Biography
[beebox3=600px]Dravos Okme was born on Duro, home world of the Duros. At least that is what he’s told. He does not remember much of his family, or his early childhood. As far as he could gather, his father was either an explorer or a freighter pilot, who got attacked by raiders while having Drav on board. It is unclear what happened with his father during the attack, but Drav was taken by the raiders and was raised by them.

He was not the only one taken this way. Raids on civilian transports usually resulted in a few younger children being abducted. The gang, who called themselves the Blood Hand, would always argue that it was still better to live, than to slowly die on a non-functional spaceship floating in space. Drav would sometimes argue against that.

Him and many of the other children were little more than slaves of the raiders. They were made to help the kitchen staff, clean up the ships, and carry blasters and ammunition during assaults. They were not generally kept in the best conditions, but those who survived the first few years eventually became part of the Blood Hand.

Now Drav understands some of the thinking behind this odd recruiting process. The only reality he knew was living with these raiders, and they became his family. This made it all the harder to turn on them as the years flew by. This prevented much of the potential resistance. The Blood Hand was neither an everyday small pirate crew, but they grew in number, eventually to have a carrier with a dozen of starfighters, and a few cruisers to help them out. They were not to be taken lightly, but such big number of ships required crew. And they had Drav and the others to take care of the pity work. He did not know for a long time how a normal child’s life is. It came as no surprise to anyone that the first time he learned the truth, what they have taken from him, he was outrageous, threatening the life of many on the ship. Later he also learned this was a common occurrence with these children made raiders.

His only friend, the only one he could truly trust, was Arhen, a female twi’lek. By the time they grew to around age sixteen, they were the only ones left from their “generation”. Both of them were invaluable starfighter pilots, and quickly rose through the ranks in the coming years.

Eventually, after the last fighter commander has been killed during an assault, for the lack of a better candidate, Drav was made the new commander. Arhen naturally became his right hand. This promotion was not welcome by many of the older pilots, but all of them lacked the skill or tactical oversight that Drav had in space. He quickly learned to deal with the situation and how to ignore the negative comments he received. He also decided to show them what he is capable of as a leader to shut them up.

Soon the day came that many outlaws fear: they met a stronger opponent. A private military group was shipping weapons and armor between their bases, Drav and the others tried to snatch a cargo for themselves. However it turned out to be a trap. Destroyers and a capital ship soon followed after the raid has started, and one by one they have disintegrated the Blood Hand’s ships. Were it not for the hyperdrive of their starfighters, Drav and Arhen would have been lost as well.

Recovering from the defeat and dealing with their newfound freedom, they wondered where to go next. They had done some mercenary work for a while. Soon they gained some reputation as a good “solution” for both space and ground protection.

Not much later they had to recruit a new member, Tano, a male human. The three of them quickly gained some renown in the outer rim, and people trusted them with even the most valuable shipments.

Until one day it has all ended. They were guarding a freighter with a large amount of Tibanna Gas on board. Just after exiting from hyperspace at their destination six initial starfighters attacked them. They managed to slowly deal with them one by one, although Drav had to use all of his naval genius to achieve victory. Just as they have halved the enemy numbers four more starfighters joined the fight, and after losing Tano and later Arhen, everything was lost.

Just as he accepted his fate, the freighter they were supposed to guard opened a comm channel with his 527 Pinnace, the Azure Spear. “I’m sorry, man! But business is business.” The comms were closed and the freighter, together with two of the remaining fighters jumped away to an unknown location. Drav was betrayed, and it cost him his career, reputation and friends.

Driven by anger, he felt a renewed energy in his body and by brilliant flying, which he still to this day doesn’t know how he pulled off, defeated the last three enemy fighters.

When he jumped away, to return to their safe house on Nar Shaddaa, he had one goal in mind: to find the person responsible for all of this. He knew he needed new allies, and resources to track him down. But his mind was set, and nothing could deter him from his path.

Appearence

[beebox3=600px]Drav is an average height male Duros, standing at 196 centimeters, and weighing close to 90 kilograms. Just like every other member of his species, he does not have any hair on his body. He has a greenish blue skin, with bright red eyes. His face is a little shorter than other Duros, which often times give him a more serious look. He is rarely seen smiling.[/beebox3]
Attributes

[beebox3=600px]During all of his life he always relied on people stronger and faster than him. This was not a hard thing for anyone to achieve. However it was not often he worked together with people who were smarter. As a fighter squadron leader he quickly learned the value of teamwork and as the boss of his private protection team he learned how to use his partners to counteract his own weaknesses.[/beebox3]
Personality

[beebox3=600px]After the loss of his team during a trap set by one of his contractors, he realized that he let them too close. For this reason he is hesitant to make friends, and actively avoids any kind of closer relationships. He is also hard to trust anyone, learning from his previous mistake.

Many times he acts cold with people, while inside he does not feel this is his true self. As a protection from future emotional harm he chooses to apply a mask for the outside.
He likes to make deals that benefit everyone, and even doing favors for people to later ask for them back.
[/beebox3]
Skills

[beebox3=600px]If you would ask Drav what kind of fighter he is, there would be one word he’d reply: average. He is not very good at close range combat; but he is decent with his sidearm. He would tell you that he feels the most at home, when he can pilot the Azure Spear, his 527 pinnace. However, give him a few well-trained men, and Dravos can be a force to be reckoned with.[/beebox3]
Gear

[beebox3=600px]Weapon:
CMBP-12

Armor:
Vagabond Armor with a helmet

Cloths:
A few causal shirts and pants, together with a red and black jacket.
A belt to store any little utility item.

Ship

[beebox3=600px]The Azure Spear[/beebox3]
Droid

[beebox3=600px]None[/beebox3]
Housing

[beebox3=600px]During his time as a private bodyguard he bought a small apartment on top of a high commercial building on Nar Shaddaa. With three landing pads outside it was enough to store the three starfighters they had. Now he needed only one of them. There was a small kitchen, which was opened together with the living room. Two bedrooms are accessed from there, and a small bathroom with a shower and toilet.

Hey buddy, love the look of your character. Just one thing, the ship he has is actually in the tech archives, meaning unfortunately it cannot be used :-(

Plenty of others out there however!

You're right! I found it in the Tech Compendium, so I didn't think twice about it. I'll change it in a bit! Thanks for the notice!

No problem! It's a shame though, Drav would have surely enjoyed flying the Lothcat. :)
I have switched it out to a 527-series Pinnace, which seems to fulfill about the same role. Maybe the name of the ship is even more fitting. If everything else checks out, then I believe I'm set, and ready to role-play.

Edit: We have lost M9-R0, as he is not needed for the ship anymore.
