Enough was enough, the blonde female had concluded shortly after she had tripped up over the charred carcass of the domestic model astromech droid that had kept the Ti'varnus household looking to a degree presentable, despite the imposing and aged exterior. For so long Alyse had neglected to carry out any remote form of upkeep withing her home, excluding the basic chores. Partly to her upbringing with servents under her parents employ, but mostly because baring the occasion that she hosted guests from the Eternal's ranks. The cultist spent most of her time within her study, pouring over dark texts, and writing notes in her journals.
The Legionnaire who would mostly frequent the household, Trinity should she stumble into the property think that Alyse had either died, or moved on to another location, leaving the place for someone else to move into. The general state of disarray had been well and truly changed, the clutter was gone, the place was dusted and cleaned, the small furry inhibitants had been captured and stored in a cage.... For future research. Despite the dark and gloomy decor, the place seemed alot lighter and less stuffy. All that remained was to tackle and clear out the collected stockpile of junk from the basement.
Standing up straight with a light groan, Alyse pressed her hands against the small of her back, applying a light pressure against the tightening muscles. Her gaze panning over the basement for a moment, eyes lingering on the stack of boxes she had sifted through. Containing nothing more than broken and aged junk, despite the odd item that had sparked a moment of sentimental thought - it just seemed that what ever wasn't needed just got stuffed down in the basement. Her gaze moved away from the boxes she had stacked by the stairs leading up to the outside, where the flickering orange light of the bonfire crackled away. This wasn't a simple tidy up and sort out, this was a full on cull, anuthi g that Posed little use or value was sent to the flames. Alyse wanted to have a fresh start, clear out her house of the relics of the past, but also with the view to repurpose the basement into a hidden space where she could practice her dark art, away from any prying eyes or hapless guests. Her plan to turn the basement into a sealed off and hidden chamber would take much more than a clear out, but a least with the space emptied out, then she could get come contractor's in to 'seal' the basement off, so it could only be accessed by a hidden door.
But that would come all in due time, for now however there was the matter of sifting through the remainder of the musky boxes. A curious expression crossed Alyse's features as she opened up a brittle duraplast foot locker, that seemed to contain an aged and well worn black and dark grey uniform. Lifting out and opening up the tunic, the young woman came to the conclusion that that the cut and styling was military in design. A bemused expression crossing her features as her gaze fell upon the insignia of the First Order. "Curious, father kept that one a secret, then again doubt he ever knew about this trunk" Alyse muttered to herself, knowing that not once had there been any mention of her familys ties been with the First order, which was surprising given she was groomed from birth to be a follower of the Darkside. Stuffing the tunic onto the lid of the open foot locker, the blonde continued to rummage through the contents, before retrieving a tattered operations handbook. Flicking through the pages, Alyse skimmed through the contents of the book, her eyes passing over the various diagrams and drill orders. Before setting on a series of standing orders or some form of tenants of conduct. "security in strength, order through obedience" she read aloud before flicking further through the book, coming to a stop at a couple of pages with images of some rather historical figures from the Resistance. "High priority targets, designated opdestab" she murmured as her gaze focused in on the agents of renown from the Resistance era, before closing the book with a slight sigh, as interesting as this find was, she doubted any of it really would be of much use, beyond being something of a time capsule.
