Per my OP template, thread is death enabled
Vander now felt that his infiltration and assassination on the Wheel - including his subsequent capture and bail out on the same station - was all worth it.

His path in his hunt for Occidius had led him to just about every type of enemy territory, and the Empire was no exception. The access codes for Imperial space had given he and his partner access to Columex.

The city-planet was the ideal place for a Sith cult because the densely packed planet gave it anything but a "small town" vibe. In fact, this was exactly the kind of place that Vander liked to hunt because when your target disappeared, no on really batted an eye. It was just another statistic.

The acolyte who was coming along with him for this hunt was a bit of an unknown quantity. Vander didn't like unknowns, which led Vander to be a little... skeptical. They had taken an unmarked Sith shuttle to the planet together, and as Vander's pilot droid Bart came in to set the ship down, Vander turned his attention to the other Sith.

So what is it you do? he asked. Although he meant "what's your specialty of study" Vander's question was a bit... vaguer.

Cyrus couldn’t deny being.. Ever-so-slightly unsettled by the assignment with Vander. The Acolyte had undertaken multiple assignments near Umbara and the new Korriban academy, regular activities that befit his status at the lowest rung of the Sith hierarchy. Nothing quite as important as their assignment to Columnex, and the fact that they were hunting rogue Sith - associated with the same group that had occupied Utapau - did little to settle his nerves.

He didn’t need to be on Utapau to hear about what had occurred. And if the stories were true, the Acolyte could live quite comfortably without ever going within arms-reach of another crazed Sith declaring themselves the Dark Lord.

None of his concerns were vocalized as Cyrus boarded and began their journey to the industrial planet, adorned in relatively simple and nondescript robes. Dark fabric draped across his body and cloaked the upper hemisphere of his face, though only a vibroblade hung beneath the fabric and from the hook on his belt. Perhaps most intriguing were the buckled gloves that Cyrus wore above his attire, keeping his hands concealed behind mesh and leather.

As the shuttle began to descend, Cyrus lifted his gaze from his lap - allowing mahogany eyes to settle upon Vander with a blank, deadpan expression. The Acolyte wasn’t about to vocalize how odd the question was, considering that most of his peers were assigned to do.. Whatever people like Vander wanted for an assignment.

He blinked twice.

“Follow your lead, presumably.” He said flatly. The Acolyte drummed his fingers for a moment, knowing that wasn't likely the question Vander was asking. “My studies have led towards the Arcane. Sign casting under the tutelage of Korriban instructors, research.”
