Eshan

Zfd72w8l.jpg

The engineers had been been working diligently as they started to set up the Landing Zone. The air was cool and gentle as it passed through. The Landing Zone's construction had been coming a long just nicely. Telag had been on watch with his sniper rile waiting and watching on the outside of the perimeter that they had set up. Eshan was a nice planet to be on, but he wouldn't want to live here permanently. He hated being pinned down for two long. Telag preferred to move around and get to see different sites than be stationed at a place for too long, but who knew. This wasn't permanent and he wouldn't be sure of what resistance they would face this far out.

"Nothing on my end," Telag spoke into his communicator.

"Negative here as well," he heard from one other.

Deep inside, he hoped that he would at least get to fire his sniper rifle. He didn't like sitting out in the open exposed like they were, but there wasn't much choice being in an open field. Telag stayed prone within the short grass that surrounded them. His bipod was extended as he looked through his scope. The horizon seemed to still be clear from what he could tell. There was a bit of tension in his shoulders as he waited and watched for any stray movements. Everything seemed secure as time went on, but he knew that something had to be coming. The Echani weren't a dumb race of people to screw around with. They were strong and capable warriors. Though, they didn't have pride of the Mandalore flowing through them. That is a big factor that set their cultures apart.

As of now, 3 Supercommando's of the Dominion were tasked with coordinating the defensive position around the still-in-construction Landing Area, they were the first shot of the invasion, and if this shot misses, then the Echani could shoot back, and this couldn't happen.
The sun shined on the plains of Eshan, everything was going just right, and while the snipers had altready set up their positions, a first, temporary line of defense was still lacking, and this was Thyr's unit job while the engineers were building up the real firepower with the rest of the Zone.

I need these fixed guns scattered trough the whole perimeter with makeshift barricades and entrenched area's understood?

As the team of soldiers went on carrying their tasks, the Supercommando activated his helmet comms device while walking toward the would-be frontline of the battle.

Isn't this a good day for battle comrades? The Eshan's are known for their preference to fight with light armor and melee weaponry, so i ask all of you to stay at a safe distance, i don't want to recover bodies when the first wave arrives, i see you Telag already took position to cover our asses uh? good to see familiar faces here.

The Basaakith stayed in position, placing a fixed ATLP near the Zone side that Telag was covering, they had to be ready as the Echani could appear at any moment from there.

Q'san had not been on Echani soil in over twenty years. The last time was shortly before boarding a ship to a neighboring ally's court, when a contingent from Clan Genet attacked and raided their ship, killing his mother, several cousins, and kidnapping Q'san himself, at age 15. He's had dreams of this very valley, peaceful and silent, running through the field as a child, with memories of his other two brothers, and the sight of his mother, still pregnant with his lost brother, Halmo'de. A sort of bittersweet nostalgia washed over him as he watched the morning sun reflect off of the dew on the grass in the valley. Q'san stood eyes glued to his binoculars, scanning intently through the valley. He knew how these people fought, because he was one of them; by blood, not by creed or any other affiliation. He was a Mandalorian now. Q'san Torobah had died years ago, when a young man realized his own family had not even attempted to rescue him. Not his surviving siblings, or his father. All that remained was Q'san Genet; the Jedi Hunter, the Fighter. His entranced gaze at the rolling hills of his birth-world was interrupted by his fellow Super-Commandos. His new family and creed were his only focus now. That is why he wears beskar'gam.

Moments would pass before he responded to his much more chipper comrade, Thyr, about his race's affinity for light armor and melee. "The men you may find here were once my own family. Once. Give them a good death, Vode." Q'san said, through comms, before dismounting the wall he'd been sitting on. Slinging his Harlaw Heavy Carbine to his back, and lifting his own heavily modified R-8R Battle Rifle, configured with a long barrel for greater accuracy at long-range, as well a 2x-10x capable scope, and laser sight, with two back up power cells to use between them, as they are both Heavy Blaster Rifles. It was not a designated sniper's rifle, but he could put shots down range at a target with several rounds at 250 meters, and essentially pin targets down for the marksman. Both of his scimitars were sheathed on both hips, set up for a cross-draw, with his pistols positioned behind the hilt of his swords. His grenades were divided up into pouches of two, found on both shoulders and one found on his left thigh. Carrying six grenades, two thermal Detonators, two Cryo-ban Grenades, one Firespray, and a single fragmentation grenade. For this mission, Q'san cut down o weight, opting for a pair of repulsor boots instead of his usual jetpack, for added maneuverability against his former kin.

"Same to you, Thyr. I'll have your back anytime, vode." Telag responded calmly while still keeping his eyes to the distance.

It felt like it had been awhile since he worked with Mandalorians he knew. Telag had mostly been providing spending his time assisting with security at the Factory on Geonosis. The change in scenery was a better than he would admit. It was better than looking at sand, sand, and more sand. So far, so good. There wasn't much going on just yet. Looking through his scoop, he zoomed in to what seemed like a humanoid figure in the distance. The voice of the Mandalorian named Q'san came over the comms. The figure started to get closer as the HUD in his helmet started to scan the distance.

"Don't worry. We'll give them good deaths. You can count on it," Telag spoke reassuringly before going on, "Target acquired marked 600 meters from the southwest and closing on foot. Maybe a scout...Preparing to take lethal countermeasure."

Telag graced his finger upon his trigger and adjusted his rifile for wind speed. He took a couple of deep breaths as he kept his crosshairs on the target. The target came in closer to around 540 meters and pulled out a pair of binoculars before lifting up their wrist. Telag wasn't going to wait around to see if the scout was going to report in to whomever. Whatever happened next, would be the target's last. Telag took in a deep breath and eased his finger upon the trigger. The slugthrower cracked to life with a loud boom. A couple of seconds passed as the target reached for and held their neck. Telag pulled the bolt back on his rifle and followed up with another shot. The slugthrower cracked back to life as the target dropped as the round connected to the targets head. The target fell to the ground. Telag adjusted his scope on his rifle a bit to get a better view on his work.

Telag smiled from behind his helmet as he pulled the bolt back again on his rifle, "Target eliminated. Glory to Mand'alor..."

They will Vode, they will

The Basaakith and the rest of his team almost completed their jobs, working with a Mandalorian Echani was both a tactical advantage and a problem, as like he said the enemy could have been old family members.
After having built the last entrenched position, he heard the shots over his head, and what looked like a body falling on the ground in the horizon, if Scout's were already here, then the rest of the enemy forces couldn't have been that distance.

Everyone in the Entrenched line listens up, gear up and garrison the various weapon posts, bring at least two payloads with you in case the enemy rushes towards us, enemy scouts approached the Perimeter, be ready to kill at a moment's notice.

Thyr's voice tone became deadly serious as he spoke just before approaching his "personal" emplacement, made up of an entrenched position and a Rotary Blaster Cannon with various magazines laying around, the position itself was on what would become the main entrance to the Landing Platform, on what should become the main target of the attackers.

Snipers, I want live info on everything you see with your scope until the full enemy force arrives, Q'san, your choice, down and personal with us on the ground, or safe and sound with Telag and his snipers.

Q'san watched the target through the scope of his rifle. He was definitely Echani. As the rest of the men scrambled to the trenchlines, Q'san did the same, digging in, next to Thyr, ready for the inital charge. He kept his rifle trained on the crest of the hill in the distance, where the scout had popped up. "I'll spot, til they close range," he said, just as two more, what looked like, soldiers cresting the hill.

"Contact," he spoke, plainly, firing an expertly placed shot through the Echani's temples. His comrades came up behind him, guns blazing. As fire was exchanged a handful of men could be seen running in behind the firing line wielding various bladed weapons, the heavily decorated leader was seen standing in the center branding a two-handed Falx vibro-sword. Q'san's expression changed noticeably as his face could be made out, within his scope.

"Father..." he whispered to himself, as his knees buckled ever slightly, but these feelings of fear, were replaced with fury. Q'san quickly began picking off the men in front of him, with his sniper rifle, aiding the other snipers, as well, controlling the movement of the soldiers as they charged forward, killing his father's men with singular shots to the head and torso. "Snipers, cover me, but leave the general to me. He's mine," he said over comms, as he left his marksman's rifle next to Thyr, as he rocketed upward, with the use of his repulsor boots and out of the trench, a Scimitar in his right hand and a pistol in the other, ready to get in close with the enemy.

"Suit yourself, Q'san. We'll cover you the best we can, but my position may get compromised." he responded.

Telag adjusted himself as he began to see more come over the horizon. He eventually emptied most of his power pack as the opposition began to show themselves. His face contorted a bit as he took a well placed shot between his a target's throat. It seemed like it was a bit too late to change his position. He would have preferred to have a higher ground than be open and semi-exposed in out in a field. If it got too bad he would just head back for the trenches. Though, from what he saw that would be sooner than later. He glanced again over the morning horizon and noticed more enemies.

"I have multiple contacts from the southwest and enclosing fast," he said quickly, "There seems to be approximately eight contacts with light blasters and vibroblades."

The black clad Mandalorian aimed for a couple of chest shots before he changed his power pack. He stayed low to the ground and began crawling sideways between taking another shot hitting one of them in the chest. They were moving a bit faster than for his liking and he wasn't going to try and take up most of them at any closer range. He was able to take out two of them before quickly glancing over to the spots he checked earlier and noticed multiple small groups began to spring up. He quickly took out a two more with shots to the head. Telag threw his sniper rifle on his back and began keeping his head low and attempting to make it to another position.

"We have multiple groups. I say again, multiple groups from the south."

He wished that they had time to set up watch towers before they started, but that would have been more work and time they didn't have. Telag was set up again and glanced through his scope to keep an eye on the situation. This was going to be interesting to say the least. Though, he wasn't sure if he would have to deal with any enemy snipers. The Echani weren't totally known for long range combat, but you never knew what to expect. Telag watched as the groups moved in through his scope. He aimed for a couple of the stragglers and was able to place shots to the head and chest. Telag figured that they may have more than they bargain for if they continued to come out in light waves.

What the hell did I say about NOT moving up from the trenches!? Damn it!.

As the Basaakith fist was slammed into the top of the chaingun, a voice started cracking into the in-helmet built comms, it came from a few positions on his left as it tore apart into a squad of Echani melee fighters just in front of Q'san.

Echo Two to Echo Leader, we will cover him, over.

Thyr grinned behind his helmet, this message and the fact that on the south front only small waves were assaulting our position could mean only that he would get the main attack as predicted, the presence of a Leader figure on the northern front was the ultimate proof of that.
And so, as the Mandalorian recomposed himself and took once again his seat, he overlooked the whole landscape with his range-finder, what he saw was exactly what he expected.... he just didn't expect he was that much right.

Holy Randy Rando The Transgendo Mando how many are there!?

As soon as he lifted the range-finder, large Fireteams of Echani warriors started grouping behind the decorated leader, he could only estimate very roughly their numbers as the other entrenched Mando's started firing toward them, many of the OPFOR soldiers carried blades and blaster pistols, with quite a large number actually wielding R-8R Blaster rifles with vibro-bayonets attached to them.
The initial exchange was going in the favor of the Mandalorians thanks to both the lack of cover for the Echani and their initial lack of Heavy Firepower, but no one could know what their tactics really were, and so the Basaakith took his Rotary Blaster and started firing too, with a few blaster bolts coming toward his position.

Regiment sized OPFOR forces coming in from the northern front, southern squads stay on alert for ambushes, snipers I need you on the South side of the compound, we can't have enemies breaching the perimeter, the Engineers are still behind with their work and we didn't receive any information regarding incoming reinforcements, we are officially alone for now boys, give them hell.

And with that message, Thyr took fully on his role as gunner and started raining fire toward the enemy forces, it was a massacre, the first wave of Echani was slowly becoming a line of Corpses... but this couldn't be their real tactic, they don't just send their warriors to die for a Mile.

Q'san landed amongst his kin, blades flashing as he cut down his father's bodyguards, all armed with small blasters and blades of varying types. One of them came close to killing him, but was saved, just, by his Beskar'gam. How proud he was to be a Mandalorian on this day, or this would have been his undoing. As the blase got stuck within his armor's relatively thick plating, Q'san was able to retaliate, with a swift spinning side kick to his opponent's chest, sending him with his blade, toppling end over end, down a small hill, where the Mandalorian simply opened fire on him as he rolled to the bottom of the hill.

"Do not turn your back to the enemy, leave me, I'll handle this buffoon, continue the assault!" the Echani General, Q'san's father, shouted to his men, before turning to the Mandalorian before him, unwittingly engaging his own flesh and blood. He lifted the curved blade of his falx, placing the hilt in line with the center of his chest. Lightly armored, in lavish clothes, arm bracers, and a decorative helm. "You were a fool to come here, Mandalorian," he spoke, now to Q'san, "When will your people learn they'll never defeat the sheer martial might of the Echani?"

Q'san stood about two meters from him, and simply scoffed. "I'd wager today... father." he spoke, before removing his helmet and tossing it to the ground, next to him.

"Q... Q'san? How? Why?" the Echani general said, falling from his high horse, as he stared his long lost eldest son in the face. "You? A Mandalorian?"

"Yes, me; a Mandalorian. What did you think happened that night we were attacked? That I'd simply gone invisible? I waited in a cell, for you, on Concord kriffing Dawn, for three years before they'd eventually adopted me and took me in as their own! You NEVER came for me!"

"Son...-" he spoke, before Q'san interjected.

"You've lost the right to call me your son! I am Q'san Genet of Clan Genet, now. I have a family now, that's never too busy to come to my aid. Unlike you lot who can barely function outside of a sparring ring." he shouted, dropping his offhanded pistol, and unclipping his chestpiece, and jetpack, dropping them, and his other weapons save his scimitars, together on the ground with his helmet, revealing the jet black undersuit beneath it. He drew his second scimitar, and charged at his father, now lighter, without the heavy top end of his armor, he was much more agile.

Telag held his aim his target before pulling the trigger. The body fell as one of it's squad mates turned around. Though, it would be their own doing. He took another shot at a new that turned around hitting them in the back of the shoulder blades. It would only be a matter of time before he ran out of power packs. With them getting into closer range, it made it easier to take shots and it became less tasking to take critical hits. It was inevitable to keep taking shots trying to slim down the forces forever. More than likely, he would have to engage in close combat, but he wouldn't want to risk that.

"Copy that Thyr, I just need to keep the snipers outside of the compound to hold their position. It's not safe to make too much movement at the moment. I may be heading back shortly to speed up the engineers work," he responded over his comm.

He started to take sparing shots when he could. Telag was already on the last few shots on his second power pack. It would be enough for the time being, but he would need to think of a new way to handle the incoming forces. This was a bit more cumbersome that he anticipated it would be. Telag was a bit wary of what he or any of the other snipers were to if they were spotted. Though, he would have to have faith in his fellow Mandalorians. They would have to cross that bridge when they got there.

"Judging by their strategy, these guys are pretty decent," Telag stated, "I wouldn't mind having any of them in Clan Zar'af."

Explosions, blood, corpses and blaster bolts filling the already thin air of the battlefield were making the day simply.. simply...
...Perfect.
This was the moment the Basaakith was waiting for so long, War, war on his bloodiest form, and as the Mandalorians defended their position with the uttermost brutality against their nemesis he was grinning at the sight.
Multiple waves of dead bodies, the occasional heavily wounded enemy present among the corpses was quickly killed on sight by the hellfire of blaster bolts sent by the Mandalorians.
But this wasn't to last as on the hilltop where the Echani general and his Mandalorian son started dueling new figures arose among the chaos, they used thin but large energy shields started moving down from the hill using phalanx formations, blaster rifles started picking out of the holes between one shield and another and started shooting blindly at the trenches, managing to hit various unnamed Mandalorians as they slowly but surely descended the hill.
This was honestly unexpected for the Mando's, with their enemy now using such an unorthodox tactic used to advance, the Mando's had to think about something new if they wanted to stop their enemies before they reached CQC range.

Snipers I need you repositioned immediately, the enemy is changing tactics, do not expect anything ordinary from now on!

As Thyr shouted into the comms, a blaster bolt would reach his shoulder, grazing his armor but still wounding his right shoulder, the Mando would shout in pain as it got immediately into cover, but he could not let himself sent unconscious by a simple stray shot, and so he took his Nova rifle and started peeking out, hitting some of the Echani's from the holes used by them to let their soldiers shoot.

Fox Sniping 1 to Sniper Leader, we reposi... they found us! dam--

Meanwhile, static would now cover Telag's radio, the snipers would have to act quickly, or they would be uncovered one by one.

Q'san ran forward, striking with scimitars in an outward arcing scissor strike, that was caught in the blade of his father's Falx, who then, attempted to rip the weapons from his grasp, using the curve in the blade to 'grab' the scimitars and pull them. Q'san quickly disengaged, and pulled back on his charge, digging into his stance.

"Q'san, please, listen to me," his father pleaded, as he also took up a defensive stance, "We thought you were killed in captivity."

No answer came from Q'san only greater anger, as he surged forward again, hammering down strikes, one after the other. The two had matched speed and weapon control, striking, blocking, parrying, countering each other's attacks until the aged Echani left himself open for the briefest of moments, allowing Q'san to land a solid pommel strike with his left scimitar on his jaw. "You never sent anyone to confrim or deny that claim, now did you? Did you even consider the possibility that I might be alive? That they might not kill a 15 year old boy?!" he shouted at him, his emotions pouring out through his words, as tears welled in his eyes. He'd blink them back, and continued his assault, spinning into a heavy cleave with both scimitars, using their weight to bat the Falx from his father's hands. "You're nothing to me," he whispered, as his scimitar sliced into his father's unarmored leg, cutting deeply into it, and causing him to fall to his knees. Q'san stood over his father, looking downward, into his father's eyes, the fire of hate burning deeply within them. "See you in hell," Q'san said, activating the vibro-motors, and dragging both blades across his neck, severing his head from his shoulders.

As theheadlesss corpse fell to the ground, the head rolled humorously down the hill. Q'san had come to do what he wanted to do, and would now return to his comrades, not before collecting his father's Falx, and scabbard.

"Ah, kriffin bullocks!" he yelled to himself.

This wasn't turning out the way he thought. Holding his position became somewhat pointless. Telag took another shot hitting his target about 300 hundred meters out before standing up. He turned around to spot a small squad of four Echani armed with vibroblades and light pistols headed toward him about 200 meters. Stretching his neck side to side he prepared himself. He could run, but he felt no need to use energy doing that. He would take on his opponents in close combat. He lifted his sniper rifle and aimed a shot at the one in the middle. The target's head lunged backwards due to the force of the projectile. Three against one seemed good enough in his opinion. It wasn't like he hadn't been in a similar position before.

He sighed before relaying a message to the rest of the snipers, "All remaining sniper units, prepare for close combat. Re-position yourselves if you're able to get better shots on the enemy."

Telag looked to his left as a Mandalorian in crimson armor landed next to him. Telag nodded his head to her as he slung his sniper rifle over his back and drew his Thunderbuster. Two to three was a change in pace. Though, he rather conserve what's left of his ammo. There wasn't anything close to the feeling of fighting in melee combat. He turned his head to the woman and motioned his hand to advance forward. Telag started to sprint toward the three approaching targets with his pistol in front of him. He took a couple of shots and pointed at his next target aiming for their shoulder. One of the shots successfully hit causing the Echani to drop his weapon.

Upon getting in range, the injured warrior had charged barehanded toward him. Telag arched his left fist back as he holstered his pistol with his right. He successfully punched the his opponent square in the jaw to then headbutt him. As he attempted to lift up the warrior, a vibroblade came whizzing toward his side. Telag was able to get his hand on a piece of the injured Echani's armor to move both of them out the way of the incoming blow. Really? Cutting through your teammate is a bit reckless, he thought.

He dodged an incoming stab from from his opponent as he spun to his left. Telag quickly performed a sweeping kick knocking the swordsman to the ground. He then activated the blade within his gauntlet attempting to lunge it in his attackers throat. The swordsman attempted hold Telag's wrist to avoid taking on the blade. Though, Telag was getting the better of him. The warrior Telag injured earlier tackled him to the ground, but wasn't careful enough having taken on Telag's blade through the side of his armor. Telag quickly drew his heavy pistol as he saw the swordsman lifted his blade up to impale both of them. BOOM!!! Telag's shot entered the swordsman's leg as a sizable body had been thrown into the swordsman knocking him off of his feet. The woman in crimson beskar helped him up as the Echani she threw struggled to get to his knees. Telag looked to the remaining two and held his Thunderbuster toward one of their heads. He pulled the trigger as he gently shook his wrist to the side missing his target.

"How dare you? Kill us! We don't want your mercy!" the Echani with the injured leg spouted out.

"Speak for yourself. You fight well, Mandalorians. Maybe we'll fight again sometime if you live," one of the warriors said while holding his ribs.

"If you have the guts you can always join the Dominion. You can fight with a greater purpose and be rewarded greatly. If you do join ask for those of Clan Zar'af. I'll vouch for you. Patch yourselves up warriors," Telag responded as he and the crimson clad woman activated their Z-4 jetpacks and flew toward the trenches.

The trenches were still managing to hold up after the Dominion Supercommando's managed to carry on with their objectives, but this wasn't to last long as the Echani forces started bringing up Light Walkers and Vehicles to the battlefield, with casualties starting to pop up on the mandalorian side and the Eshan forces closing up more and more to the trenches.
The one on the worst area of the battlefield now was the Echani mando, Q'san was now alone inside enemy territory, and this would only become worst as various Guards of the now-dead general would now close up on him, enraged and trained for only one thing, kill.
Meanwhile, the mandalorian snipers would start facing a bad time against the melee masters of the Echani, facing multiple casualties and with many of the remaining ones moving back to support the Entrenched squads.
At last, there were the trenches, bloddy and wretched as Mandalorians fell left and right against the overwhelming enemies, each mandalorian now fighting for their survival and the ones of their comrades as Echani melee warriors managed to get into the trenchline.
Thyr's position was the most caotic as he mauled incoming enemies with all of his equipment, he had to retreat into the main trenchline from his position as it was overwhelmed by entire squads of shielded enemies, but there's was still a trick to the Mando's side before eventually fighting to death...

Everyone in the Trenches, it's finally time, show them what a real Mandalorian is worth! Make Them Shine!.

As the last words were heard on everyone's comm, the various jetpack payloads that were left in the now overwhelmed gun position blew up, creating a spectacular explosion that engulfed most of immediate threat, with various enemy platoons and Walkers now burning in the ground, but the enemy wasn't the only one affected by this, in fact the remaining Mando's shouted their battlecries and were now fighting with all of their strenght and forces, with casualties now on both sides, one last message of hope came from the Engineers...

We are close to done, Resist and Bite a little longer brothers, the Invasion Fleet is close to the planet... resist just a little longer.

Q'san stepped back at the eviscerated body of his father, and what he thought would be joy, was a feeling worse than death. He'd denied ever loving the man that abandoned him. He'd sworn from the time he was sixteen, to this very moment, 20-odd years later, that he'd look into his father's eyes as he killed him and feel nothing. He was never more wrong. He turned up to see the walkers come in, and roared with anger, lifting his left gauntlet and firing two missiles into the sides of the walkers, destroying both of them, the remnants of the walked falling down around him, cutting off a landspeeder, and causing the crew to jump out of their vehicle, only to be mowed down by Q'san's quick trigger finger. From behind the walkers, obscuring his allies' view of him, he jumps into the driver seat, and high-tails it to the remote ends of Eshan, leaving his scimitars, as well as his life as a Mandalorian SuperCommando, taking with him, everything else.

The weight of it all, crushed Q'san's spirit, and his blame was placed elsewhere; at Mandalore, and her children fro brainwashing him into believing what he'd believed for two-thirds of his life. He'd leave it all behind him, now and forever. What he'd do now, was beyond him, but he'd have plenty of time to think about it, on his ride off of Eshan.

//Exit Thread

(Sorry for the long wait. I figured this to be a good exit strategy for Q'san out of the Dominion, with it becoming a main Faction Post-TS. Lots of potential for his character in other ways, as well as a Mando that I have in Workshops to be used in the future. Thanks for doing this thread, with me, guys. And thanks to @LordOfShadows for the idea of using Q'san;s killing of his father as an exit strategy.)

The black clad Mandalorian landed within the trenches barely missing the light blaster fire. He hoped that the engineers would work a bit faster. There was no way they were going to hold this forever. It had been a while since he been in a battle of such intensity. Being in a defensive position wasn't his favorite position. Formerly being a contractor, constantly had him on the offensive most of the time. Seeing a couple of his comrades fall gave him an eerie feeling that he didn't like. It was like someone was tearing at his gut and he couldn't do anything about it.

He unstrapped his sniper rifle from his back and set up his bipod on the edge of the embankment. Telag checked his rifle before returning his fire upon the advancing forces. The woman in red beskar had already set up her rifle before he could even get ready. It made him seem old. He wasn't sure if he was getting slower or if he was just being cautious due to age. Each shot had to count as he took deep breaths between each cycling round. These fighters were relentless. It would take more power than what they had to take them down.

"Keep holding men! Hold!!!" he commanded over his comms.

Hope... Was lost.

The Echani troops would soon overwhelm the Mandalorians, with the few survivors almost outnumbered 40 to 1, the massacre of Mandalorian forces started when the shielded Echani got inside the trenches, basically tanking the whole battle by themselves against the heavy armored but not heavy hitting Mando's.
But losing hope didn't mean losing the battle, not for Thyr and his team, that after having put a last stand area attached to the main gate they would accept their possible fate, silently fighting and dying, but surrender? Never.

And then, as sudden as the bloodshed that happened few moments ago, a rumble broke into the sky... They arrived! The Invasion Fleet finally arrived, and like angels of death various starfighterd would descend from the sky, bombing and blasting the now panicked Echani army, the fighters would be followed by groups of transports, landing in the just built area they would release waves of Commando's and vehicles that would instantly move to the frontline, and so the slaughter began again...

And so Thyr stopped shooting, he would throw his rifle on the now blood red grass of these Plains... And he would cry watching the bodies of long lasting comrades impaled inside the trenches, they would not be forgotten, they would be avenged... The Invasion of Eshan had just begun.
