A scheduled news program on primetime across the entire galaxy cost you about.. well, too much for ordinary sentients that was for sure. Emperor Emer-Drast ofcourse, wasn't any ordinary sentient. He was the Emperor of the New Empire. One that wasn't kept intact by the threat of lethal Force-use, but instead by that of industry, credits and the ever present Imperial Security Bureau.
As the Imperial Symbol faded to the background, the viewers would see the Emperor himself on his throne. His first public appearance was at the Galactic Senate, where he proclaimed the New Empire's vision of galactic 'Stability and Prosperity' and shared an update on the Attack on Dathomir where the Empire attempted to arrest the former Sith Empress Darth Andruil at the behest of the Galactic Senate. That same senate was interrupted suddenly when Hapes announced their invasion of Corellia, proving to the galaxy that it was not, in fact, the Empire that were the "bad guys".
"Dear Galactic Citizens, Dear Imperial Citizens," the Emperor began with his known -and practiced- pleasant smile. "It is with great joy that I can announce the most terrible known Sith -the former Empress Andruil herself- to have been slain in battle with the New Empire."
The Emperor, like the rest of the galaxy, wasn't unfamiliar with the rumored return of Darth Raze. However, as the old records state he was the Dark Lord of the Sith under Empress Andruil and as neither the Jedi Order, or the so-claimed 'Embattlers of Sith' the ISC, had moved or made known moves on the rumored return of this prominent old Sith, neither would the Emperor mention it to take down his promising announcement.
"This battle in which we were fortunately victorious, also came at a great cost and we mourn the great number of fellow Imperials that have lost their lives in pursuit of justice." The Emperor said it in a solemn voice with a matching expression. He wasn't merely playing pretense and he didn't forget that it was the Independent Systems Consortium that had suggested this course of action so the new Empire could "prove itself".
The battle, besides having known great losses, also wasn't the best display of the promise that the Imperial War Machine held. At a critical moment, some were deemed to have faltered and had been silently reprimanded. Yet others had shown great personal honor and were lauded upon.
"With their sacrifice and victory over Evil, we are confident that we have made a great step to a more stable and prosperous Galaxy," which was something the Emperor was known to wish for everyone, all Galactic Citizens on all habited planets. "Due to the devastating nature of the Nightsister Magic, we are forced to remain on Dathomir while we sort the remains of our dead." It was a gruesome reminder to the footage the Emperor had shared to the Galactic Senate: his own Imperial soldiers being turned into zombies by Dark Side Magick. "It is my concern, that while we have managed to greatly diminish the power of the Sith, we should not let it give rise to equally atrocious kinds of Force power like that of Nightsister Magick. But do not be afraid-" his countenance softened, as if he was a father consoling his children, "-for the Empire will protect you from these evil Force users." and while it, ofcourse, wasn't infallible in preventing Force users from acting out completely, they would meet swift and final justice.
"And like on Dathomir, we will win this battle over evil." so join the fatherly embrace of the Empire and be protected by its War Machine. As its expansionist efforts continue unabated and its enemies conveniently only grow weaker, there will eventually be only one intergalactic faction that can promise the stability and prosperity that the Empire promises everyone.
"I was proud to announce, to the galaxy, a New Empire free of atrocity, and today I am proud to announce a safer Galaxy."
The address then stopped as camera drones shifted away from the Emperor and to Grand Moff Pollux and other members of the Imperial Diplomatic Corps. Some asked how, considering the collapse of the safety nets provided by the Republic and the Free World's Alliance, they could now join and enjoy the protection of the Empire. Others requested footage from Dathomir, while others requested decades-old records of atrocities committed by the Sith to follow up on the idea of a senate tribunal that in light of recent events became less and less popular.
