BIOGRAPHY

IMG_9293.jpg

Crun Salu as a Jedi Knight.

A Jedi once. Crun Salu's fall is one steeped in fear, pain, and suffering. After Order 66, he was eventually captured and conscripted into the Inquisitorious. Renamed the Twelfth Brother, his role as an Inquisitor was one that crippled him. If any light were left in him before, it was scotched out after being commanded to seize—and sometimes slaughter—one too many Force-sensitive adolescents.

At the end of the Galactic Civil War, the Inquisitors vanished. The Twelfth Brother was no exception. Much like the denouement of the Republic, the Empire's defeat demanded his own dissolution. Again, he was forced into exile—left to darkness—unwanted and unwelcomed in the galaxy.

A decade later, the forlorn falleen returned to the most recent and closest thing to home that he knew. A watery moon located in the Mustafar system. He couldn't be certain as to whether or not the facility, hidden beneath the all consuming oceans of Nur, had been completely abandoned or destroyed. So, Crun approached and investigated the location with acute apprehension. Having no place in the Imperial remnant that still lurked in the shadows of the galaxy, and—without a doubt—being a sworn enemy to the fledgling New Republic...one could not be too careful.

What the ex-Inquisitor discovered, was not at all what he'd hoped for. Jilted, the underlying fortress was, but unoccupied...it was not. The dark side of the Force kept the base as its own headquarters. Its portentously powerful presence dominated the dormant stronghold. Had Crun wanted to turn away, he wouldn't have been able to. No, he wouldn't be caught by those who sought to bring him the justice he deserved. Not there. Not in that place, because there, he was already a captive.

No... A slave.

Transmogrified by the dark side of the Force.

Decade upon decade passed, and there—in the bowels of Nur—the afflicted creature remained. Stripped of every indication of his former self and transformed, from the fallen Jedi Knight ex-Inquisitor, into a monstrosity of the likes which he'd never seen or even heard of. He had become the Dark side's Damned. The Defiled. The Devoured. The Doomed.

He had become the indicium of the Dark side itself. He had become...

Dicium.

APPEARANCE

Darth.png

Before dark side corruption, and after.

The pronounced features of his kind are all but gone. What remains are the distinguishing characteristics of decaying flesh. The dark side of the Force feeds on his fear, the consternation that has placed him in exile. Decades of seclusion, accompanied consistently by the Force alone. That which drains him, also sustains him. As afflicted as he may be outwardly, the scars run deeper within, tormented by his troubled past—wrestling with both morality and mortality.

PERSONALITY

Paranoia shapes his personality now. His life has left him mistrustful and suspicious of everyone and everything. He has not interacted with any sentient beings for more than a century. The only lifeforms that have visited him have been visions conceived by the Force, as well as delusions and hallucinations created by his own imagination.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

Having been trained by the Jedi, he was a relatively skilled defender. His physical strength and size, bolstered by the Force made his guard difficult to break. As an Inquisitor, however, he was forced to change tactics. The propensity he'd had for the form of resilience was quite literally beat out of him and replaced with overpowering assault. Protection gave way to aggression.

Having never been trained to become a true Sith, his inculcation with the dark side of the Force is limited to that which Darth Vader and the Emperor had deemed necessary to share with the brothers and sisters of the Inquisitorious. Limited, too, was his experience as a Jedi Knight. Therefore, his training overall would best be categorized as incomplete. Still, though untested, his time spent in exile—thronged by the Dark side—has left him pullulated with unleashed potential and power.
