grin and rubbed a hand on the back of his neck gingerly. "Got some handcuffs with you, Shan? I seem to have forgotten mine in the ship..."

The raptor couldn't help it when he cringed as his partner's vibrosword penetrated the crime leader's shoulder. Consequently as the criminal fell backwards to the floor he was effectively pinned in lace unable to make any escape. With an injury like that it wouldn't be long for him to become exhausted due to the loss of blood. The reptile hissed with amusement as the leader verbally lashed out at the two rangers. The leader is clearly all words at this point. Shan watched with some amusement as Yuuta removed his vibrosword from the leader's shoulder. The reptile was still amazed at his partner's skills in regards to his use of the force. He couldn't help but imagine the hours his partner went through to get this much control. Even as Leeda and the rest of her group came into view with their report. The raptor snorted a little bit as they seemed to gawk at the Tiss. Yeah it isn't everyday that someone gets to be in the presence of a Tiss. But they didn't have to stare at him as they are now. How rude.

"I am Ranger Shan." He simply told the group, hissing with annoyance when some in the group continued to stare at the reptile.

Shan was working to catch his breath. They had finally caught the ring leader the teonrangers had been tasked to capture. While they still had to cuff the man and get him to either one of the two rangers' ships. It was safe to say that it is alright to relax and ease whatever tension remained.

Hearing his partner chuckling Shan looked to the force sensitive just as Yuuta asked him if he had any handcuffs. The reptile nodded, "Yes, I do have a pair of handcuffs on me. I got you covered, Ranger Yuuta." He replied as the raptor's hand went straight to where his handcuffs are on his belt. Handing them to Yuuta he looked at the Zygerrian, hissing quietly as he remembered someone of his race being among those who captured him and forced him to leave his home. Unlike his captors however this Zygerrian will be paying the consequences for his crimes. Which put Shan at ease.

"I can carry him back to our ships." He offered thinking that between the excessive use of the force and the affects of the poison Yuuta might be exhausted.

It was over. The dark-haired Ranger was once again acquainting himself with the reality as the rush of adrenaline and the scuffle started wearing off. Shoulders drooping, Yuuta could only offer Shan another apologetic grin though this time was now laced with relief. The two Rangers completed their task without any casualty on their side, save for exhaustion and the effects of the drugs that Yuuta hadn't managed to fully stave off. He'd managed to hold on when it mattered, and that was what's important.

At leat he didn't end up becoming deadweight for his companion to literally carry throughout the scuffle.

"Thank you," he offered his counterpart with another smile that was now more bright and genuine. Yuuta looked up at the kidnapped group and made a subtle gesture for them to not stare at his partner too much when he felt a slight hint of annoyance from the Tiss'Shar through the Force. The group were quick to comply, with some polite and brave enough to offer Shan an apology as Leeda rounded up the group and led them downstairs.

Yuuta swayed a little where he stood, willing himself to further fight the exhaustion from using the Force in combat and at the same time trying to purge the effects of the sleeping drugs in his system. He might have been trained by a Jedi but he was not one, and he still didn't have the same mastery his trainer possessed. The dark-haired Ranger occupied the nearest chair before plucking out his commlink. With his and Shan's job done, their final task was to inform Dresselian authorities that they have managed to capture the leader of the dissenters. The offenders would then face the wrath of both the ISC and the Dresselian government for the terror and deaths they caused.

He also sent a message to the local authorities to handle the kidnapping cases, with Leeda and her group as witnesses. With the cases and evidences against them, the dissenters won't have any hope for being acquitted from their crimes and the only logical thing to do was to plead guilty. There weren't much they could do to avoid life in prison anyway.

The leader of the dissenters was soon cuffed, and any of his surviving underlings restrained. He let go of his telekinetic hold on the leader, letting the bastard crumple in a heap on the carpeted floor with an "oomph!"

Rising from his seat after making the calls, Yuuta approached Shan and gave his partner a friendly pat on the shoulder – all the while making sure that his actions were all non-threatening.

"Guess that's that. We did it!" Yuuta's bright smile was infectious. "It's been an absolute honor working with you, Ranger Shan. Here's to another one sometime in the future, and with the same triumphant result!"
