Drastus Drahr. Now there was an interesting Padawan. Talented, capable, and funny. Jedi Master Drow Venn found him to be all of those things. But he also knew him to be aggressive, hotheaded and violent at times which, ironically enough, made him the perfect candidate for what Drow had in mind. It wasn't easy approaching Jedi to engage in this clandestine operation of Drow. He and Taldorak had been hard at work destabilizing the Syndicates and Sith and doing it outside of Council approval was no easy task. But if they played their cards right, there was a chance that the entire planet of Eiattu 6 could be liberated and the Sith and Syndicates would be at each other's throats.

He'd invited Drastus here in this clearing of the woods of Yavin IV ostensibly to practice their swordplay but, really he had a much broader purpose in mind; recruitment. Drow had found himself flirting dangerously closer to the Dark Side and the last thing he wanted was for another Jedi to have to do what the Ishi Tib had done to achieve victory over the Sith. But Drastus wasn't like the other Jedi and Drow figured if the boy was headed towards a dark path, the least he could do was direct that anger somewhere a bit more constructive. Maybe by making sure Drastus didn't fall too far into the darkness, he could stop himself from doing it too. He hoped so anyway. After they'd finished dueling, Drow laid out what he had in mind to Drastus.

"...so that's the operation. Cards on the table, this does not have the Council's backing and there's a good chance some crimes will be committed as a result. I need Jedi that can wade into the darkness and walk back out. I need fighters. And I think you fit the bill kid. What do you say?" Drow asked.

It wasn't uncommon for Drow and Drastus to meet and spar together. The pair had been on several operations together over the years. It was also no question that the Ishi Tib was a little darker than other Jedi, not because he was evil, but because his years as a Merc blurred the lines. But at the end of the day, who needed lines?

So Drast listened as Drow spoke. Another unsanctioned mission. But this one, like the other held a lot of promise. So, the young man would dry the sweat from his brow with a towel, head nodding. "I'm heading to the Core to aid Master Thral, but if I can find the time and the means, I'll help you out." The Jedi were growing stagnant once again, and he could feel the push of his ancestors towards the action. "May be a few weeks, but this operation sounds like it could really be long term."

"I think you're right about that. But long term planning yields greater results, I've found. With luck, if this goes right, the entire planet of Eiattu 6 will be liberated and the Sith and the Syndicates will be at each other's throats." Drow said, clapping the young man on the shoulder.

"You're a good kid, Drastus. Jedi like us are rare but I've recently come to the realization that the Order needs us. That being said, I trust you to keep this under wraps. The Council don't know about this and I don't think they'd want to frankly. But any allies you have that might be interested in such a venture, send them my way. You have my holo frequency." Drow told the young man seriously.

"That sounds like a great way to not only weaken the Sith in their control, but also their power. Hard to fight a two-front war.. And just because the Syndicates are quiet now, doesn't mean they can't become a force later. Force them to fight the Sith and we limit both sides." Drast said as he sounded out the plan a bit more.

Drow's words would give him pause. He didn't think he was a good kid, always stirring something up, especially after Denon. "Yeah.. The Jedi are a bit too... complacent.." he'd admit. "We all but abandoned Master Tallis, we have maybe one Councillor with Master Grayza stepping down.. and we have no teeth for the war.. We've won what? Two battles against the Sith, maybe three? It will be good to pull off a win. I won't tell the Council, I think I'm like one bad joke from being bounced." he'd say with a laugh. "But uh.. I'll spread word amongst other helpful ears, see if I can uncover any other help."
