It had been some time since Kyi had last seen Aurelie on Sullust - the freckle-faced Jedi wasn't exactly sure of how long it was seeing as he had been so busy ever since then which ranged from freeing slaves from Zygerrian slavers, meeting a Force-sensitive Twi'lek on Ilum and tracking down his friend Sakadi who had left the Jedi Order recently. But, Kyi decided to stay in contact with the blue-eyed thief, frequently checking in on her and having conversations with her through holo transmissions that would sometimes last for hours - and through these frequent check-ins, the Jedi's feelings for the blue-eyed thief only grew stronger.

Kyi had decided it was time that he would tell her how he'd feel and attempt to start a relationship with her. Kyi was still on personal leave from when he requested about a month off to track Sakadi down, the freckle-faced Jedi had a week of personal time off before he would have to return to his duties. A few days prior, Kyi sent out a transmitted message to Aurelie and had invited her for a day out on one of the gorgeous beaches of Alderaan - he figured they could both use the break and it would both be good to see her again as well as confess his feelings for her.

The Jedi was on a public Alderaanian beach, dressed only in swim shorts and was relaxing on a pull out chair with his eyes closed and head aimed at the sky above, Exdee was exploring the beach on his own, scanning various things to add to his database - he was an explorer droid after all. Kyi had decided to not have his lightsaber with him as it was dangerous to be a Jedi around these areas - with the whole Jedi and Mandalorian fiasco still raging on.

Kyi waited for his blue-eyed friend to arrive.

The ramp of the Mynock freighter lowered, granting the two occupants a great view over the gorgeous beach and rolling waves. "Master" Scrappy spoke, grabbing the attention of the young woman. "Yes, Scrappy?" she replied cheerfully. "Do you hate me?" Two surprised eyebrows rose quickly "No? No! Scrappy! Why would you ask such a thing?" she asked with a caring voice. "You have brought me to a place with sand and with water. I don't float and.." the droid paused for a moment "I hate sand. It is coarse and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere" Aurelie looked at the combat droid with a skeptic eye but soon showed a bright smile. Wrapping an arm around his back, she patted the metallic being "Don't worry, Scrappy. I like you better than most organics" she said, comforting the droid. "But today, you'll have ship guarding duty. No need to brave the scary beaches today"

Changing into her two-piece swimwear, Aurelie listened as the droid kept going about their poor location. Was it becoming protective perhaps? A slight smile appeared on her lips as she took on a large beige shawl. Although she considered bringing weapons, it seemed like they could be stolen rather easily if she decided to go for a swim. Consequently, the girl departed her ship unarmed, merely carrying some drinkable water, towels, waterproof camera and sunscreen in her bag. As an extra safety measure, she did bring her comms device which ensured that she could contact the combat droid who could more than likely use his rifle from the elevated platform.

It only took a short while to get to the beach as the walk wasn't very long. The girl looked around upon arriving and finally saw her tanned friend in the distance. When she thought about it, Kyi did look a little like a few of the nobles, but by now, Aurelie felt like she could recognise him anywhere. Starting to walk in his direction, the young woman raised her hand in the air and waved from perhaps 30-40 meters away. It was almost concerning how excited she was to see him again which made her feel extra light on her feet as they got closer. "Heeeey" she said happily with a big bright smile. "How have you been? I haven't seen you in such a long time" Her eyes darted over to the little droid a fair bit away - at least Exdee wasn't complaining. After giving the droid an enthusiastic wave, the girl's full attention was returned to Kyi.

As the Jedi was about to drift off from the sheer bliss of relaxation and the sun shining on his face - he sensed an all too familiar but welcome presence. Kyi slowly opened his eyes and turned his head and saw Aurelie dressed in two-piece swimwear waving at him and coming his way, he responded with a smile and a returned wave back. The blue-eyed thief greeted the Jedi with a cheerful greeting, swiftly followed by her asking how he'd been but before he could respond, he noticed her waving at Exdee which brought a smile to his face.

Finally answering her question "Hey, Aurie! I've been good, thank you. What about you?" Kyi then sat up slightly and looked around, looking behind Aurelie and raised a brow, rubbed the back of his neck "Where's Scraps? I miss him." he asked with a smile, Kyi gave the security droid his own affectionate nickname - he really did like that droid and would have liked to see him again. After hearing both responses to his questions, he motioned next to him for her to sit by him as he sat up a little more to engage her in conversation.

Kyi thought the blonde-haired girl looked great, she looked great in general but this wasn't just about her appearance, seeing her in a relaxed state reflected on how great she looked. It brought a smile to his face... until he realised that he had been awkwardly staring at her for a few short moments, the freckle-faced Jedi's eyes fluttered around him as he stuttered slightly, letting out a nervous chuckle.
"Heh, well uh... what have you been up to since Sullust? It's felt like forever, got any fun stories to tell?" he asked slightly, as he slouched over and rested his right arm on his thigh and leaned his scarred left cheek into his left palm, ready to hear any of the thief's adventures.

"Good! That's great" she replied upon hearing that he had been well. She was relieved that he had been doing well - it was far from clear what his mysterious rebel business had been on Sullust but at least he had survived it without any major injuries. The girl let out an unsure "Uhhh" upon being asked about Scrappy. Awkwardly, she chuckled and then raised an arm to point towards the platform in the distance "Over there" she said. "He doesn't like beaches much, I think. Is he...?" the young woman squinted to let her eyes focus better on the distant target "He's wearing my googles!" she exclaimed as the droid had equipped part of her gear. It looked rather awkward as it became abundantly clear that the headpiece was not, at all, designed for droids.

Laughing, Aurelie sat down next to Kyi and put down the bag to the side. Picking up the comms unit, she contacted the droid and spoke "Scrappy, what are you doing" "Oh, Master. I am merely observing to make sure you're safe." Although it seemed strange for the droid to be so proactive, it didn't seem like much of a problem "Okay" she said and switched off the call unless Kyi had something to say. "I'm sure he missed you too" she added, clearly ignoring what she suspected might be some kind of suspicion or jealousy from the combat droid.

For a moment, she considered if Kyi remembered who he had at his side. "Oi, I stole a really juicy wallet a week ago. Some rich CEO-person must've planned on having a shopping spree" the line floated about in her mind - it didn't feel like the kind of thing Kyi would approve of and at this point, she genuinely cared about what he thought about her. Finding something to keep her occupied whilst considering the matter, the girl started applying sunscreen to her front. "Well" she started carefully before repeating what she had just thought about answering. It was not hard for her to pull off a confident facade, but this time, she wanted to be sincere and showed signs of nervousness and perhaps even hints of shame.

Biting her lower lip slightly, the thief waited for his response.

Kyi followed Aurelie's arm as she pointed at the platform where Scrappy was located - squinting at what the droid was wearing... was he wearing her goggles? Aurelie's shocked response was confirmation of this, which then transitioned into laughter and Kyi clasped his hand to his mouth to stop himself from laughing too hard at the ridiculous sight of Scrappy wearing Aurelie's goggles, his body twitched as he held in his laughter.

Remembering his own droid, he looked around the beach to see what Exdee was up to do - the XD-unit was still roaming the beach, scanning rocks, sand and all the other stuff you'd find at a beach. The Jedi smiled and shook his head before calling out "Exdee! Don't stray too far, buddy!" the droid's head tilted a little as he turned to look toward Kyi in the distance and bounced slightly - he couldn't hear but he assumed, well hoped, that the droid had beeped a response which acknowledged his command. The off-duty Jedi turned to look at Aurelie once again as she answered his question regarding what she had been up to - what came next didn't exactly surprise him, she relayed events that ranged from traditional thief stuff, Kyi sensed nervousness and... a hint of shame? This confused him slightly, why would she feel ashamed.

Kyi hung his head down, shaking his head slightly as he let out a genuine chuckle
"Fair enough." he raised his head and looked at the blue-eyed thief once more and smiled at her "Girl's gotta eat right?" he jested. A while back, he would have condemned her for her actions but after getting to know the girl, he realised things weren't as black and white as he had originally thought and he knew Aurelie wasn't a malicious person and only stole from rich folk that wouldn't miss a couple of credits. The Jedi Knight deduced that maybe she felt nervous and shameful due to her thinking he would judge her "Hey, Aurie? Don't worry about me judging you, alright? I know you're a good person. One of the best people I know actually." he reassured her while leaning back into the chair with a smile. He really did mean it, otherwise... he wouldn't have developed feelings for her in the first place.

It was a joy to watch the little droid interact with Kyi. A smile grew on her lips as she observed the bouncing movement Exdee made. Although droids didn't have any emotions, it certainly looked happier with Kyi than it was back on Sullust where they found it.

Hearing the Knight respond so lightheartedly was a relief. It felt like a heavy weight was lifted off of her shoulders. He didn't mind it, didn't mind who she was, and that was more than she dared to hope for. Despite not knowing very much about Jedi in general, Aurelie had interacted enough with Kyi and read enough on the holonet to realise that they were prone to being rather good natured. The fact that he overcame the illegal activities meant the world to her. What he said next would further enhance her happiness as the praise of her as a person meant a lot coming from Kyi. Were it not for the chairs making it unreasonably hard, she would've hugged him immediately. Instead, a sweet "Thanks" would have to do. The girl was filled with happiness and warm emotions which could barely be contained. A light laugh escaped her as she looked down on herself and then back up at the jedi "I really mean it, thanks."

With the sun still shining bright, Aurelie handed him the bottle of sunscreen "Want some?" Leaning back, the young woman relaxed in her chair, listening to the waves hit the beach, the birds sing their song. A light breeze of warm wind blew from the ocean while families could be seen by the edge of the water, some bathing, others building sand castles or just relaxed like the two of them did. While she enjoyed gazing out over the water, Aurelie soon turned to lie on her side in the chair to look at the freckled jedi instead with a passive smile on her lips. She could see that he was still in one piece, in fact, he looked great, it was just the scar on his face - but she already knew where it came from. It still pained her to think that she was the reason behind his wound. "Do you have any plans of ever settling down?" she asked. It felt like a silly question - every time they had touched the subject, it was clear that Kyi was thoroughly committed to his cause. A small part of her hoped that the lovely Alderaanian beach would help change his mind.

Kyi could sense the emotions in Aurelie shift once again but instead of nervousness and shame, it was of relief and happiness. He smiled to himself, pleased with himself that he could ease the blue-eyed thief's tension and settled a bit more into his chair and placing his arms under his head for further comfort. He opened one eye and looked in Aurelie's direction when she offered him some sunscreen - the Jedi stayed laying down and reached out to grasp the sunscreen from the blue-eyed thief "Thanks." he responded while applying the un-pigmented cream to his body, going over the scar on his arm that he had received on Dantooine back when he was a Padawan.

After a few moments, the freckle-faced Knight noticed Aurelie turn over to look at him, he opened both eyes once more and turned his head to meet her gaze with his. Her face seemed curious, she then asked him if he ever planned on settling down - this took him aback almost, his eyes travelled to the clouds as he began thinking to himself. It was a loaded question that he wasn't sure he could answer, honestly he had no idea if he had planned on settling down. With everything that was going on, he wondered if he ever could... would it be fair to start a family as a Jedi? Then his thoughts completely shifted when he looked at the young woman in front of him - maybe it could be possible, just look at Alysanne Drast - before she left the Order, she juggled being both a mother and a Jedi.

His eyes moved to the clouds again
"I don't know if I could... not without leaving the Jedi Order at least." his eyes then shifted to the blue-eyed thief once more - "But maybe if I meet the right person... who knows what could happen." he said with a smile. Now more intrigued about the topic regarding the future and settling down, he sat up a little and leaned on his arm to focus on the young woman sitting beside him, asking a question of his own "When you've pickpocketed enough credits from the rich, you plan on using them to invest in a home and a family?" he asked, genuinely interested to hear what Aurelie had to say.

"... not withour leaving the Jedi Order at least" his answer was much like what she expected. It felt exactly like what the Knight she had gotten to know would say. To say that she was disappointed would imply that the answer wasn't what she had expected, but it certainly didn't bring her any joy. She was about to speak when the Kyi continued. Hope. She could feel her heart pounding as he actually seemed to consider the possibility. "Yeah, who knows?" she asked quietly, repeating his words. An internal conflict was raging on in her mind as one part of her wanted him to leave, to settle down whilst the other wanted to accept him, just as he had accepted her. Finally decided, a meek smile formed on her lips "I'm sure they wouldn't want you to leave something you love so much" It was stupid - they weren't even together and she was already invested in his future. Their relationship was still rather unclear. Taking a deep breath, Aurelie reminded herself not to get ahead of events.

Still, she did like to look at him and continued as he asked his question, even spotting the scar on his arm. Her eyebrows furrowed as she grew concerned, wondering how recent it was. Looking back to his brown eyes, the young woman remembered that he had asked a question "Well, if I can, yes." she said and continued "I don't earn that much money though." The fact was that she had inherited a rather hefty debt from her father. While it was unknown to her for quite some time, the collectors suddenly appearing is what forced her into hiding in the first place. Only now with steady payments could she keep them off her back. After a few moments of consideration, she decided to let him know about the debt, although omitting the fact that it was inherited - there was no need of dragging her father's name in the mud.

Her thoughts raced towards a family and potential child. "If I get a child, I don't want them to ever have to live in fear of not having food on the table" she said, sounding more determined than she usually did. A nostalgic smile appeared on her lips "You know, I grew up with my dad. We used to travel the galaxy together, he and I. Always looking for the next business venture, or whatever it's called. I learned so much, but it is not a life of a child."

Kyi continued to rest his head on his palm as he focused on Aurelie, listening intently as she told the young Jedi Knight about her plans for the future. She mentioned that if she had ever had a child, she'd never want the child to be fearful of financial stability which piqued his interest a little - of course any loving parent wouldn't want that for her child but this particular statement seemed quite specific. Kyi's concentrated face loosened slightly as his face contorted into a more curious expression, but his curiosity was potentially sated when she mentioned about her father and her childhood.

The freckle-faced Jedi let out a soft smile, he began imagining what Aurelie's childhood must have been like - it must have been fun travelling the galaxy together... actually managing to spend time and bond with your parents but he then thought about her comment about it not being a life for a child. Honestly, he wasn't sure what to think of this... maybe she was right in some ways, a child deserves to have a stable home and to make friends their age and other stuff but then again... spending your time exploring the galaxy, expanding your worldview and doing it all with your parents almost seemed perfect to him.

Then he realised something... Aurelie hadn't made any mention of her mother. Did something happen to her? Was it appropriate to ask? His eyes rotated, looking at different points of interest around him as he deliberated whether to ask her or not. After a few moments, he finally made the decision that the two were close enough for him to pry a little bit - "You didn't mention your mother? Where was she in all of this?" he asked as he sat up fully, rotating his body to fully face Aurelie.

With her one side pushed against the chair, Aurelie raised the other in a shrugging motion "I don't know" she said, almost nonchalantly. She had no real palpable memories of her mother and had only seen a few photographs of her. "We didn't speak much about her." Conflicting emotions filled the young woman but her facial expression remained neutral. Soon, she raised a finger "Whenever I asked about her, dad got one of those sweet smiles. They must really have loved each other" she said, sounding rather positive. Taking down her finger, the girl allowed her fist drop onto the chair "But, his eyes always looked so sad. You know, when the face smiles but the eyes aren't willing to comply." Although the matter was bringing her down, Aurelie had dealt with these emotions for years and was more than capable of keeping a brave face when talking to Kyi about it. "It's okay though. Dad and I, we made do well enough on our own." she said, thinking back at it fondly with a strong sense of nostalgia.

The sand was completely fixed still where she stared. The only thing that moved was Kyi's torso and, in her peripheral sight, Exdee who was still diligently walking about to scan whatever he came across. Breaking out of her trance, Aurelie looked up at Kyi, allowing her eyes to study his features. Her voice was still low from the previous conversation but her speech was audible enough "What about you then?" she asked. A playful smile grew on her lips as she started throwing out a few guesses on his family composition "Two parents?" she asked, pausing to gauge his reaction before continuing "Siblings, right? A brother? I bet he was older." At this point, she hadn't even considered if she was stepping on any toes or crossing any boundaries. In her mind, Kyi seemed like the kind of guy who had grown up in the perfect family.

Kyi detected a hint of sorrow in the thief as she explained about her mother, not really knowing what happened to her or where she was, but she kept a brave face as she relayed her past to him. He felt a little guilty for making her relive those memories but she seemed like she had dealt with that sour patch in her life, well, dealt with it enough that it didn't really affect her as much as it should have. Aurelie seemed close with her father though, which he was happy about, he was happy she still had the parental affection that every child needed growing up - he didn't want to even imagine how the blue-eyed thief could have turned out if she had neither parent in her life... probably more malicious, less remorseful or worse.

The Jedi stayed facing her, watching her as her eyes travelled across the beach before they fixed back on him again. She switched the conversation on to him, asking him about his childhood and what he grew up with - the Jedi was reminded of how simple his life was compared to hers, before joining the Jedi at least, he felt both grateful and guilt that his home life was more stable than hers. However, the Jedi chuckled at Aurelie's random guesses about his home life, growing up as he began to recollect on his childhood

"Well, I was born on Lothal. My parents were two nerf herders and I was an only child but life was simple, my parents were loving and they cared for me, making sure I had everything I needed and when I was old enough I'd help them out around the farm too."
he shrugged, it wasn't as fantastical as travelling across the galaxy with your father but... it was his childhood and he wouldn't change it for the world. Kyi slumped his shoulders and rested his arms on his legs and looked out into the distance, toward the ocean and its horizon "Then we found out I was Force-sensitive. They shipped me off to the Jedi when I was thirteen. Haven't seen them since." the Jedi held no ill will toward his parents, he knew they did what they felt was right and believed he'd go on to do great things and he agreed. But a small part of him knew why he hadn't visited his family in the past eleven years, that small part had always yearned they had never discovered about his Force-sensitivity and that he could have remained an average, unremarkable nerf herder - but alas, it was not his destiny.

Silence fell over them for a few moments but was broken when Kyi let out a deep sigh, feeling as he was holding his breath for a long time. Something randomly popped into his head, a few months ago, back when the two first met on Tatooine, Aurelie had mentioned about her 'co-pilot' that she had found Scrappy with who had died - maybe it had been long enough for her to mourn and move on, long enough for where he'd be able to ask without upsetting her.
"Hey...tell me more about your old co-pilot. The one you found Scrappy with." he asked with a small smile as he turned to look at her again.

It was nice, listening to Kyi talk about his childhood. It all sounded so lovely, especially when remembering his mention of speeders a few months back. Perhaps they weren't the wealthiest family, but it sure seemed like they were happy - until he was sent away that is. She knew how it felt to be torn away from family but couldn't imagine how it would feel if it was the family who took initiative to do it. Her mouth fell agape as she considered whether to share her own story too, of how her father was taken away from her. Many strong feelings filled her from top to toe: No, it was a story for another time, they were on the beach now, enjoying the sun and the weather. Instead of speaking, the girl allowed silence to fall over them. While she might've gotten bored or restless or felt awkward normally, it wasn't a problem when in the company of Kyi.

Then he brought it up.

She looked at him rather blankly for both one and two moments. "You're feeling rather ruthless today, aren't you?" she said with a voice completely devoid of her normal cheerfulness and enthusiasm. The onslaught was brutal, first her mother and now this. The young woman sighed and sat up in the chair with crossed legs. Aurelie looked down as she wiggled her toes, creating a minor distraction whilst thinking of what to say. "No" she said rather simply "I was his co-pilot." Her eyes slowly rose to meet his. She was confused - normally, she felt good when being around Kyi. Questions floated about in her mind, "What have I done wrong? Why are you doing this to me? Where is your mercy?" She liked him, was open with him, honest. All the things which she was so careful to share.

But, there would be no breakdowns this time, or at least so she hoped. "His name was Hask. We met on Tatooine, just like you and I" She smiled, thinking of him, but just like her father, the girl's blue eyes betrayed her true feelings. "We used to do all sorts of crazy stuff together. Including getting Scrappy" The young woman looked to the platform, seeing the droid still watching over them with her googles. She was an open book, but the pages wouldn't turn themselves.

Kyi tensed up when Aurelie stated he was being "rather ruthless" - he felt her mood shift once again, but this time it was for negative reasons. Aurelie divulged the identity of the person in question, he had made a mistake, she was in fact his co-pilot, his name was Hask and they had been through a lot together from what she had described and how her feelings completely shifted at the meer mention of him. Kyi had messed up again. He practically shrank into his chair from the guilt, the freckle-faced Jedi just wanted to learn more about his friend and hopefully... more, but there he went, messing things up again.

The Jedi hung his head down slightly
"I'm sorry... I didn't-- I just--" he cut himself off, not wanting to make it worse and dig himself further in the non-existent hole he had already been digging when he had mentioned her mother earlier. The blue-eyed thief wasn't in a good mood now, he knew it, but he'd have to think of a way to salvage this - it was supposed to be a relaxing day, their small break from the galaxy and he couldn't ruin it for her. The Jedi Knight sprung out of his chair, kicking the sand up ever so slightly from his sudden movement. Kyi looked down at Aurelie and held his hand out toward her, waiting for her to take it.

"Come on, let's go for a walk." he said with a half smile, he then looked at at the security droid on the platform, still watching the two intently "Scraps wouldn't mind if I stole you for a few minutes would he?" he said in a joking manner. Nothing was more romantic than walking down the beach, he'd seen it all on the holovids, maybe this will take her mind off of things and maybe... he can use this time to confess his feelings for her.

"No, no, it's just a little hard to talk about, you know? But I should be able to handle it by now." she replied and swallowed hard, once again letting the silence set in. The damp and quiet mood was disrupted by a sudden move from Kyi. Before she knew it, he was up on his feet with an outstretched hand. She looked up at his freckled face and the semi-smile. The confused and somewhat annoyed side of her had to admit defeat: It was simply impossible to stay grumpy at him for long. Her eyes shifted to his hand as she slowly reached out and let him help her up.

With her smaller hand lingering in his, the young woman laughed and threw a glance over to the droid. "No, of course not" she replied jovially. Slowly, her hand slipped away from his as the two started walking. The promenade wouldn't last for very long, however, as it was interrupted by an incoming call. "Just a sec" she said with a raised finger before jogging over to the bag. A chuckle escaped her as she saw the caller-ID. It was Scrappy. Shaking her head whilst smiling, Aurelie walked back to the Jedi "It was just Scrappy" she said fondly.

Soon, the two were walking along the shoreline. It was enjoyable, feeling the cool water drench her bare feet and then retreat back. It regularity at which it happened brought a sense of calm to her, as did the rather pleasant walk. A few shells of various shapes and sizes littered the area and a majestic Thranta flew overhead. "I'm sorry for going all dark and moody on you" she said and continued "Look, ask me anything. I'll handle it better this time."

As the two began their walk down the shoreline, Kyi placed his hands in his pockets - his gaze shifted between his pockets and Aurelie's free hand frequently, the freckle-faced Jedi had to constantly battle the urge to take her hand and just hold it. Kyi turned to look at the ever shifting shoreline and the beautiful blue ocean beside them to take his mind off of it, he closed his eyes and opened himself up to the Force - the Living Force radiated through the ocean, it felt invigorating, he let out a small smile as he felt so at peace in the moment. Peaceful enough to forget about his responsibilities.

Kyi could spot Exdee in the distance, he wasn't letting up, the little guy was having the time of his life and he could see the XD-unit bounce excitedly when he saw the Thranta fly through the sky. As he gazed at the Thranta flying into the distance, Aurelie returned him to reality by apologising for her change in mood earlier - Kyi quickly interjected, not wanting her to feel bad "Nonono, you don't have to apologise! I understand, seriously." he then removed his right hand from his pocket and placed his palm on his chest for emphasis "I'm sorry for even asking - I should have realised it would have been a sensitive topic for you." he apologised, hanging his head down a little. For someone who was adept at sensing emotions, he was still completely oblivious. Aurelie then followed up and implored him to ask her anything as a way to make up for earlier.

This was it, this may be the only perfect chance he got to tell her, everything. Kyi stopped in place, abruptly halting their walk
"Anything?" he asked. His heart began to race, his face felt hot and his palms began to sweat - with all of the things he had been through, fighting slavers, bandits, piloting missions; the freckle-faced Jedi had never been this nervous before. Kyi took a deep breath, trying to regain his composure, he gently took the blue-eyed thief's hands and held them in his "Aurie..." he said with a shaky voice as he looked into her eyes "I-I like you, Aurie. I really like you. I've liked your for a while now and I... I want to be with you." he paused, he couldn't believe he had just told her that "I guess... if I could ask you anything. I'd ask if you felt the same way?" he said while squinting one eye, if this all backfired he would crawl into bed and hide from the rest of the galaxy, well, forever.

"Anything?" he asked, standing firmly in place. The girl looked back at him and nodded, she was prepared and ready for a question. Turning around and walking to stand in front of him, she felt the soft breeze from the ocean hitting her back. "Anything." she said looking him in the eyes, expecting a question about her past. The freckled jedi seemed to be struggling with something, even when he finally said her name. It felt good, having his gentle hand hold hers - it was safe and stable. Their eyes met as she looked on him patiently. Nervousness was radiating from both parties, although for very different reasons.

Kyi then shared his feeling with her. The girl's mouth opened just a few degrees as she looked at the jedi in disbelief. Although rarely acting on it consciously, it was obvious that the thief liked her noble friend. Even Scrappy had seen that she liked him, and Scrappy was a droid. She was not, however, as prepared to hear that Kyi liked her. They were close, sure, perhaps unjustifiably close but in her eyes, the Knight having taken a liking to her in that sense was simply too good to be true. Aurelie couldn't get a single word out of her mouth but nodded vigorously upon hearing his question. She started drifting even closer to him, one slow little step at a time "Yes" she said with a voice imbued with joy, almost sounding like a light laugh. "Yes, of course I want to be with you. And yes, I really like you too" she continued, still sounding as joyous as ever.

This felt like one of those moments. One of those moments where she'd be content to just stop. If the universe decided to freeze time here, she'd be fine with it. In fact, she would welcome it. The girl's lips formed a bright smile as her eyes lingered on him, shamelessly studying the features of his face. Now standing close enough to him to feel his breath, her eyes bore deep into his. Her gaze fell down to his lips and remained for a few moments before returning up again.

"Yes, of course I want to be with you." rang through the Jedi Knight's ears as she reciprocated her feelings for him. At this very moment, Kyi wanted to thrust both of his arms in the air and yell at the top of his lungs from the sheer bliss he was feeling right now - this was officially one of the best days of his life, even surpassing the day he was Knighted. All Kyi could do to respond to the blue-eyed thief who was now a hair's breadth away from was laugh, he let out a joyous and relieved laugh as he stared intently into her eyes.

He watched closely as Aurelie's eyes formed a bright smile, he noticed she was also studying his face as he was studying hers. The freckled Jedi felt as if he was on autopilot now, he had no experience on what he was about to do next and hoped his instincts would guide him. As his body involuntarily began to close the minute gap between the two, he removed both of his hands and wrapped his arms around Aurelie's waist, pulling her soft skin onto his. With a rush of positive emotions clouding his thoughts, instinct completely took over, as Kyi closed his eyes leaning in and placed his lips on to hers. Kyi felt the blue-eyed thief wrap her arms over his shoulders and around his neck as he began to become more confident in what he was doing.

It felt as if time completely stopped. The galaxy fell silent, even the Force was nowhere to be heard, in this brief moment it was just him and Aurelie and he would cherish it forever.
