The Moons over Concord Dawn
latest

Kae'Tl was on board Cade's Sunskimmer-Class Starbird, the pair had taken the ship to meet with the Mandalorian contact Dr. Skirata. Kae'Tl wasn't fond of the idea of taking only a single ship, and inside Cade's patrol craft her and the thirty Wardens she's brought were incredibly cramped.

Kae'Tl climbed into the co-pilot's seat and sent a hail out to the Dawnward Mobility Technolgies as they approached Concord Dawn,"This is Kae'Tl, Grand Councilor of The Kjlljk Protectorate, requesting permission to dock." She said leaning over the Communications suite. "This meeting shouldn't take too long, pretty simple, a bit of negotiations and then pay and trade." she informed her crew. She wasn't worried about being out numbered or out gunned, she's believed the trade between the two groups would go smoothly because of their positive relationship.

Cade brought his ship as close to the port as he believed to be safe before receiving an ok from the Mandalorians.

This was not the first dealing the Kjlljk Protectorate. They had suffered from a series of unfortunate events as of late. The heads of Dawnward Design Industries saw a future deal coming before the leadership of the Protectorate had even thought about making one. It made sense after all, the desire for bolstered defenses and a sharpened offense. It was just a matter of time and that time was happening now.

In high orbit around Concord Dawn's third moon was a space station for trade. It was well defended with sufficient armament, a population of seven hundred individuals as well as a few hundred more of travelers. It was over a kilometer in length and height and half a kilometer wide. This made it large enough to have corvettes and other large capital craft dock inside its hangar bays if there was space. Other large capital craft could, by external means, dock with the space station. It was a relatively knew addition to the local solar system but one that would serve it well for years to come.

The doctor waited aboard the space station with his usual armor on. The black was in contrast to the bright orange symbols and detailing that was customary of the skirata house and the clans under it. If they were beast of the jungle the armor colors would say 'watch out, i'm dangeorus!' But that was just a passive warning that was missed by the ignorant masses. Members of clan Kelborn didn't even really use the bright colors, they were just as blacker than even House Ordo. True killers didn't give any warning.

The Protectorate members were expected and this wasn't technically a military facility. They had permission and space to land in one of the large hangar bays. Donar was standing waiting for them with his helmet clipped to his belt putting his grown beard and scared face on display. He watched patiently as the ship made its landing, several of his own warriors waiting with him. Some were meant just as a show of presence others served secondary functions as logistics, engineering and other factors that came with this sort of business. The warriors were not meant to intimidate or bully the Protectorate but instead show some respect for how they considered the meeting. A guest that wasn't received with an audience could assume they weren't important.

Kae'Tl walked onto the space station landing pad, herself and her men stretching out after the cramped ride that seemed to last hours longer than it actually did. After the brief informal moment, the men all lined up behind her as she started walking toward the Mandalorian attache. Her troops were also not a show of force, but merely necessary to pilot the ship that Kae'Tl was hoping to walk away with. They did however double as a security force for the protection of the Grand Councillor, not that she would need it in the presence of the Mandalorians, or more accurately that they would be of much use against such a force, Kae'Tl had few friends and trusted very little outside of her organization, or even within it..

Stepping into the station area from the loading bays Kae'Tl walked with purpose, her cape following her like a shadow, as well as her own detail of armed soldiers. Kae'Tl had been looking forward to this deal with the Mandalorians, Her fleet, while capable, was always in need of additional heavy hitters. And the Mandalorians were willing to oblige her need.

Once within ear shot of the Mandalorian group,"Docotor." She said with a nod, and a small bow,"Good to see you again." she'd say next as she outreached a hand to shake his.

He smiled slightly both at seeing the Kjlljk Protectorate again knowing it was good business with them. But it was also somewhat amusing to see them collect themselves and making it look like a number of clowns exiting a miniature land speeder that should only hold one. Still he did not judge nor even bring it up. By the time they had collected themselves he had taken several steps to meet the group of warriors. "Likewise Grand Counselor." He said as he shook her hand with his own gloved hand.

"Care for some appetizers or do you want to get to the main course? He asked inviting the members of the protectorate to look at other armaments that Dawnward Design Industries provided. The warriors that Donar had brought with him all sported the latest and greatest of the company's line of weapons. The company had a plethora of equipment to provide. If the Protectorate wanted to mine an asteroid DDI could provide the means to do so just as they could provide the equipment for full on combat and transportation if that was the desired product.

Kae'Tl enthused to hear of the Mandaloroan's appetizers, she had incorrectly thought the DDI only manufactured ships,"I would love to see what else The DDI has to offer. I've been so busy as of late that I haven't had much time to peruse the entire catalogue of the DDI's manufacturing." She said, excitedly.

The Supercommandos standing behind the Doctor were impressive, their gear all newly pressed and their loadouts appearing to not be missing a single gadget one would need in the battlefield. Kae'Tl stole a glance at the Warden that was standing nearest a supercommando, the pair looked equally dangerous, her Wardens also fancied out with the Protectorate's own lateat and greatest. For a moment Kae'Tl wondered how a one on one would fair, though it would never actually happen.

Cutting her fantasy short,"Doctor, your men are impressive, and their gear does not appear to lack at all, I would love to see what you have available for use in the field."

At the woman's behest he produced a data pad with a catalog of items that would peak her interest. "Only the best of course. We are more than happy to deal with the Protectorate and you are not too difficult to deal with yourself." He said with a smile as they began walking.

"The Cleaver class is more than capable of housing your ship in its hangar but I wanted to bring you on board the station because there are finishing preparations and I did not want us to get in the way. Your warriors are more than welcome to head over and begin getting acquainted with the systems. Some of the skeleton crew will perform the turn-over." He would lead them to lounge that was rather spartan in appearance. The station itself had only been around a relatively short while and the interior was pragmatic more than anything.

Kae'Tl dismissed most of her men to the task, only two stayed behind, and followed the Doctor to the, definitely Mandalorian, lounge.

"Based on the specs you provided prior to our travel, I've brought enough men to operate the ship, with the exception of some Hanger crew. So, thinking ahead here, I hope it's ok if we dock our clown car whilst still present at the station." She said as if the deal had already been struck.

Before the Doctor replied, Kae'Tl asked the wait staff, that had clearly been informed of her appointment, for a brandy. Which was delivered so quickly Kae'Tl wondered if they has also been told what she was most likely to order.

Kae'Tl looked to the Doctor, after looking up from the catalog,"This equipment is impressive, no doubt about that, specifically the Cmbp 12's, the Protectorate does not currently, nor plan to any time soon, manufacture a reliable side are for our military."

Kae'Tl checked the standard price. That's fair.... Still though.. She thought, then said,"We'd need roughly fourteen-hundred. We can take whatever you have on hand now, and we can set up deliveries later. Of course well be paying for whatever you have on hand, now, and the shipments as they're available. At, say eighty-five percent market price.." until the very end, one may not of even realized she was haggling.

The man took a seat in a comfortable chair. While the duke would have taken ne'tra gal or tihaar on another day, this evening he chose a sour-mash whisky. His own seat did not have arm rests, a personal choice his mentor had ingrained him among other lessons. He heard the woman's statement and nodded. He stayed silent whilest listening to the grand councilor.

"The um...brawler blasters... he said referring to the popularized name rather than their official designation of the weapon to which the woman refered. "I feel it appropriate for me to make sure you check the other options. There's the nomad which is in my opinion an improvement of the original. There's the paralax light blasters which might fit a few of your warrior's preferences. Higher rate of fire but lower damage, less recoil. The alternators might be more...how do i say...specific. He scanned the woman's face for any indication of interest. While he was a doctor and a duke he was also a salesman, not by choice but just by circumstance.

"The revolutions are more rugged and pack a heavier punch but you're troops might find them a little...simpler...than other sidearms. I personally like them but that might be my biased opinion. The vestri models are more conservative and better for concealed carry moreso than even than the CMBP-12 models. If you're not looking for non-lethal means then don't worry about the three zero threes."[/color] he finished the dismissal of the final option with a wave of his free hand as the other gripped a glass of the spirit he had chosen.

Keeping a pause in the air he raised his free hand for a moment to stop the woman from feeling like she was implicated to respond imediatly. "there is no rush. Take your time. Here at DDI we pride ourselves in quality service so if you have personal requests feel free to annotate them as such and we will try to make them work as best we can. He waited patiently, taking a decent sniff his drink beofore taking an even more generous sip of the beverage.
