Backstory is in the first post.

I'm quite surprised at the amount of interest shown. Not saying I don't like it, but it's more than I expected.

Still in. I'm guessing we're the mortals?

I'm certainly inclined to being a group of followers of a/the death god...

You can definately be followers of a god of death, but this time around, because you're not the actual god, there's a lot more flexibility. You don't have to have a domain. However, your hero and the followers of your god should definately be a reflection of what your god is like and how they operate.

Sounds good, when do they start?

I still want to get a few more things together, so expect me to have everything ready by tomorrow. I'd do it sooner, but I'm going to be running all over the city in about an hour or so.

I did say I wanted to be something to do with the god of death...and I said if you decided things like having a god of death were too complex pehaps to RP this time around I'd take fire. But having thought about it, if Kupo is the god of death's followers, could I be the god(dess) of life/birth's followers?

I'm actually planning on my own hero being the chosen of Elendur, the god of creation and nature from the first Divine RP, who vanished during the un-RPed 'history' of the Second conflict.

During this time, a new god could have risen to replace him in that role, which could lead to an interesting conflict between old and new gods.

I'll be writing up a history of the past two Divine RPs as background - it won't be immensely detailed, but it'll exist as a sort of half-painted portrait of the history of the Earth, allowing for RPers to add their own sections and whatnot.

Well life, birth and creation are three different things. As are death and the uinderworld, which is why in most pagan religions the two things were seen as separate. So if kupo's people worship the god of death as in the act of dying it would be different than the god that looks over the underworld. Just as the god of birth, is separate from a god of life itself, who I suppose would be kind of like a guardian angel type figure, both of whom in turn are separate from a god of creation who would be your character.

My followers would be the worshippers of my old Death god, and owuld hold to his style, though somewhat corrupted. They would follow the same sort of passive, uncaring-ness. After all, death brings them closer to their god.

However, when roused, they would be utterly fearless, and even joyful in battle. In killing you, not only do they please their god (in their eyes) but they gift you with being close to him as well.

I just need to find the name of ol' Death...

If we can work with old gods then I'd like enlist Dagaia to help Elendur. He was the first God of the Earth (if you don't remember, people affectionately dubbed him "Rock Cock")

I already grabbed the god of the earth there.
