Zak had been consumed by humanitarian work, it was a place he was comfortable in, it suited him. However, a shift in the Force, She had called him back from his useful, if benign work and back to the Galaxy as a whole. A change was on the winds of the Galaxy and as a servant of the Force, it was his duty to do his due diligence. As such, he had begun reaching out to members of the FWA in order to rally allies in the ongoing crusade against the Killik Dark Hives. While several offices had been contacted, one that stood out was Rrodossk, the representative of Trandosha.

Up until this point, Zak had never visited Trandosha and knew little of the world’s culture or customs. He had of course learned about the surface level and stereotypes that were often applied to the race. This was compounded by his lacking knowledge about the Senator he was meeting, at least his policies and views on the Jedi Order. As such, the weeks leading up to the meeting were spent in the Archives, absorbing as much information regarding Trandosha and Senator Rrodossk.

It was during those weeks that Zak had learned many interesting details regarding the Trandoshans. Namely that the race were comprised of hunters, not too dissimilar from the Togruta of his own homeworld of Shili. The primary difference seemed to be the Trandoshan’s hyper fixation on the hunt itself, to the point many races considered them barbaric and in some regards, Zak agreed with the sentiment. During his time in Kashyyyk, Zak had grown fond of the Wookiees and the Trandoshans seemed to revel in hunting them for sport, it disgusted Zak.

However, the Jedi Master pushed his personal feelings aside. This duty was bigger than him, this had to deal with the Galaxy as a whole, and the Order he served. His researched also revealed that Rrodossk’s own son had been a Jedi, albeit one who left the Order after reports of his sister’s death at the hands of a Jedi. While it was concerning, it didn’t imply ill will, Zak knew first hand that many who left the Order went on to do great things for the Galaxy.

Towards the end of his research, Zak reached out to Shili, his homeworld. He had earned favors with one of the locale dignitaries during his Knighthood. He had defeated a lone Sith warrior that had attacked a city, maiming several citizens and causing fear and panic. It was through these channels that Zak secured his gifts to Rrodossk.

First was the Akul tooth necklace that Zak had earned for himself when he was a Padawan learner. The necklace was silver and had several pearls that complimented the ivory teeth of the great beast. Second, was a hand written invitation to the Trandoshan and his entourage to hunt an Akul on the surface of Shili for themselves. An opportunity to hunt a world’s apex predator, was not one lightly passed up. And finally, an MK Sniper Rifle in a durasteel carrying case. The energy cell wasn’t loaded into the weapon BUT it was the suggest weapon for hunting an Akul.

With his gifts secured and his research completely, Zakrym La, Jedi Master and member of the High Council would reach out to the office of Rrodossk on Trandosha for a diplomatic meeting. Once a date and meeting place had been arranged, Zak would make his way to the world in his sleek diplomatic vessel, commonly used by Jedi diplomats. A meeting would soon be at hand.

The landing pad near his home changed quite a bit after the last time guests had visited. It once was small, almost quaint. A few small turrets were there at most. But now it was rather different. It went from a simple civilian pad to a military instilation soon after the New Republic declared war on the FWA. It's deck was nearly triple its original thickness, reinforced with much more durasteel. The once simple laser cannon turrets were turned into massive watch towers, heavily fortified and armed to the teeth. A platoon was on hand at all times to man the station and guard the landing site, armed and armored for an assault.

The newly expanded swamp compound was swarming with guards of various species and droid models, ensuring the unofficial face of Trandosha and his family were safe. Not that the Wassak clan was a pushover however, even in Rrodossks advancing age his greying scales still show off an impressive musculature. Yossk had also been regularly training for combat, both hand to hand and grand command which was shown off in his defeat of the New Republic fleet.

The security was tight around the compound, especially with foreign objects and beings entering. Zak had his entire body scanned multiple times for hidden weapons or liquids, the gifts were analyzed for toxins or explosives, with even the rifle and its case being disassembled and reassembled to be analyzed. With nothing from a listening device to toxins to explosives being traced, the items were returned to the Jedi and they were allowed to enter.

Four guards, with two armed with disriptors, boxed the Jedi in as a protocol droid showed the way. It was not to the traditional office room that most brings would be familiar with, but instead a wide hexagonal garden that sat in the middle of the compound. The sky was rather high, yet it was still lowering over one of the six walls of the building. It gave light to a lush garden, with plenty of exotic plants as well as many native plants of Trandosha. Bushes, insectavor plants, flowers, and even small trees were littered around the wide space with many stone walkways allowing those to walk without the disturbance of many plants.

What was heard though was not as peaceful as the garden scape would normally be. The young Yossk was there in his full combat armor his saber glowing a beautiful orange. He was in combat with two IG droids, each armed with two electrostaves. The blades were either dodged or blocked by his sabers, with the occasional showing from his vibroaxe. The swings and crashes and crackles of electricity were noticeable but not overwhelming.

"My son is rather adamant about our security," the older Trandoshan directed to the visitor as he stepped forward from a bench, "as you can probably tell by now. I apologize if there was any problem getting through, we just wish to keep safe after the invasion of the New Republic's government. Rrodossk, and I presume you are my guest?" The old Trandoshan wore a thick black Wookie cloak, a symbol of power in Trandoshan culture, as well as a new ruby red tunic that displayed a tapestry depicting the story of how his son took down a Republic Dreadnaught. Of course it was somewhat exaggerated, but it was clear the father was proud of his son.
